Just had a positive, faint line and a 1-2 on clear blue. This puts my due date as April 2nd. Anyone else??

i have a 1 year old but it doesn’t make this pregnancy any less anxiety inducing!

@bumbling best of luck for tomorrow. I'm sure everything will be fine!

@SCK2024 that's great that your scan went well. I'm in Ireland so it might be different. At the midwife appointment they go through your history including your own medical history and your families and the same for your partner. It's basically a lot of questions 😂 they also ask about domestic violence so your partner can't be in the room. They also send you for bloods.

pistachiopastry · 09/09/2025 14:07

@SCK2024- as @SureLooksaid, the first MW appointment is tonnes of questions on medical history etc. Also blood and urine samples, plus a breath test to analyse carbon monoxide levels in your lungs. And your height and weight. That’s about it!

SureLook · 09/09/2025 19:18

@bumbling how did your scan go today?

@bumbling how did your scan go today?

Unfortunately not well, I have had a missed miscarriage. I need to go back again next week and if i haven't started bleeding by then I will need to go through medical management. Best of luck to everyone else with your pregnancies.

Bit of a private Q but ….
has anyone else’s 👇🏼 become more sensitive? (Not sexually) but washing detergent and shaving has really made me irritated constantly and I haven’t even changed anything? 🤦🏻‍♀️

It sounds like it could be thrush? I think it’s quite common in early pregnancy due to a slightly weakened immune system.

There’s no smell or discharge just tickle sensation, I’ve read about thrush in pregnancy being common, I’ve had that as a teen, its not that though .. odd x

SureLook · 13/09/2025 20:29

@SCK2024 I've not had that but it's probably hormones! Could you switch to non bio detergent and look into waxing rather than shaving?

ForGiddyDreamer · 13/09/2025 20:41

@SCK2024 just popping on to say kudos to you for keeping up the maintenence 😂 I've lost all interest in the physical side of things recently with dp (just really don't feel myself) so have neglected the maintenance. We use ecover washing liquid because dp has sensitive skin generally. I used to get a reaction from tampons and even some brands of pads but found cotton pants and non bio liquid gel helped.

O I Just have to! every other day, I hate hair it irritates me 😂

It has to be the hormones, I’ll try a more sensitive detergent and body wash

@SureLook Ouch! I couldn’t wax 😅

SureLook · 14/09/2025 19:28

@SCK2024 haha! Fair enough. I'd definitely try switch your detergent anyway and see how you go. And any creams or lotions, just in case.

How are we all?
I had my NHS 12 week scan today and all is looking ok so far, thank goodness. What a relief!!! The feeling when you finally hear the heartbeat. 🙏🏻❤️

Baby is measuring ahead of my dates, unsurprisingly (they always seem to at the scan!) so my Estimated Due Date is actually 27 March.
But I am certain it will be an April baby, as both my previous babies have been born very overdue.

Hope everyone is doing ok xx

That is so exciting!! Did they play the heartbeat at your 12 week scan?

Mine is next week and I am really looking forward to passing the milestone.

pistachiopastry · 15/09/2025 16:34

@YourSpryOrca- yes they did, within the first few minutes thankfully!! Am sure all will be well at yours - keeping my fingers crossed for you!

SureLook · 15/09/2025 18:56

@pistachiopastry ah, that's great! It's such a lovely sound. I've my NIPT on the 30th of September and my 12 week scan on the 14th of October. I'm pretty nervous due to previous losses!

I have a lovely fb group from my last pregnancy from mumsnet that we still talk on now. Just wondered if there was an April group on fb from here that I’d missed. The one posted above is only for later in April?
