Thanks for replying @Miepp that's reassuring. I'll go with a full bladder and see what happens.

Hi @Eeebee14 ! I'm 11w+5 although I've been measuring ahead on my earlier scans. My 12 week scan is Monday afternoon so just before yours. I wish my nausea would go, it's making me miserable. My sense of smell is bloodhound-like which doesn't help. Feeling bloated but don't think I can claim baby bump yet, I think I'll relax a bit more once I know for sure something is growing in there!

Babydust99 · 17/07/2025 13:17

@Eeebee14 my 12 week scan and booking appointment are on 29th. I had a scan yesterday and measuring 11 weeks so looks like I'll be almost 13 weeks for my 12 week scan!

GiraffeMumma · 17/07/2025 18:42

My 12 week scan is booked for the 1st august when i'll be 12+4 according to my dates. I am hoping the nausea and sickness go away anyday.. definitely feeling slightly better this week (at 10weeks) but still awful in the afternoons and any brushing of teeths is an instant mistake..
Bloat is fully there and i cant wait until its more of a bump.
Had my booking appointment last week and I've been referred to the consultant because my 2nd son was 4.6kg and over their 4.5kg threshold- he was 9days late, him 5ft 10, his dad 6ft 1. i make big babies- he's still huge/tall at 5!! So im rolling my eyes at them already mentioning gestational diabetes. No signs or concerns in either of my other pregnancies. Also told i will HAVE to the the GTT test at 24weeks- (rolling my eyes at the language she was using- i dont have to do anything- i'll get closer and see if i have any concerns or worries first!)

Didn't have any consultant appointments or gtt testing in either pregnancy before so something new this time.
Also was asked if i could have a student midwife follow my pregnancy and attend the birth.. i said sure. Im stubborn and determined to have a very chill pregnancy/birth so lets see if i can manifest that!!

@GiraffeMumma I had a student midwife with my second and it was the loveliest experience, she was so great!

I have my scan and blood on the 31st, does anyone know how long the NIPT results take to come through.

WildFinch · 18/07/2025 15:12

@Mrs777 I've got my 12 week scan on Monday. Are you in the UK? I was told NHS won't offer me NIPT unless my combined screening was high. NHS website says the results of the combined test can take up to 2 weeks to come back but I think you find out at the scan what the NT measurement is which can give you an idea if it's within normal range or not. Perhaps someone who has done it before can advise as I'm curious to know too!

Have you seen your GP about maybe getting some meds? I found eating rice cakes, dry cereal and ginger biscuits helped when I was feeling nauseous.

Exciting! Not long now. The wait is agonizing.
Same for me. I was measuring ahead for each of my early scans at 6 and 8 weeks on the dot I was measuring 6+3 and 8+3.

I wondering what the measurements will be on Tuesday. I should be 11+5, would be funny if it was over 12. Does that mean the baby is growing fast? I literally have no idea.

Babydust99 · 18/07/2025 17:21

@Eeebee14 I measured 2 days ahead on 2 of my early scans but then the rest were bang on my dates but then Wednesdays scan was measuring bang on 11 weeks and baby was stretched out so should be pretty accurate. I think dates are never exact because you never really know the exact day you conceived or implanted but going by measurements is your best bet

Mrs777 · 18/07/2025 18:08

Yes I’m in uk and it’s through the nhs. I think it’s standard here and girls at work who are way younger than me also got it as standard at scan.

wayyytoomuch · 19/07/2025 15:43

Has anyone found anything that helps with vomiting? I had no sickness with DS but am constantly nauseous and vomiting a few times a day with this pregnancy, I’ve tried ginger biscuits but that’s not helped much!

Have you been to you go they might be able to give you meds. Take b6 vitamins.
Try little sips of water when you feel like vomiting. And maybe rice cakes.

Babydust99 · 19/07/2025 18:19

@wayyytoomuch my gp prescribed me xonvea. It really takes the edge off. Its the only anti sickness medication in the UK licensed for pregnancy

Tofu35 · 19/07/2025 22:40

Couldn't find this thread for ages, and my two year old is mental so no real time to do digging!

Scan on Tuesday and then my 40th on Thursday, midwife was being weird because in our health board mums over 40 area higher risk than those at 39, so she's tying herself in knots about what "pathway" I'm on.

WildFinch · 21/07/2025 05:37

Been awake since 3am, got my 12 week scan today so feeling quite anxious!
@Tofu35 I'm 40 in October, midwife didn't mention my age but queried possible high risk due to 2 MCs and a weird genetic thing on DHs side. I've a phone call with obstetrics in September. Hope your scan goes well tomorrow and happy birthday!

Mrs777 · 21/07/2025 10:07

Hope your scan goes well, very exciting x

Tofu35 · 21/07/2025 14:35

@WildFinch thanks! Seems if I'm in the risk pathway as an older mum, I will be on low dose aspirin and given additional scans! I guess I'll find out tomorrow what they decide :)

Similar to my last pregnancy, the first trimester symptoms did not miraculously stop at 12 weeks, if anything they're ramping up. FML.

WildFinch · 21/07/2025 21:10

Scan was positive! Could see baby wriggling around. NT measurement in range and sonographer was happy with what she could see. Now just to wait for the combined test bloods.

WildFinch · 21/07/2025 21:11

@Tofu35 my symptoms so definitely haven't eased up yet at 12w+4 still lots of nausea and tiredness. Really hoping it goes soon!

Joeylove88 · 21/07/2025 23:15

Is anyone having 2nd baby and felt much more bloated really early on compared to the first?

Mrs777 · 22/07/2025 12:25

I have my app with consultant and scan the 31st, can I ask what kinda stuff does the consultant speak about? Told I have this at main hospital cause my age and just curious how it will go

Eeebee14 · 22/07/2025 13:47

Hi ladies. I've had my dating scan and bloods done today. The baby was jumping around inside me like it was on a trampoline, I literally couldn't stop laughing. Crazy that I can't feel it at this stage. Also be dated 2 days ahead so 12 weeks exactly today and EDD 3rd February 2026.

I should get my blood results in the next 72 hours.
Hope everyone else is doing ok x
