Hi @EmberRCongratulations! I am also older being 40. The risk does of course increase but if you are healthy and eating well then that’s all you can do to lower the risks.

I am 5 w 5 days and have some mild cramps, tiny bit of boob tingling which has increased over a week. Also CM has increased. Fatigue sometimes kicks in too. No nausea yet! x

@tillybud89i think because the positive line is close in colour to the control line there is no point in further testing as it is near saturation? That’s what chat gpt says although I know it’s not always accurate.
its lovely you are feeling positive and you have a scan booked 😊

Ah ok i see. I didnt know that about the cross CB tests.
Hope your ok and can have some distraction until tomorrow xxxx

@Ladyinpink1 thank you for your kind words. I had crazy vivid dreams in my TWW but that’s gone now! I stupidly just peed on the other clear blue early results stick and the line was much lighter…. Just have to wait for 6 weeks to have a scan I think and just take it day by day? X

Sorry the line seemed ligher, but it's probably more diluted because it was night time and i bet if you were to hold or do one with concentrated urine it would be the same line again. Are you feeling ok about it today?

I got 2-3 on a digital last Thursday (4w+1) so I thought, it's a week later and I am 5weeks today so it should be 3+ but it still said 2-3, I felt sick when I seen it, but then I typed into Google when did you get your 3+ on a Clearblue and tonnes of forums came up with ladies saying the same thing not getting theirs until almost 6 weeks and worrying about it but it all being fine so I'm feeling better after reading that. I planned on stopping testing once i seen the 3+, kind of wish i had never used the digitals lol x

tiutinkerbell · 03/09/2025 11:08

I am also waiting to take a ditigal 'weeks' one until well past when it 'should' be three weeks just in case, don't want to send myself spiralling as I know what I am like. I might wait until after early scan next Tuesday lol 😂! I've already got a positive on the early dectection ditigal so going to leave it at that until I have more info.

EmilyMay89 · 03/09/2025 16:05

@tiutinkerbelli am doing the same! Not touching the weeks one until later on!

My mind has just gone straight to all kinds of practical things. Desperate to get all of the baby bits out the loft and sort them. Keeping that urge in though!

brightandbeautiful89 · 03/09/2025 18:15

Guys I feel so sick today. Like I actually might throw up. Is this normal? Respect to anyone who has ever been pregnant before, I feel like death!

EmilyMay89 · 03/09/2025 18:29

@brightandbeautiful89oh no! I had quite bad nausea with my first pregnancy which started about 5.5 weeks. Hopefully it eases or at least doesn’t turn into being sick.

I’ve had a day off today and the idea of going back to work tomorrow isn’t appealing. Enjoyed slobbing on the sofa with a blanket and some rubbish tv!

lochmaree · 03/09/2025 19:02

I'm due 24th April I think! Baby #3. I'm 6+5 today.

Willagorilla · 03/09/2025 20:02

Hi everyone. Pretty sure I got a positive today, Flo puts me at 3 weeks 6 days, period due tomorrow. Started testing yesterday morning and have had a few faint positives on those small early detection tests, a negative on a digital weeks one, and a clear positive on the + clear blue. I'm 38 and have one 7 year old who was my third time lucky after two miscarriages, so I am prettyyyy nervous, especially being older. My partner and I have only been together 5 months but both want a baby so we decided to just see what happens. Last ovulation was the first time we actually did the deed at the right time and I am in absolute shock that it seems to have worked... delighted, but still can't quite believe it! Happy to be here 😊

Anyone due May 2026
EmberR · 03/09/2025 21:24

@brightandbeautiful89 sorry to hear you are feeling sick. How many weeks are you? I was unwell last pregnancy weeks 6-14 and this time around already feeling nauseous I’m only 4 +5. I’ve gone to the GP and got anti sickness meds and taking them already. If it does get worse for you I’d definitely do it. Don’t suffer unnecessarily x

brightandbeautiful89 · 04/09/2025 00:03

@EmilyMay89@EmberRi’ll be five weeks tomorrow. I didn’t know you could get anti sickness meds! Today was the worst day I’ve had, if it continues I think I will have to get something. I’d happily take all the sickness as long as this baby is healthy though. I have a scan at the EPU tomorrow which will likely be pointless but I’m hoping they’ll do my bloods so i can get an idea if things are progressing ok xx

brightandbeautiful89 · 04/09/2025 00:04

@Willagorilla congratulations! How lovely that you conceived so quickly 😊

tillybud89 · 04/09/2025 04:31

Hi ladies hope we're all doing ok. Although sorry about the sickness @brightandbeautiful89
My first night shift at work since finding out im pregnant and im a wreck. I started to lose the last one at work and it's such a physical job im so scared. I've spike to my boss but he's not the best at being empathetic. Luckily my team leader is very supportive but im so on edge. I feel like going on sick until I get more reassurance about the baby xx

LoulouBranflake · 04/09/2025 07:40

Hi all, I’m 5weeks 2 days. But I currently have no symptoms, I was wondering if anyone else is the same? I am worried as I feel I should be feeling something! I am quite tired, more so than usual I suppose.

Wiennetta · 04/09/2025 07:40

Hello everyone! Hope you’re all doing ok.

I’m five weeks tomorrow, so would be due May 2026 all being well. I’m 38 and this is my first pregnancy - wasn’t sure whether it would happen but conceived naturally on the 5th month of trying. Been feeling on and off very anxious since finding out and worrying about things. I’m very healthy and no known issues/had blood tests etc and all looked good but I’m just finding it hard to get excited.

I’ve told one friend as she knew I was TTC and will probably tell another couple. If anything goes wrong I’ll have someone to talk to as well.

So far I’m feeling a bit bloated and have on and off quite sore boobs, a had a couple of minor feelings of nausea.

Going to pay for a private scan at about 7/8 weeks if I get to that point.

CinnamonSwirlLatte · 04/09/2025 08:07

Hey everyone, can I join? I got two positive tests last night (although I still can't quite believe it!) so I'll be taking many more tests 😂 this will be baby number 7 for me, due 16th May x

EmberR · 04/09/2025 08:38

@CinnamonSwirlLatte congratulations and wow baby no 7?! We can all ask you for all the advice!

Anyone else experiencing pregnancy diarrhoea? I feel waves of nausea (already taking xonvea as I suffered with sickness in my last pregnancy and trying very hard to avoid it this time) but I have tummy cramps and diarrhoea 😫

Einszwei · 04/09/2025 09:05

Hi everyone!

Jumping on this thread. Tested positive last week. Complete surprise for us - not the best timing to say the least!

I've had terrible cramping (much worse than my usual period pains) for the past 10 days or so, along with nausea and an upset stomach.

Went for a scan today just to rule out ectopic (currently in SEA so much easier to get checked out) and they confirmed 5+6 weeks pregnant, not ectopic and they detected a heartbeat. Due early May.

They've given anti spasmotic medication to try and help with the cramping.

justawishaway · 04/09/2025 09:06

@LoulouBranflakei am 6 weeks, I have barely any symptoms too. Sometimes a bit nauseous and sometimes my boobs hurt but not consistently. I remember this with my first pregnancy too! Congratulations xxx

Haha! Yesterday was the first time in 17 years as a mum that I've had them all in school and I find out I'm pregnant 😅

I've had awful cramps and diarrhoea- thought I was ill at first!

deathlyhallows21 · 04/09/2025 09:53

Does anyone else not feel pregnant? I had a scan yesterday showed I’m exactly 5 weeks and I’ve been feeling sick and having symptoms but today I just feel different and I’m not sure how or what it is, I just don’t feel pregnant

brightandbeautiful89 · 04/09/2025 10:03

@tillybud89what job do you do? I’m sorry you’re struggling so much. Can any reasonable adjustments be made for you?

@deathlyhallows21what does being pregnant actually feel like? From what I’ve read a lot of people have no symptoms

EmberR · 04/09/2025 10:04

@deathlyhallows21 in my experience symptoms come and go all the time. Day by day, hour by hour you swing between feeling dreadful and then when you feel normal you think “maybe I am not pregnant” that was my experience!

CinnamonSwirlLatte · 04/09/2025 10:28

@tillybud89 sorry to hear you're suffering. I get terrible sickness but this is the first time I've been employed and pregnant (always been a SAHM) so I have no idea how I'll cope. I work in a prison too so hopefully the lads will behave around me!

I am also 5 weeks and feel nothing really! I felt a bit sick before I first tested positive, but now pretty much nada apart from maybe a bit more tired and I have a weird taste in my mouth? Also worried it means bad news but nothing I can do if it is, so trying to take my mind off it and be glad I can still enjoy food I love!
