Hi, I am nervous even making this thread, like it is too soon to be on the pregnancy chat, but I am not telling anyone in real life, so I feel like it would be nice to have somewhere to talk about things with anyone who would like to join me 🙂.

We started ttc this baby in September 2022, I had a mmc in December 2022 then another in August 2023, then for the past 2 years we have been ttc without success, but I just got my positive test on Wednesday!
I can't believe it, I am obviously very happy and grateful but also extremely anxious.

@Ladyinpink1I never really had any symptoms except fatigue but the last few days I've been feeling pretty energetic... I'm taking that to mean I'm successfully moving out of the 1st trimester and into the 2nd.

@HollyGolightly4sorry to hear about your friend. I think that news would also send me spiralling. The statistics definitely help keep things in perspective. It might sound silly but when I'm really struggling, I've found repeating in my mind that... 'This is a different pregnancy, with a different baby and a different outcome' helpful. Trying to replace the negative thoughts spiralling around my mind with some more positive ones x

@CloudyIvy55 That's good to know you are the same and I need to tell myself that too, I think after Friday it will be easier. DH got me a lovely cotton pregnancy journal book and I haven't been able to bring myself to write in it because I was sure it would need returned, but thinking maybe doing things like that will help me feel better and thinks feel more real. x

@Kirsty198511 I am normally very positive about things too. I'm 13w +2d today (they moved me forward 2 days at my booking app). I will be glad to get it over with on Friday for sure and am going to maje a real effort to feel better about things after. I know, you definitely do count each day and just wish time would pass quicker, your scan will be here before you know it! x

@Fletchasketch Thank you, yes exactly, and it is nice to have a break from the nausea but at the same time at this stage you are kind of stuck because you cant feel movement and there aren't really symptoms so it makes me wonder, am i even pregnant lol. TBH I feel like we will find a worry no matter what is going on. Those are good statistics to think about. x

12 weeks today for me and the last day of my IVF meds!! Feels like a milestone although my scan isn't until Tuesday and the nerves are building - been distracting myself some rubbish reality TV and baking a cake today.

How's everyone else getting on?

HollyGolightly4 · 31/10/2025 19:44

Sounds like nice distraction techniques! Scan is on Friday for me, 11 weeks and 1 day today. Focusing on staying calm and trying to rest as much as I can. I've been waking up in the night a lot- has that happened to anyone else?

CloudyIvy55 · 31/10/2025 20:22

Yes, I've been waking up so much! Not sure if it's a pregnancy or anxiety thing!?

Kirsty198511 · 01/11/2025 22:08

@CloudyIvy55 as @HollyGolightly4said your distraction techniques sound great. Good luck to you both for your scans I’m sure they will be absolutely fine.

I’m coming up to 6 weeks now and have my 7 week scan booked on 10th November. I’m waking up really early and not able to go back to sleep 🫣 Also feeling really sick in the evenings. I’m seeing this all as good signs though!!!

Ladyinpink1 · 02/11/2025 07:01

@CloudyIvy55 Stopping your meds really is a big milestone and then with your scan on Tuesday too. I'm sure you are counting the seconds. Is it in the morning or later in the day? x

I had that with previous pregnancies but this time I have just been waking up super early every morning @HollyGolightly4 I'm sure you are tired from it as a broken sleep is tough x

Feeling sick is definitely a good sign @Kirsty198511 I Was quite pleased when mine got really bad, although I felt awful it made me feel some reasurrance x

Aw so lovely. I have my 7 week scan Monday afternoon. It’s been reassuring so far that I’ve felt so sick and boobs really hurt. I didn’t really have this last time x

I had lots of cramps at your stage onwards, I was worried too but then thought, well the cramping is everything growing so must be a good sign because if things weren't growing there would be no cramping 🙂 x

@Kirsty198511I hated the cramps! I also had what felt like a lot of moderate level cramps. Made me panic everytime. It's a normal pregnancy symptom so try not to worry x
