Wondering if anyone has got a positive recently and would be due late April / Early May 2026? ✨

@Ladyinpink1we are nearly twins - I am 4w3d. I’m really anxious, tied myself up in knots over clearblue tests only to realise today they are dye stealers so not accurate. I can’t concentrate at work or on anything else, I really feel like I’m losing my mind x

Ladyinpink1 · 01/09/2025 22:06

@tillybud89 When is your scan?
I am the same, I have a 7 week scan booked at the epu, then they said they will do another at 9 and 11. I will be happy after the 7 if all is ok but a little more relaxed after the 9 week one if there is a heartbeat. It all feels so far away doesn't it, do you find time is going sooo slow atm? x

@brightandbeautiful89 Hello twin :)
It's hard not to think about 24/7, I will admit that I have my cheap tests out in my room and check them several times a day. Ooh a dye stealer, that is reasurring.
I have been using cheap tests. I did take the digital date ones that say 1-2 etc and i found them reasurring but they are so expensive x

brightandbeautiful89 · 01/09/2025 22:37

@Ladyinpink1i have spent a fortune on tests! I’m going to do one more one that tells me how far gone I am and then stop. It seems to good to be true that I am pregnant, let alone that I could have a successful pregnancy so I think my brain is scanning for the negatives as some kind of maladaptive self protection thing. I’ve never been pregnant before and had no idea that so much could go wrong. I need to stay off forums/reading about miscarriages/looking up miscarriage statistics etc

EmberR · 01/09/2025 23:02

Hi. I’m cautiously joining the chat as I tested positive today. Think I am 4 weeks 2 days.

I am 43 years old though and just buried myself in the depressing stats of miscarriages. We have been trying for 1+ year with nothing so it’s a surprise to even see a positive.

I was about to sign a lease on a new house to move this week and now I have no idea what to do? Don’t want to pull out of the move but shouldn’t be moving if I am pregnant as being where I am is better option. Argh

tillybud89 · 02/09/2025 07:25

@Ladyinpink1not sure. I have self referred to the hospital maternity. I sent a request in to my GP yesterday for a referral for scan. They want me in for some reason so im waiting on an appointment hopefully today or tomorrow as im then on a run of 3 nights after that so will struggle to go in day. X

tiutinkerbell · 02/09/2025 07:56

I am also in camp not telling anyone for a little while. I've started to get cramps today and I am worried something could be wrong, so we are going to wait until our 7 week scan next week before we tell close family. Fingers crossed everyone is feeling OK. Big love to you @7nationbaby- hope you are doing OK 💚

brightandbeautiful89 · 02/09/2025 08:35

@EmberRcongrats on your positive! I am just ahead of you at 4 weeks at 5 days. I would caution against looking at marriage stats etc - I have done the same and it has caused nothing but anxiety. Google is not always your friend in this case. What I did learn is that the majority of chemical pregnancies don’t even make it this far so it’s positive we’ve even got to this stage.

@tillybud89do you get your scan through your GP? I wonder why they want you in, that is good though. I told them I was pregnant and they couldn’t have cared less!

tillybud89 · 02/09/2025 14:17

@brightandbeautiful89so GP was hopeless. Wasn't my usual one. Did a telephone call which was good. I take sertraline so I wanted to check that I was definitely ok to continue doing so. Going to drop to lowest dose. GP said oh we dont refer for scans, erm well you have for my previous 3 pregnancies! Anyway got in touch with antenatal who were lovely and given my MC and other pregnancy history they have booked me on Wednesday 17th September for early scan ill be 6+2 which is roughly what I was when had first scan last time but they didnt think dates were right as baby was measuring small, ahould if known then that something wasn't right I just thought ih maybe ill have a small one this time (my girls were 8.7 and 9.1)

How are you feeling? Xxx

brightandbeautiful89 · 02/09/2025 15:37

@tillybud89GPs are useless! Great you’ve got that early scan 😊 I’m not doing too well today, did a clearblue plus test as opposed to first response and the line is lighter. I think it is less sensitive and needs more hcg (25mlu/ml vs 10mlu/ml) but it has worried. Asked two different pharmacists and even called clearblue themselves and all were useless

brightandbeautiful89 · 02/09/2025 15:38

@tillybud89this is my test today

Anyone due May 2026
Ladyinpink1 · 02/09/2025 16:51

@brightandbeautiful89 The Internet is definitely not helpful for some things. I think statistics can be misleading too. It's hard not to research but I definitely feel worse when I do. Do you mind me asking what age you are?
Your test today looks brilliant. x

Hi @EmberR congratulations on your positive test. Do you think you will stay where you are now then? x

Hopefully when you see them, it won't be very long to wait for your scan @tillybud89
Just seen your update... your scan is the same day I booked mine for! 🙂 x

@tiutinkerbell As long as they are not very sore, then the cramps are a good sign, I have had them in all of my pregnancys (I imagine it's everything nestling in nice and securely, although there is prob a scientific reason lol) x

tillybud89 · 02/09/2025 17:31

@brightandbeautiful89i wouldn't worry the test looks like mine from yesterday (well since I have them im using them haha) how far are you? I technically only missed my period yeaterday so mine still aren't expected to be really dark.

@Ladyinpink1ah yay. Im excited but so nervous as well x

EmberR · 02/09/2025 19:44

@Ladyinpink1 honestly I don’t know what to do. I am really old and I know I shouldn’t obsess about the stats but I know that 45% in my age bracket end in a loss. So I don’t want to hold off on a big life decision for a chance?

Stupid question to you all. I am already feeling a bit sicky /nauseous on and off but no other symptoms. No boob pain or bloating etc. how’s everyone else?

Pixiegirl23 · 02/09/2025 19:57

Hi all!
I’m 5 weeks exactly today, 30 y/o, I got my BFP for the first time on our first cycle trying!
I am fully aware of how extremely lucky we are to have fallen this quickly.
Feeling so anxious but so grateful, I have an early reassurance scan next Weds which can’t come quick enough!
Due date is 5th May!

brightandbeautiful89 · 02/09/2025 20:53

@Ladyinpink1the statistics can definitely be misleading and don’t take into account individual circumstances like health, whether or not you smoke etc etc. some may be helpful though eg you are nearly at 5 weeks and by that point you will be out of the woods for a chemical pregnancy. I have been addicted to looking for stories of success but also failure as a way to try to prepare myself if that happens but obviously it doesn’t work like that and just makes me feel more anxious and upset. I am 35 but thought I’d never get pregnant due to my health history. It feels like a miracle but also so fragile.

@EmberR. In relation to symptoms I feel very nauseous at times but eating seems to settle it. A little constipated but nothing else.

@tillybud89im 4 weeks 5 days so my line should be darker than yours if you were only due on your period yesterday - so you are 4 weeks 1 day? The colour of the line seems similar to that of the control on mine - not sure that means anything?

tillybud89 · 02/09/2025 21:30

@brightandbeautiful89do another tomorrow and see what it's like. Failing that you can be referred for early scan if your worried or pay for one. Yes im 4+1 found out at 9dpo and 100% confirmed at 11dpo. My scan is booked for 17th so I'll be 6+2. Hope your ok its hard not to obsess over it and worry constantly. Im so trying not to as im pretty sure this (being successful) will be my last pregnancy and I want to soak up all of it xx

@EmberRiI feel for you with the decision your having to make. Would if not work out if you moved and still had a successful pregnancy? Symptom wise, boobs are sore/tingly. Loose bowls then no bowl movement! Back pain is a big one but I suffer with my back anyway and on/off cramps xxx

brightandbeautiful89 · 02/09/2025 21:36

@tillybud89i don’t know if continuing to test is helpful really. It’s causing me a lot of distress to not see it getting darker. Apparently the cross style ones take more hcg to get dark so I shouldnt worry that it’s not as dark as the single line tests I did. . Some people have said mine today is a dye stealer although I’m not sure. Is there value in continuing to test? The clearblue Tests don’t necessarily reflect rising hcg? I have a scan on Thursday and I’m terrified tbh

brightandbeautiful89 · 02/09/2025 21:51

@tillybud89i think because the positive line is close in colour to the control line there is no point in further testing as it is near saturation? That’s what chat gpt says although I know it’s not always accurate.
its lovely you are feeling positive and you have a scan booked 😊

I would love to join a WhatsApp group if you made one but I can’t seem to message you either x

Replied to your message x

deathlyhallows21 · 02/09/2025 21:55

I’d like to join a WhatsApp group but i don’t know how to message people on here x

magpie234 · 02/09/2025 21:56

@Pixiegirl23 I have my first scan next Wednesday too so will be thinking of you then as well :). I will be 6+5 then all being well. Mine is an ivf pregnancy so I can date it accurately. Bricking it tbh as it has taken 2.5 years to get to this point and feels both miraculous and terrifying perilous to be the furthest we have ever been but still not out of the woods.

EmberR · 02/09/2025 22:06

@tillybud89 if i do have a baby then I’d be much better staying where I am for family support… but right now it feels like a long shot.

I have started to feel very nauseous today (only 4 weeks 4 days) that’s early right…. Does that mean it will get worse/last longer. Or just be earlier and go away faster? My first pregnancy I had sickness week 6-15 and hoping that i don’t have the same… I have emetophobia so don’t cope well. Any advice and experiences much appreciated xx

Ladyinpink1 · 02/09/2025 22:13

@EmberR I'm sorry you are feeling that way, it's really horrible isn't it. I have read on here lots of women falling pregnant at similar age. I am hopeful for you.
I have had sore breasts and light cramping, also some crazy dreams, but i am on progestrone pessaries so not sure if the dreams and sore breasts are from that x

@brightandbeautiful89 I didn't know that about the chance of chemical pregnancy being less at 5 weeks... that is reasurring. It's so hard not to read up on things, especially when this time is just constant waiting. If it helps, my tests seemed to take ages to darken.
It all feels very delicate when it's been a struggle to concieve doesn't it. Hopefully you feel better after your scan. x

EmberR · 02/09/2025 22:15

@Ladyinpink1 thank you for your kind words. I had crazy vivid dreams in my TWW but that’s gone now! I stupidly just peed on the other clear blue early results stick and the line was much lighter…. Just have to wait for 6 weeks to have a scan I think and just take it day by day? X
