I couldn’t see an existing thread, so I thought I’d start one. If there is one already going, please point me in the right direction - though I imagine there are not many people due in this month just yet!!

I just found out I’m pregnant. I’ve calculated my due date to be the 1st of January 2027.

This is my third pregnancy. It’s come as a bit of a shock, but a very happy one! My first two were quite close together, and I thought I’d left the baby phase behind. I also gave away all our baby stuff already 🫠

It would be nice to chat to others in the same stage of pregnancy as we go through it all together 🥰

Really pleased for you! That must have been a stressful wait. I had a scan at 6+1 the other day and heartbeat also present but they didnt comment on the rate. I understand it can be slow to begin with. It measured 3.8mm and apparently they find it hard to date pregnancies under 4mm so I have to go back in a few weeks to date it properly apparently. Hopefully all is well. Also still not on the whatspp for similar reasons to you! X

That sounds very very similar to what they said to me. I went in for an early scan at 6 weeks but from looking at it presumed I was a bit behind, hence the slow rate. I feel a bit more confident now but still very, very worried. I keep just reminding myself that lots of people have losses and go on to have successful pregnancies and there’s nothing I can do about it either way but easier said than done!
we must be about a similar date so can join the Whattsapp group together 🤣🤣🤣

I had my early scan on Wednesday, online calculator had put me at 7+0 but measurements put me at 5+6 (I think she said 4.something mm). I wasn’t concerned about that because I suspected I had ovulated late and there was a clearly visible heartbeat but she didn’t say anything about what the heart rate was/should be and now I’m wondering if I should have asked!

Hi, I am sure if there was any concern then they would have asked you to return/informed you/referred you to epu if concerned if it was a private scan :) Ive never been told the heart rate in any of my pregnancies.

erihskreb · 22/05/2026 22:23

@Bluehouse14 that’s good to know, thank you for the reassurance ☺️ it was an NHS scan due to fertility treatment (letrozole) but I was actually considering doing a private scan in a couple of weeks as well because DH couldn’t make it due to a work trip and was a bit gutted to have missed out!

@erihskreb please don’t worry about that (says the person currently worrying about everything!). If there was an issue they would have said/ got you to come back in for another scan quite soon after.
It was literally that my dates were off as my cycles are all over the place after my last loss- so the heart beat was slower as it had only just started. When I went in yesterday they didn’t tell me the rate or anything, just said everything now looked normal and to come back at 12 weeks.
Hard not to worry about everything though, isn’t it 😭😭😭

erihskreb · 23/05/2026 11:04

@feelingalittlehorse thank you! Glad everything is looking normal for you. It really is hard to stop worrying, I guess it starts now and never ends even when the baby is born and grown up 😂

FrozenPeass · 23/05/2026 19:05

Hello everyone! Hope it is on to join, I did a frozen egg transfer on 12th May and it worked ❤️

This baby will be my second, due 28th January but had an emergency c-section with my first and will go for an elective this time so will be a week earlier probably. I am very early of course but so happy that this transfer worked and hoping this baby sticks! Have a scan booked on the 11th of June which feels a long way away…

TheCalmWriter · 24/05/2026 06:38

💛7 January 💛

GiantYorkshirePud · 24/05/2026 08:44

Just had two very positive pregnancy tests at 10dpo!

Would mean baby is due 2nd Feb, but I would be having a ELCS like my DD, which would mean a January baby 🥰

DD was a Feb baby too :’), my body must like conceiving in may lol.

Sunshinemoom · 24/05/2026 11:11

Hey! Just found I’m pregnant near 5 months pp with my third! I’m due end of January! Probably have baby couple weeks early. 🙈

erihskreb · 26/05/2026 13:46

How’s everyone getting on with the nausea in this heat? 😩 feel like I’m eating half a box of ice lollies a day!

my nausea hasn’t kicked in yet. But when I had it last year in the hot weather lucozade sport were a life saver!

MonsteraLeaf · 26/05/2026 17:41

Major nausea and back pain today, I'm thankful this seems to be the last of the very hot weather for now 🔥

I AM eating half a box of ice pops a day 😂😂

erihskreb · 26/05/2026 19:19

@Sunshinemoom I’m jealous! I’ve been pretty much continuously nauseous since before I even tested and so over it already 😩 good call on the lucozade though, my DH has recently stocked up as the crazy fool went for an all day trail run in the heat yesterday so plenty for me to steal haha

@Doctor1988 very justified! 😅

Honestly I know your pain! I had HG my last pregnancy so I learnt a few tricks. Lucozade sport and McDonald’s full fat coke was my saviour last time. I’m enjoying the time currently when I don’t feel sick as I’m sure it coming 😩 at least you can steal some!! He is crazy doing a trail run in this heat though!

Hi everyone and congratulations! I just found out today that I’m pregnant for the first time in my life and at the age of 40 after years of PCOS-related ovulation issues. My DH and I had talked about IVF previously but I was not keen to go down that route after seeing how gruelling it was for my best friend. So we left it to chance and having sex just once last month has resulted in my first ever positive test…!

My due date is 30 January but I’m planning an ELCS so expect it will be a bit earlier. I’m so excited and also so nervous! It feels like a miracle and just so hard to believe but I’m also trying not to get ahead of myself because I know the risks are higher at my age. I just can’t believe it, though! I really hope it sticks.

Looking forward to getting to know people in this group and sharing your journeys with you. Hoping and praying for healthy pregnancies for us all!

p.s. I’ve had awful diarrhoea and already started feeling a bit queasy in the evenings… Is this normal for so early on? I’m week 4, day 4 (4+4)

feelingalittlehorse · 26/05/2026 22:11

Congratulations @GreenwichPips !!! How exciting for you!!!!

Congratulations! I'm 39 and feel the same.

I had an ELCS last time and it was wonderful, definitely having another this time :)

GreenwichPips · 26/05/2026 22:51

@feelingalittlehorse , @Doglover84 thank you so much for your lovely messages!

I’m so glad to hear that your ELCS went well, @Doglover84 - it’s another thing that’s making me nervous to great to hear you had such a positive experience that you’ve opted for the same again 🙂

When are your due dates?

JemRose · 26/05/2026 23:09

I spent the day skiving off work (remote worker) because too nauseous and sleepy in the heat. Feel guilty but the ice lollies in the paddling pool with my younger two DC’s were what I needed today! Seen afew comments in here of people possibly concerned by fewer symptoms/ no nausea yet and just wanted to reassure you that exactly one week ago at 5weeks 2 days I was Googling ‘why do I have absolutely no symptom a at 5 weeks pregnant?!’… well here I am a week later at 6 weeks 2 days with every symptoms in the book and wishing the nausea would give me a break.

Lillybobs86 · 26/05/2026 23:09

Loads more new posters since I last posted - Congratulations all :))
I am on the WhatsApp group but it’s so busy I can’t keep up 😅🙈
9 weeks this weekend and can’t believe how fast it’s going - so grateful to be here 🙏🏽
But the nausea and switching between starving and feel sick is difficult 🤣🙈
Anyone else having the NIPT this time?
I had it last pregnancy and I will again this time.
Ill be 40 next month 😭
But I know all will be fine just cuts anxiety to have it 🙏🏽

Congratulations @GreenwichPips
that’s lovely news x

GiantYorkshirePud · 27/05/2026 05:41

Congrats @GreenwichPips !

Im considering an NIPT, I didnt have one my first pregnancy and really regretted it, it would be nice to find out the sex of baby early too.🥰 I’m 34 this year and DH is 40 next month, it would ease alot of anxiety for us both.

Okigen · 27/05/2026 12:56

Hello, may I join in?

Found out I’m pregnant last week. Was a surprise but a welcoming one. This may wreck our travel plans as we have a two week trip booked in November and a 3 week trip in December, and we probably will need to cancel both 😅

Haven’t had nausea yet and I’m not looking forward to it!
