Wondering if anyone has got a positive recently and would be due late April / Early May 2026? ✨

@sellotape12 I know how you feel. It’s awful! I’m being violently sick 5-6 times a day, and feeling nauseous the rest of the time. I’m ready for bed at 8:30, and can’t keep any food down really.

These babies will be worth it!

tillybud89 · 05/10/2025 21:44

Hi ladies. So had a scare tonight. Been feeling a bit off all day but put it down to tiredness as been on my run of night shifts. Went to the loo this evening and as per every loo visit checked the tissue and tonight rhere was a big streak of crimson red. I checked again and nothing but brown stringy discharge *sorry tmi!
Went to A+E on the recommendation of maternity triage and had bloods and a smear type test. No more blood but have got cramps. They cant scan me until Wednesday morning. Feels like the MC in May all over again! Just praying no more bleeding xxx

magpie234 · 05/10/2025 22:40

@tillybud89 Ohhhhh how scary for you. How far along are you? So hope all is OK and there is no more bleeding. No scan till Wednesday is grim. Shall be thinking of you.

Floomobal · 06/10/2025 00:41

@tillybud89 very scary. I hope everything is ok for you. Wednesday will feel like a very long wait, I’m sure.

I feel as though people don’t talk enough about how many women bleed in early pregnancy. I’ve had that same discharge as you for 4 weeks now, and it’s very stressful. Will be thinking of you..

Hi everyone. Here cautiously after a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks in March that needed three surgeries to sort out.

Anyway I am pregnant again. Very early days but looks like I'm due in May 2026 all being well.

I've also got a 7 year old and a 4 year old :).

@88claire this is crazy I had a miscarriage in March and have a 7 and 4 year old! I didn't need 3 surgeries though, that must have been traumatising as the 1 d&c I had was a horrific experience alone. I too am here cautiously. Hoping and praying we get our babies this time xx

@tillybud89it’s terrible that they can’t scan you til Wednesday! It doesn’t sound like much bleeding though and I have heard of lots of women who have had a little. Maybe get a private scan if you can’t wait til weds? Thinking of you

magpie234 · 06/10/2025 10:58

@sellotape12 Thinking of you today. Hope all is OK to give you some motivation in the trenches!

sellotape12 · 06/10/2025 19:53

Had my scan a day and there is indeed very active baby in there!!! (11 weeks). We reluctantly coughed up for private because my NHS scan isn’t for another two weeks and I was just in such a tizz. It was an amazing experience, the sonographer was SO reassuring and she did an anatomy check too.
@tillybud89 I hope you’re ok. The lady told me today might bleeding is very common and can occur throughout pregnancy for some women. She said for some it’s their normal. Can you get an earlier scan?

magpie234 · 06/10/2025 22:05

@sellotape12 Great news! Enjoy some sweet relief and hopefully a peaceful sleep 😊

CloudyIvy55 · 07/10/2025 14:36

Bit of a random question but, I'm due with my first baby on 17th May.

A few months ago, a good friend invited me to his abroad wedding in August 2026 - invitation accepted.

He and some other friends also invited are now pushing to book flights, hotels etc- they don't know I'm pregnant.

Having not had a baby before I've got no idea weather going away for 2 nights, 3 months after having my first baby is even possible!? My partner will be home and not going to the wedding and we've got really helpful and supportive families but I'm very happy to hear that I'm being stupid for even considering it 😂

magpie234 · 07/10/2025 14:50

@CloudyIvy55 First preg here too and personally I would be turning this one down on account if it being abroad and me not being able to bring my baby. Presumably they have made it clear that no children are allowed including babes in arms? Because sometimes couples make exceptions for the latter. But even then I would not want to go without my partner to support me! Regrettably we will have to turn down a wedding too… it is on our due date 😂

I've also booked a private scan for Wednesday for some reassurance as NHS didn't deem symptoms as concerning but I'd still like to know if everything is a-okay in there.

tillybud89 · 08/10/2025 12:15

Good news! Baby is doing really well. Bleed isn't coming from womb so been tested for an infection which is highly likely. Been signed off work this week (only as my job really physical and there's a lot of pressure pain with the bleed) hopefully will know more in a few days when results come in. Also midwife surprised how high my hormone levels were - team girl? Lol xxx

magpie234 · 08/10/2025 13:06

@tillybud89 Great news! Hope the infection or whatever it is clears up soon then. Do you plan on finding out the sex?

General q for everyone… has anyone else been getting on-off pain on one side especially when they stand up or change positions? It feels sort of muscular around my womb area so is stressing me out a bit! Hoping it is just things moving around down there to give the baby more space to grow but 🤷‍♀️. Is not a feeling I have experienced outside of pregnancy.

Me to. Yes booked a gender scan mid November. Last one for us so as we've never had to buy anything team blue I want to be organised (my loft is all pink and frills haha)
Is the feelihg like under your bump area? If so then it's all the ligaments etc stretching out. Last week I stood up and was doubled over as had such a sharp pull from under my tummy but all normal. How many weeks now? Im sure like 9-12 weeks everything starts to feel stretched and tight as ypur bump starts to form and expand x

magpie234 · 08/10/2025 15:06

@tillybud89 Thanks that is reassuring as that is exactly how it feels… like a sharp pull. I am nearly 11 weeks so that fits with the timing too. Not got a bump yet (maybe the early beginnings of one) but fingers crossed all is well.

Oh fun well update us when you find out! The loft of pink and frills sounds amazing 😅

Floomobal · 08/10/2025 15:32

Ah @tillybud89 so glad everything is ok with baby!

@tillybud89what a relief! Very pleased for you 😊

magpie234 · 11/10/2025 19:36

How is everyone holding up? I have felt a bit better for the last couple of days (am 11 weeks) but today has hit me like a truck and am feeling terrible again. Beyond fed up now!

Floomobal · 12/10/2025 01:29

I’m feeling awful, and totally worn down by it all now. I’m really struggling. I’m being violently sick at least 10 times a day, and losing weight. I’ve got a constant headache from being dehydrated and hungry, but I just can’t keep anything down. And this is whilst being on anti sickness and anti nausea medication, highest dose.

I actually am really really struggling to cope with it all.

Last time this ended at 20 weeks, and I just can’t imagine managing for another 7 weeks like this.

i wanted SO much to get pregnant when we were trying, and feel so miserable at the moment, which I feel bad about.

Einszwei · 12/10/2025 09:03

@floomobal sorry to hear you are feeling so shit! Are the meds helping reduce the nausea at all? Have you tried other anti nausea meds?

Make sure to keep checking in with medical professionals if you are getting so dehydrated. Hope you start to feel better sooner rather than later.

Floomobal · 12/10/2025 13:20

@Einszwei thank you. The vomiting is much worse without the medication (can’t even have a sip of water!) but I think I need something on top of these meds too. Will call the GP on Monday and see what they suggest.

Hello,

That sounds awful. It’s so hard when you want to feel grateful but feel so unwell that it’s hard to even get through the day. Definitely keep an eye on the dehydration and if you can’t keep fluids down and speak to your doctor. I ended up contacting 111 due to sickness and not being able to keep liquids down. I ended up in A&E a couple of days ago on IV fluids. It was a pain and a bit of a nightmare having to go, but I feel much better for for it and I can finally eat a little bit today. Just something to keep an eye on!
