Hi, tentatively joining this thread after a positive test this morning. EDD would be 10th May 2026.

Been trying for over a year, so feeling cautious but definitely had strong lines on the easy@home cheap test…

Hi all. Joining very cautiously after a loss in May (first pregnancy). Due around 10th May based on LMP and tests have been progressing well, but they also progressed well with the miscarriage so that doesn’t reassure me massively. Any advice on how to try and enjoy this pregnancy. I know it’s inevitable that it will be full of anxiety at least we are until out of the first trimester, but it feels like time is dragging and it’s still so early.

Welcome!! I don't have any advice regarding miscarriages as i had a different kind of miscarriage( VTS), but i hope this is a sticky bean for you. I'm also due May 10th according to Flo.

I’m pregnant but recent scan showed yolk sac nothing else so I’m worried and about 5.5 weeks

EmberR · 05/09/2025 11:07

Hi guys hope everyone is doing well and congratulations for those getting their positive tests.

I am worried, I got my clear blue positive on Monday saying 1-2 weeks and by my calculations I should be 5 weeks tomorrow. But I just took another test and it still only says 1-2 weeks? I am definitely over 4.5-5 weeks as my last period was 2nd August.

I assume it means the HCG levels aren’t doubling as they should be? I still have symptoms and no bleeding / cramps? The date indicators are pretty accurate I thought…. Has anyone else had this?

brightandbeautiful89 · 05/09/2025 11:47

@Anxious24i don’t think you should expect to see any more than a yolk sac at that stage? What did the somographer say?

@EmberRhcg levels can vary so much - these clearblue tests have been causing me lots of stress too. If you look on forums there are lots of people who have had problems with these dating clearblue tests, also the packet says they are only 93 per cent accurate. There is a helpline on the side of the box that you can call (they weren’t that helpful when I called them) or maybe speak to your EPU and see if they can get you in for bloods/a scan?

Anxious24 · 05/09/2025 12:58

They just said they’ll do a scan in 2 weeks and if the same then have medical management for miscarriage

brightandbeautiful89 · 05/09/2025 13:01

@Anxious24what else were they expecting to see at that stage? From my understanding it appears from 5w5d to 6w5d. Where did you have the scan?

Anxious24 · 05/09/2025 13:11

I should have been 6 weeks from dates

brightandbeautiful89 · 05/09/2025 13:27

@Anxious24so still 5 days for it to be seen. Was the scan at an EPU?

Anxious24 · 05/09/2025 13:33

Yes it was they just said no viability confirmed

brightandbeautiful89 · 05/09/2025 13:38

@Anxious24maybe call them to discuss it more. From my understanding it’s not unusual to not see more at this stage

Anxious24 · 05/09/2025 13:39

I did they were not reassuring just to be prepared for bad news in 2 weeks and can discuss then. Asked for hormone blood test but declined.

brightandbeautiful89 · 05/09/2025 13:50

@Anxious24are you 5.5 weeks but measuring 6 or 6 weeks and measuring 5.5? I would still call and ask when they would expect to see more. I’m sorry they are being so unhelpful

Anxious24 · 05/09/2025 13:55

Yeah they said in 2 weeks they should see more

Hi everyone. Haven't posted in a while. I'm 6 weeks tomorrow, getting waves of nausea now but nothing awful (I was on deaths door with my missed miscarriage) clearblues rising as they should. Debating an early reassurance scan. Reckon 6 weeks is early enough or should I hold out for 7?!

Screenburn · 06/09/2025 14:17

Hello everyone! Moving over here from the April thread as I hadn’t quite got my dates right - had an early reassurance scan today at what I thought was 6w5d, but actually 6w exactly.

Everything is as it should be, and we heard and saw a good strong heartbeat! Due 2 May.

brightandbeautiful89 · 06/09/2025 14:32

@Screenburna heartbeat at 6w is amazing, congratulations!

brightandbeautiful89 · 06/09/2025 14:34

@Screenburnwas your scan abdominal or transvaginal?

Screenburn · 06/09/2025 15:33

@brightandbeautiful89 thank you! I was pretty gobsmacked myself, think I didn’t really believe it until today.

They did the abdominal first which was enough by itself to see the heartbeat (I was amazed by this as I thought you could only see the heartbeat abdominally from about 8w), but then did transvaginal to get the measurements more accurately.

brightandbeautiful89 · 06/09/2025 15:40

@Screenburnthat’s incredible! I only saw a yolk sac and gestation sac on an abdominal at 5w5d so am a bit worried now!
