Congrats @Eeebee14 ! It's so weird isn't it that you can't feel anything but you see them moving. Lovely clear picture, mine was pretty blurry.

My bladder was so full as there were running an hour behind it was quite uncomfortable.
That's great you get your bloods back so fast, I was told up to 2 weeks. Hoping for sooner. My NT measurement was 1.3 which I understand is good but I'm 39 so that does bump up my risk.

Miepp · 22/07/2025 19:15

Awww congratulations @Eeebee14!! Lovely scan photo.

Ive still not had a date through for my scan , I’m about 10 weeks now. How close to the 12 week mark did everyone else’s scan letter come through? I’ve not had any private scans or anything yet either so feeling super nervous 😬

BranwellBronte · 22/07/2025 19:39

@Eeebee14 Congratulations! That's my EDD too!
Got my first scan on the 30th, feeling really overwhelmed this week with sickness and my brother's sentencing date on Friday and my dog's got a slipped disc (thank Krillthorp she's doing better with physio). Could do with a hug tbh :/

WildFinch · 22/07/2025 20:44

@Miepp have you had your booking appointment? My scan letter came through before id even had that so must have been around 7/8 weeks. I'd give triage or EPU a call to check perhaps?

I read somewhere that drinking lots of water can make the picture clearer because the amniotic fluid will be more clear when hydrated so I drank so much this past week.

Mine also ran late but about 20 minutes, standard right? Haha. I had to empty my bladder because apparently it was too full to see baby properly. Which was interesting, never had that before, but not unwelcome!

Thank you!

I saw my appointment on the Badger notes app when I was about 9 weeks or so then got the hospital letter a few days later. This is my first so I don't know timings of these things.
But it seems you should've heard something by now

Hbw18 · 23/07/2025 13:55

I had my booking appointment at 10 weeks and my scan date (when I’ll actually be 13 weeks) came through on the app the next day, then a letter a couple of days after. Lovely hearing lots of good 12 week scans, I’m excited / nervous for mine in a week and a bit! Got a festival with 2 littles first 😅🫣😴

Eeebee14 · 24/07/2025 11:18

Hi everyone I got my blood results back today. Apparently low risk for downs, Edwards and pataus. It's only been two days so I freaked out a bit thinking it must be bad news if the results came back this quickly. Who knew hospitals can just be efficient if they want to be?
Hope everyone else is doing ok

WildFinch · 24/07/2025 11:47

@Eeebee14 that's great news! How did you get them back? I had mine on Monday hoping they'll come soon but they did say a week or so.

I’m in same situation had my booking appt 2 weeks ago almost and now 10+4 but no scan appointment through which was expecting by now!

I got a notification via the NHS app telling me I have a message from the hospital, and that I'll receive a letter in the post with the scan + blood results on them. I also checked the badger notes app and the blood test results were on there as well.

Hey all. Joining this thread too, 40 and due 13th Feb 2026 with baby #1. Very few physical symptoms but severe mental health issues. Hoping to find some light and joy from everyone and follow along with your journeys:)

Also 40 :) first baby due 13th Feb

Tofu35 · 27/07/2025 06:52

@Joeylove88 same, I'm already living in leggings as my jeans are not closing any more!

@SharpLion turned 40 on Thurs - got a call on Friday from midwife (panicked it was about my bloods from the dating scan). They said now I'm 40 I'm on low dose aspirin every day as a precaution. Although have a friend who just had her wee one at 43 and she was not told to take aspirin, so who knows if it's my midwife being overly cautious or hers just...not?

That's the heartburn starting up, I had it with my last pregnancy and probably deserved shares in gaviscon at the rate I used to get through packets!

12 week scan and booking appointment is tomorrow. Felt like forever away and now I can't believe it's tomorrow! My dates put me at 12+1 but my last 2 scans put me at 12+5 so will be interesting to see what the official scan says

Mrs777 · 28/07/2025 13:40

Good luck, mine is Thursday, I’m so so nervous

naturesponge · 28/07/2025 15:54

Hi! I have my 12 week scan tomorrow, very very nervous. I've had basically no symptoms, massive boobs aside, and feel almost like I've made the whole thing up.

👋
Hi, joining as I have my 12 week scan this Friday. Hoping to feel excited and a bit less anxious after that. We had an 8 week viability scan privately and saw the heartbeat and a 9 week scan at EPU as I was bleeding. Thankfully everything was OK! Just have everything crossed that it still is. 🤞

Babydust99 · 29/07/2025 13:28

Thank you everyone 😊 scan and booking appointment went well. Just waiting for bloods to come back on the app now. Hopefully have them all back in the next few days

BishopOakAntiques · 29/07/2025 17:31

Had my 12 week scan today too, and all looked positive - now just the nerve wracking wait for the blood test results. A NT of 1.3mm is a good sign I hope, even at the grand old age of 40? Fingers crossed for everyone!

Tofu35 · 29/07/2025 23:43

@BishopOakAntiques we have a two week wait from blood test to results, torture! It didn't help I had a voicemail from my midwife telling me to call them a few days after the blood tests were taken. Complete panic spiral!

She was just calling to say at 40 they recommend low dose aspirin 😂

Eeebee14 · 30/07/2025 12:43

Good luck everyone with upcoming scans and blood results coming.

Is anyone finding out the gender? We have booked a blood test and gender scan on 22nd August, I'll be about 16+3. I am very impatient. Decided to get the blood test too incase baby is not cooperative on the day.

Feels like a lifetime away at this point. But it's nice to have something to look forward too. Seems like the 20 weeks scan and my next mw appointment is also so far away at the moment.

youngspinach · 30/07/2025 13:01

Is anyone else struggling with a flattened immune system? I’ve had two colds in a row - this current one feels more like it could be Covid. Also randomly got an ear infection. Feeling a bit miserable as I’m really wanting to stay active and go for walks and swimming but at the moment I’m just resting up and feeling sorry for myself.

12 week scan is next week which I’m nervously looking forward to.
