Just had a positive, faint line and a 1-2 on clear blue. This puts my due date as April 2nd. Anyone else??

i have a 1 year old but it doesn’t make this pregnancy any less anxiety inducing!

Thanks @DoubleDandelionbut it’s just not for me 😭 much as I’d love some pals to chat to I prefer the anonymity here for some reason?! Had a scan today, they put my dates back 4 days and couldn’t see a fetal pole. I can’t help but feel sad and disheartened, like I just know it’s not going to happen

Can I join ladies. I'm 6 weeks, 2 days. This is my fifth pregnancy, 6th baby but I've only one living child. She's 5 months.
A complicated pregnancy history. I had two early miscarriages in 2023, I then got pregnant with twin boys but at birth one of my boys was stillborn and my second boy died in the neonatal intensive care unit 4 days later. I got pregnant with my daughter 8 months later. So its been a scary few years.

I'm due 18th April next year. Im very worried about miscarriage at the moment . I was supposed to have an appointment in the EPU tomorrow but I think im actually a week behind and 5 weeks as I ovulated days 25. I dont think I could face seeing no heartbeat. Im hoping they will push it out a week

7nationbaby · 26/08/2025 05:10

Oh @Ella31 welcome - your history sounds incredibly hard, no doubt you’re worried. This wait is excruciating, time just seems to slow down entirely.
I stupidly took another cb digi and it hasn’t progressed so I’m trying not to spiral and just get through one day at a time until my scan.

Thanks so much. What weeks are you? I know for example that I'm 6 weeks 3 days but because I ovulate late snd have a long cycle, I'm probably 5 weeks 3 days so I wouldn't see much at a scan. Im.so bad for taking tests, I have to put them away. But I totally get it, its so hard 😫

Hello everyone, I've a question about early scans. I am 6+5 today and will be 7 weeks on Thursday. I was in work today and a colleague let me know she is 16 weeks. She said she had a reassurance scan at 7 weeks and they could detect a heartbeat. This was an over the belly scan. I am thinking of booking myself in for a private scan now too maybe next week when I'll be 8 weeks. This will hopefully be my first baby and I'm a little clueless about scans. I miscarried in February and I had a tvs scan at 5 weeks. I don't want to have to do another tvs as I'm nervous about spotting (I'm on progesterone and aspirin for this pregnancy). I guess my question is, if you've had an early scan, did it detect a heartbeat over the belly around 8 weeks? TIA

pistachiopastry · 26/08/2025 19:50

@Ella31I am so so sorry to hear about your previous babies. Did you get seen by EPU today? I hope you can get some peace of mind.

@ForGiddyDreamer - yes I had an abdominal scan with my first at 8 weeks and could hear the heartbeat and see the baby fine. I would ask for the over the belly scan first.

Hi, I moved the appointment to next Tuesday but I did move up to 3 plus on the digital today so that was a relief. Nothing ever certain of course but it helped

7nationbaby · 26/08/2025 22:23

Oh movement is something! I did another digi and it still said 2-3 weeks. It’s possible I ovulated a few days later but my first positive opk was cd 13, temp dip was cd 17 and now they’re saying conception didn’t happen til cd 20. I’ve honestly scrutinised all my data and now there’s nothing to do but wait so trying to keep busy

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, that sounds so incredibly difficult. There are a few of us with losses on this group as well, it is much scarier to be pregnant again after a traumatic experience. I hope you can have a gentle couple of weeks. I think we have a similar gestation too.

I'm not sure about this, could you call the EPU and see what they say?

TealDream · 27/08/2025 07:36

@TruthUnwindingi had an over belly scan at 8 weeks with my daughter and saw a lot x

Yes you'll definitely be able to see a heartbeat with an external ultrasound at 8 weeks. A lot of private places don't offer internal ones but will scan from 7 weeks.

Cautiously posting. 37 and ‘pregnant’ with 2nd. We had been trying for a while ( with both!) . With my first I had multiple tests and we got odd results. Before they could be dug into, I fell pregnant naturally. I joined a mumsnet group (we also created a private fbk group) and I found it a real lifeline.

I am a wreck this time… so anxious that something will go wrong. I had an early scan and measured 6w and now am 7w2d. Whilst the scan was positive, dates were slightly off and I’ve been spotting almost daily. We used a private clinic with our little girl and went back there as the Dr is v experienced and we did all of our milestone scans here (beard mill, oxon). The Dr wasn’t worried and I am booked to see where we are at next Thursday (8w2d). The spotting was fairly heavy 2 weeks ago (pre scan) but has calmed down - though something everyday! I feel nauseas several times a day, tired and have aversions to the food I normally eat. But is it in my head?!?!?! No idea.

I remember the group I was on before (some of whom I still speak to) really helped throughout the different phases of pregnancy. I also remember thinking anyone having their second can’t be feeling the same as me with a first…. I couldn’t have been more wrong. So hoping this group provides the same level of support and stories!

Yes! 8w scan should detect a heartbeat. Chances of miscarriage significantly decrease when a heartbeat is detected at 8w! Certainly recommend!

Thanks @HRA22 @TealDream @TruthUnwinding I booked in for next Friday when I'll be 8+1 by LMP. I had been worried last week I hadn't much if any nausea. Well, spent this morning with my head over the loo retching 😑I'm 7 weeks today.

Good to hear about the scan. I have mine today at exactly 7 weeks. So scared!

Thank you! I was in early so I saw a little bean with a heartbeat <3 This is my first ever positive scan after a TFMR and MMC, and a few chemicals. I am meant to be 7 weeks and measuring 6+2ish, but apparently they can 'catch up'. So feeling a bit more hopeful. My nausea has also been off the scale, so I'm going back to bed now. An emotional few days! How is everyone else doing?

ForGiddyDreamer · 29/08/2025 12:09

I am so delighted to hear that @TruthUnwinding Enjoy some rest ❤

OpalOcean · 30/08/2025 09:48

Hope everyone is doing well! Had a difficult week or so and been in lots of pain. Feeling much better today so that’s positive. Have a scan this afternoon at what should be 7+5 ☺️ x

Screenburn · 30/08/2025 10:01

Sorry to hear about your pain @OpalOcean but glad it’s improving! Best of luck for the scan!

I’m 2 weeks behind you and thankfully no pain yet but I’m exhausted and very nauseous. Still can’t quite believe this is happening so have booked an early scan for a week’s time. Just have to get through a crazy work week first without any naps!

How’s everyone else doing?
