I’ve got my 12 week scan on Sunday and starting to get nervous. Anyone else got theirs coming up?

Ahh I’ve got mine tomorrow. So nervous 🙈

FlossiePot91 · 28/08/2025 10:31

So sorry to hear this@PlanBFertility

Oh snap on the due date!! Congrats on the good news, hope things continue to progress well!

Pennyroses · 28/08/2025 10:51

Got my 12 week scan on Monday, I'll be 12+5. I've already had a few reassurance scans but I'm still very nervous 😬

PickleThePenguin · 28/08/2025 13:02

My 12 week scan is still ages away! 18th Sept, when I'll be 12+6, wish it was closer to 12, its just going to prolong my anxiousness!

BigMoo85 · 28/08/2025 13:05

By my dates I will be 12+3 when I have my scan on Monday

Mushroo · 28/08/2025 13:40

Mine is 8 September, cannot wait!

I asked Chat GPT to say if it thought I was having a boy or a girl based on my scan pictures yesterday, and it thinks GIRL!

I’ll see if it is right when I get my NIPT results…!

bookworm24 · 28/08/2025 14:37

I have been away to Germany visiting family which was lovely especially spending time with my niece and nephew.

I am sorry for your news @PlanBFertilitytake care of yourself.

I had my scan today and am measuring ahead and am already 13 weeks with an edd of 05/03.

Now to wait for my combined screening results which take 10 days as they send them off. I wanted to tell my kids within the next few days as I thought they come back quicker but now not sure whether I wait until the results come back.

I did this too, with 2 different scan pictures and it said girl on both and then I did it a week later and it said boy on both the same pictures 😅 xx

😂😂 yeh I absolutely do not trust it!

Casper94 · 28/08/2025 16:08

My symptoms have all disappeared in the last 48 hours and I'm a lot less bloated, trying to rationalise everything is fine....scan next Friday when I'll be 12+3 so trying to stay distracted until then!

Bumblebee1984 · 28/08/2025 19:16

So sorry to hear this @PlanBFertility

i had my scan on Monday and due date moved to 28th Feb so now 13+5. Got my test results back today after a call from the hospital with a higher risk of Down Syndrome at 1 in 69. My head spiralled a bit but I went in for a NIPT test this afternoon. Annoyingly have to wait 7-10 days for those results. Just trying to keep my head and just wait and see what they say. My little boy has been unwell this week so haven’t really ended up telling people or work as I’ve been off. I also hadn’t told my daughter as she only came back from her dad’s today. Now I’m really glad and we plan to keep it under wraps a bit longer until we know the results

TheFutureIs · 28/08/2025 19:45

1 in 69 equates to a percentage of 1.449%, so while it sounds scary it’s still a very small chance.
Hope the NIPT results come back quickly and with a good result

peanutForever · 28/08/2025 19:51

@Bumblebee1984hope youre okay? Im really really nervous about having my NT scan tomorrow for this exact reason!! I dont know why im on edge as if im gna get a high worrying result :(

Did they say anything like the nuchal fold was a thick measurement?..with DS i was told immediately that its thin and i was young (28) so was told nothing to worry about but sometimes i do wonder if your stats have gone up purely because of age? Assuming you are 41 from UN? Its just crazy that the risks get higher the older you are but also more children are born with DS to women under 40 so really hoping and praying that its just a numbers game giving you that percentage. Please keep us updated

I’m feeling better than earlier thanks. Have done some reading up on it and the doctor at the hospital was lovely and explained everything well. NT was 3 and under 3.5 is considered normal. I know it’s higher end if it though. The main factor is my age as I’m 40 and will be 41 at birth

Mads96 · 29/08/2025 10:41

hope everyone is doing well 💗 been struggling with sickness and tiredness over here. Eagerly awaiting my 12 week scan which isn’t until the 19th September

MummyV2021 · 29/08/2025 19:13

Hey lovely ladies! Really sorry to hear of some of you getting sad news the last week. Sending lots of love. I’ve not been on here much due to work being crazy and waiting for my scan yesterday. I often don’t even get time to post in the Facebook group but do find that easier to keep on top of! If anyone else wants to join, here’s a fresh link…

Had my scan yesterday and measured a day ahead at 12+3. Baby was in an awkward position at first so they couldn’t get the measurements so sent us for a walk to move it. I was just relieved to see a baby to be honest after all the losses!! Also bonus that we got 2 scans basically and she spent so much time showing us all their features and limbs and watching them wriggle around and wave about was just amazing! With my little boy, our dating scan wasn’t the best because he was squashed by my bladder so was in a good fixed position for measurements but we didn’t get to see him move at all 🙈🤣 but yes, super relieved and super happy!!! Also had the pleasure of emailing Tommy’s to cancel our first appointment with them for next week! We stay on the list for 12 months just in case but was the best reason to cancel such an appointment!

Hope everyone is doing ok who are still waiting for their scans!

@MummyV2021 aww lovely! I've got mine on Monday, I'll be 12 +5. Soooo nervous!! Nice to see someone the same age as me too - I'm a March 86 baby aswell 🙂

Orangelover · 30/08/2025 08:59

Hi all. I was feeling a lot more rough over the last couple of weeks, mild nausea and SO tired but feeling much better now at 10+4 but that as a result is making me more nervous Blush 12 week scan on the 12th Sept which is going to be a long 13 days but we’re away from Friday for a few days with DHs family so hoping that takes my mind off it.

I’m soon learning on this pregnancy journey that this is my life now, there’ll always be something to worry about whether that be pregnancy or beyond when I hit actually being a parent Grin

If it makes u feel any better - my nausea really reduced at 10wks
I freaked out
But its common
As placenta does more

ThisZippyViewer · 30/08/2025 12:19

@Orangelover I am in the exact same boat!! Week 10-11

Google tells me it’s the right time for the placenta to be taking over and should be expected in healthy pregnancies so trying my best to keep that in my mind whilst time goes in slow motion until the dating scan 😮‍💨

worldwidetravel2017 · 30/08/2025 15:11

Had a private scan today

Measuring on time - 12 weeks..

Baby = very mobile
They showed us they can dance upside down..
Theyve grown a nose :)

Mummysparrow · 30/08/2025 17:22

Anyone got a food they really can't eat at the moment? I can't eat rice as it gives me incredibly painful bloating for a day or two afterwards 🫠😭
