Finally heard from my midwife and booking in appointment is ages away. Having it when I'm 11 + 4. I queried it being so late but she said not to worry about it and the blood tests would be fine!!

Same here :)
We just have to self refer to the hospital here; no booking in appointment - so I dont have an appointment until I think I'll be 12+2 which is my scan appointment.

Right now I just feel like its not real at all
I've taken so many tests just in case😂

yayimallama · 21/08/2025 16:45

Booking appointment done today and 12 week scan next week. Still suffering badly with nausea and vomiting though 🤢 hopefully I will start to see an improvement when I get in to the second trimester, last pregnancy it lasted until my son was born, it did improve a wee bit after maybe 14/16 weeks, so I won't hold my breath

Orangelover · 21/08/2025 17:35

Had my booking in appt today at 9+4 so just waiting for my 12 week scan date now. I’ll feel much calmer when that’s done. Midwife was so sweet and a mega pro at bloods Grin

Hello everyone!
So lovely to find this thread and congrats to all. I am catching up on the messages.
I am 8 + 1 and having my booking appointment tomorrow.
This is my first and I just wondered whether anyone who has existing anxiety/depression has felt incredibly low mood and energy wise from 6 weeks - and whether it truly gets better?
Generally feeling nauseous most of the day (trying to eat little and often) but gratefully not actually sick. But I am finding it so hard to get out of bed. I’m on SSRI’s and will be discussing with midwife tomorrow.
We had a scare a couple of week’s ago after I had had a swim, so I have since stopped exercising. Turned out everything was fine - but need to baby step myself back into it!
To all those feeling a bit rubbish at the moment, sending love!

CountingDownToAutumn · 21/08/2025 19:58

PickleThePenguin glad you heard from the midwife and have an appointment booked! I wish I could say the same but I still have the stress of jumping hopefully every time the phone rings!

I have a feeling my midwife might be on some sort of holiday/leave. I took my three year old for her jabs today and midwife clinic is the same time. There’s only one midwife for the surgery and she comes out to call the patients. Anyway the midwife who was working today is not the one assigned to the surgery. I remember her because she was my midwife for my last two pregnancies. God knows how long I’ll be waiting but on Monday I’ll be ten weeks and I’ll start chasing up if nothing by then.

PickleThePenguin · 21/08/2025 21:32

@CountingDownToAutumn I hope you hear very soon! August is probably just a very busy time so hopefully it's just holiday related!

worldwidetravel2017 · 22/08/2025 07:46

Had an nhs scan yesterday

Baby was very mobile / Wrigley
So hard for them to measure

12 week scan in 2 weeks time

Fallulah · 22/08/2025 09:23

Follow up scan today; I feel sick. I keep asking chatGTP what the odds are of there actually being an embryo there today, but it won’t engage with my gambling requests! 🙄

TheFutureIs · 22/08/2025 09:39

Got everything crossed for you

Mushroo · 22/08/2025 09:42

@Fallulah good luck today

Casper94 · 22/08/2025 09:54

@Fallulah everything crossed for you ❤️

@NextStrawberry speak to your midwife, with my first I did an assessment with the perinatal mental health team just to be on the safe side. This time I know I need to stay on medication to be well, but a lower dose due to what I'm on and possible withdrawal symptoms for baby, and then when I give birth I whack it straight back up. Just keep communicating with them and they'll make sure the support is in place for you! Xx

I though I was getting away without sickness- just nausea but BOY it hit me last night for the first time 😷

Two fetal poles have developed, but they’re too small and no heartbeats. We now have to wait another week, because of guidelines, to see if anything happens (even though they’ve told us it isn’t going to) and if it doesn’t come away by itself over the next week I have another scan next Friday and then have chosen surgical.

I can’t believe I wasted my whole summer holiday on this. 😭

WishingUponARainbow · 22/08/2025 13:06

@Fallulah I’m so sorry you’re going through this ❤️‍🩹

Checking in 💙

Do we have 3 ladies getting scans today??

Me! It went well. Measuring 1 day behind so my due date has moved forward 2 from a Saturday to a Monday. Are Sunday due dates not allowed or something? Lol. We've told DS this evening. He's not quite 3 and has taken the news well, wanted to know if it was March yet. Not told anyone else yet but excited to share the news now. I wonder if by telling everyone it'll be less tiring as I won't need to hide how nauseous I am. And it'll explain the new constant snacking.

LevelOneAgain · 22/08/2025 19:00

I'm so sorry to hear your news @Fallulah. Look after yourself x

Orangelover · 22/08/2025 20:09

So sorry @FallulahFlowers

Bit of a TMI question ladies, anyone else suffering with trapped wind? Actually to be honest it’s not even trapped. Every night I’m just farting all over the place Confused never known wind like it! Blush

TheFutureIs · 23/08/2025 06:00

I am so windy, it’s non stop farting at the moment

Yep

Bumblebee1984 · 23/08/2025 07:11

@FallulahI’m so sorry to hear this. Take care of yourself.
@LevelOneAgainthsts great all was ok and you can tell people. I’ll be glad to tell people after mine on Monday and not have to hide it but also keep thinking how to tell my 8 yo and how she will react and will people judge me for having a third. I will also have to tell her dad, my ex and so can’t be bothered with that. I don’t know. My emotions have been crazy these past few days.

TheFutureIs · 23/08/2025 12:06

I got the book Mummy Laid an Egg and we read it to her, then had the scan pic at the end.
She initially thought the pic was her, but was then super excited to find out it was a little sibling.
She told her dad…… or rather made a comment about keeping some socks that are way too small for “Jeff”. What she’s calling the bump. (New baby has a different dad). He was very confused who Jeff was 🤣🤣🤣

TheFutureIs · 23/08/2025 12:09

Oh and @Bumblebee1984screw anyone who judges you. I’m sure lots of people will think we’re crazy, we’ve not even been together a year and haven’t fully moved in together (basically have, but he spends the odd night at his house when needed). But we both feel that each other is “the one”, and we know that the other will be a fantastic parent. It felt right for us, so we made it happen

Dejavu2025 · 23/08/2025 13:33

So 2 weeks ago , I had what was meant to be my final epu scan and they confirmed hematoma was gone and I shouldn't experience anymore bleeding. On Thursday night, after intercourse, I had a sudden gush of bleeding. It was quite alot and since then I have been spotting on and off. It was bright red and actually really freaked us out. I rang EPU and the quickest they can see me is tomorrow. So we have been waiting a couple of days , not knowing what is going on. I'm trying to stay positive but it really was so much more than the other times and very red. Haven't had much cramps or pains. Anyone else experienced this after intercourse or exercise etc?
