@tillybud89 How exciting! I agree time is really speeding up now after the first tri seemed like years.

I have started considering what I may want for this my first birth. Currently leaning towards a planned c-section - for more calmness and control (hopefully) after a tough infertility and ivf journey. But tbc. I know I will be asking to avoid induction anyway as hate the thought of yet more interventions to try and get my body to do things. Such a personal choice of course! Trying to tune into my instinct and what I feel is right for me rather than what I feel I should do but that is easier said than done…

Edited

Exactly. I have been induced multiple ways, pessaries and drips, and had the waters broken twice to get the party started..I prefer my body doing it itself however I have crazy long labours as well as a couple week long Latent phase labours as well. All fun games!!! Hoping baby number 7 will be quicker!

Hey everyone, hope everyone is doing well, hard to believe it's almost the halfway mark!

when I was on the group at the start, a whatsapp group was talked about, was that ever made? If so, could I be added to it please? Thank you x

I would love a WhatsApp group/Facebook group. We had one made from a thread on here during my first pregnancy!

Also looking to see if anyone on here is living in Dubai? Desperate to meet some mummas! Currently 19 weeks and baby boy is so active! Hope everyone is well!

I can’t believe I’m about halfway.
Not 100% on dates as I’m having a wild pregnancy- but thinking “mid May” to welcome baby.

This will be our fourth baby and third homebirth and I can’t wait - I can’t imagine giving birth in a hospital now.

I’m trying to fill in my pregnancy journal as much as possible as this will be our last baby ❤️ and I’m trying to savour every moment.

Funny that my craving is the same as my last pregnancy, Fentimans Dandelion and Burdock, with lots of crushed ice!

CityKity · 20/12/2025 21:44

Congrats on the halfway mark ladies! I’m towards the end of May, so my 20 week scan will be in the new year. Luckily December seems to have flown by so it doesn’t seem too long to wait.
From the 12 week scan my placenta is anterior so no clear movements yet but flutters (I think). I have to say I’ve had some real anxiety this week about how the baby is doing, which I’m certain is fuelled by lack of movements (rationally which I know is fine) and Instagram posts of second trimester miscarriages which came out of the blue (eg Abby Elizabeth Howard’s). I never felt this way with my first and luckily the run up to Christmas has taken my mind off it, but really keen to get the 20 week scan done now.

We’re not finding out the gender but I’m deep in nub theory posts trying to guess what baby could be 😅. Anyone else waiting for a surprise?

Hi! I'm 20 weeks todays cant believe I'm halfway through and I'm also having my anomaly scan on Monday, what a long time since i have seen baby at 12 weeks scan. Also i can't wait to find out their gender.
I haven't felt nauseous in a long time but i still have food aversions.
I started feeling flutters around 15 weeks but now they are definite kicks and movements.

Im actually quite interested how they did the scan with a front lying placenta.

How has it been for you? Uncomfortable or ok? Is your bump out more because of it?

I dont think i can wait. I just have to know the gender!!!!!!
At every anomaly scan, I've found out. Tomorrow's the day and we are having a gender reveal (mumsnet gasp and pearl clutch) with just the children, they're so excited.
Already have decided on a boys name. My hubby likes my girls names suggestions but he doesn't Love them. So we will see tomorrow. Wooohoooo

CityKity · 21/12/2025 15:12

@Judgejudysno1fan I’ve got a front lying placenta this time and didnt last time and I haven’t noticed much difference tbh. My bump is still v small, and the last scan felt the same, but it will be interesting to see if the 20 week scan is any different. Main difference is less clear movements I think.

Have a lovely time with the gender reveal! Lovely you’ve got a shortlist of names, I’m totally stumped for inspiration this time around!

Ladyinpink1 · 21/12/2025 18:57

I'm 21 weeks tomorrow, I had my 20 week scan this week, placenta at the front and a little low, and I wondered the same as you, would it make the scan blurry, but it was such a good and clear scan (Here's her little arm and hand pic from it that I thought was super cute) @Judgejudysno1fan I'm sure you cant wait for tomorrow. Will you find out if it's a boy or girl? x

Unfortunately like you @tillybud89 my movements are very light, which i'm sad about and adds to any anxiety, but I know they will increase as baby gets bigger. Sorry about the murmur, is this a new thing with pregnancy? x

It is worrying especially when my previous pregnancys were not anterior so it's a lot different. The heart murmur, I was told after my last birth that I had it but not to worry about it so tbh I forgot all about it! I get breathless a lot but have b12 jabs every 3 months so I just put it down to that being due. This time round I felt breathless really early on then remembered about the heart murmur. Bought it up to consultant last week because of having the section so now just got to see the doctor and possibly have some further tests. Im sure it will be ok.
Yes my picture was clear as well its so amazing.

Hi everyone, I’m 20+3 and my sickness is starting to ease. I’m feeling quite lonely and wondered if anyone has a group or anything to just chat to other pregnant women I guess.
had our 20 week scan on Friday and baby has an Echogenic bowel but no other issues so they think it’s due to swallowing my blood during my bleeds (I’ve had a few). Anyway, we are seeing fetal med on 2nd Jan. other than that he’s doing great! The pic we got is scary 🤣

Ladyinpink1 · 24/12/2025 20:08

@tillybud89 aww lovely picture of baby's side profile, it is so amazing! That's good that they will keep an eye on it. Funny how pregnancy can effect things. My last 2 pregnancys were losses so the movements being less are very unhelpful lol.
If your iron is low it can cause a feeling of breathlessness too, especially when lying down. I had this but it improved lots when I took iron, of course yours may be nothing to do with it, but just thought I would say incase it could help x

@PumpkinSpicedLatte Aww how cute, hello baby boy! Congratulations on your little boy, another great picture 🥰. What baby number is this for you? Sorry about the bleeding, i'm sure that has been stressful.
Ifeel the same at times. I don't know anyone in my real life who is pregnant at this time, and sometimes a good thread to chat and check if everyone is feeling the same can be good. x

PumpkinSpicedLatte · 24/12/2025 21:39

@Ladyinpink1 happy to chat if you feel up to it at all. Sorry to read about your previous losses, that must be anxiety inducing . This is my second pregnancy but 3rd child (for a son via new relationship, he’s 3 weeks older than my daughter so it’s like having twins and everyone thinks they are. So I’ve done pregnancy before which I guess helps anxiety but it’s hard not to compare this one to last (5 years ago now) xx

Judgejudysno1fan · 25/12/2025 13:51

I had my scan and everything went very well.

We also found out its a girl 👧
Very happy. Thats means we will have 4 girls. And 3 boys yayyyy.

Ladyinpink1 · 25/12/2025 21:16

@PumpkinSpicedLatte oh lovely, they will all be good friends i'm sure. Are your older 2 excited?
I sometimes think it will be easier once I pass 24 weeks as it's another milestone for viability.
I have started feeling a bit more movement which is nice, and my dh could feel it too, seemed to be to the side, so hopefully you will be the same in the next few days 🙂 x

Congratulations on your baby girl. @Judgejudysno1fan i'm having a girl too (first one) x

DMuir · 21/01/2026 13:04

I'm booked on on Thursday for my c section - will be 39 weeks. Can't wait to meet baby boy now!

Tinytots26 · 19/04/2026 06:41

I can't wait to meet my May baby! Third pregnancy and suffering bad with PGP and lower back pain to the extent I am basically couch/bed bound 😫 I just want her to arrive safely and be mobile and functional again! I miss doing things out and about with my older two!

CityKity · 19/04/2026 13:53

Nice to see this thread pop up again. I can’t believe the May babies will be coming thick and fast soon.
I’m 35 weeks and I’m struggling juggling a very active toddler and being very pregnant. I can’t believe I have at least 5 more weeks to go, I feel ready to pop. Baby feels so low and I swear I’ve got a waddle which I didn’t have the first time around. I’ve got a busy few weeks so feel like they’ll be no time to slow down till around 37/38 weeks. I’ve got most of the baby stuff down from the attic, but zero prep otherwise - definitely different the second time around 😂
