This insomnia can get in the bin! Every night just randomly awake for a few hours, listening to my husband peacefully snore beside me ...

Sorry to hear, same with my hubby. He drops off as soon as lies down. How far along are you?

Tofu35 · 12/12/2025 12:21

33 weeks, not long to go!

mumsiemoo2 · 14/12/2025 17:36

Thinking maybe I have just caught this horrible cold virus that is going around rather than it being the rsv vaccine. I finish work this week (due on 1st Feb) baby is big, so might be having an early induction 😬

Tofu35 · 14/12/2025 22:22

@mumsiemoo2 how are you feeling about it?

I feel ok about it, I had two induction with my girls but I was over. I had strep in both my previous pregnancies so induction meant I knew I would get the antibiotics needed.

im not really sure what to think about the consultant saying he will be big, I don’t feel any bigger than previously and I have had a few people tell me the estimated weight on scans can be unreliable.

both previous babies were 7lb 8oz and 7lb 10z so comfortable sizes 😂

Eeebee14 · 17/12/2025 19:01

Hi everyone, hope everyone is doing well.

So quick update, just came back from my 33 week mw appointment. They've booked me in for a growth scan on Monday because baby is measuring over 97th centile. No sugar in urine, no symptoms of GD, she thinks it's a big baby because of genetics. I'm small and slim and hubby and his family are chonkers.

Also got my c section date. 27th Jan. 6 weeks 😬

Babydust99 · 17/12/2025 22:17

I think I felt a bit off after RSV. When's everyone due? I'm 8th Feb but section booked for 5th and may be brought forward due to a blood clotting disorder and GD

GingerFox2021 · 18/12/2025 09:29

I’m 32+5 weeks. Due on 7 February.
The dr let me choose whether to have vaginal birth or book a c-section. He won’t let me go over 40 weeks, if I don’t give birth until then, I’ll need to be induced. Or book a c-section at 39 weeks.

Have you had a GD test @Eeebee14 ? I had a growth scan Monday because I just turned 40 and baby was measuring along 50th percentile so all good. But I had slightly too much fluid around baby so they want me to do a GD test.

Ahh 1 day before me! So close! Lol

Im due 5th Feb but have placenta previa so he may be coming sooner. I have a scan on Monday to find out what the plans will be - nervous but excited to know 😬

No I've not had a GD test. Mw booked me into the scan for Monday as my fundal heights were measured 90th, 97 and I'm guessing above 97th yesterday, and I guess we go from there. I'm only 5 ft, and hubby is tall, his family are chunky. She said it could just be baby has nowhere to go 🤣. But I guess we will find out on Monday what the findings are. She could just be a big baby, I think it runs in their family, my SIL had an over 8 pounder.

I know GD can be silent, but I have no symptoms and urine shows nothing of concern. I'm also 35

Tofu35 · 20/12/2025 05:12

@Eeebee14 haha a chunky baby with nowhere to go! You must be getting uncomfortable, are you doing alright day to day?

So funny you ask that. My waters broke Saturday night/Sunday morning and I've currently been admitted to hospital. Now on the delivery ward, but not in active labor. Cervix is long and closed. Getting some period like pains in the front, back and legs, with tightening and BH. Had no idea what they were, I thought they were baby pushing against me, it's been happening for weeks.

I've got an IV for antibiotics, had my steroid injection (bloody hell they hurt!!!). Glad I have my own room for now, the ward beforehand was hell, didn't sleep till 8am this morning, then the lights were coming in and it was breakfast orders.

Baby is super happy and doing well, very active, almost no waters left and she is currently breech 🤣🤣.

Not sure what's gonna happen if they'll get her out at 24 weeks or keep her in till 37 weeks. It all depends on her.

She is fine and happy, I am miserable and missing my own loo, and fridge and sofa and TV. Potential Xmas baby was not on my bingo card. Probably be in hospital over Xmas as well.

Hope you ladies had a more boring weekend than I did.

Tofu35 · 22/12/2025 02:51

@Eeebee14 oh no what a dramatic few days. The ward is probably the opposite of what we need at that stage, loud bright and busy! Hope your partner or a friend/ family member can bring you an eye mask and headphones (even though you have your own room now!). How is the hospital breakfast? Worth a sleepless night for?
Hope baby decides to stay at least a few weeks longer before appearing, but they're all on their own timeline. You're in the best place, hope you get home soon!

Eeebee14 · 23/12/2025 01:29

@Tofu35 I've not been up to experience a breakfast yet.

And I went into labour at about 5am on the 22nd, baby born at 7.35 by emergency c section. She came out screaming and quite healthy, currently she is on NICU.

It's been a crazy weekend, she decided she wanted to be here 🤣.

It was funny, they gave me paracetamol for the pain, then the contractions stated and I was 3 in 10. The irony. I was 6cm dilated by 6.20, had to wait for the doctor as he was in theatre, and the midwife couldn't examine me because of the no waters.

Literally in theaters at 6.54 and baby out by 7.30am.

What a day! X

Hi everyone, baby and I are doing well, she is really hungry all the time and has a good pair of lungs on her. Being in hospital over Xmas is a little weird, it's all been a bit of a blur. Didn't know I could feel this tired. Very grateful for the help of the ward staff right now. Hope everyone else is getting along ok

Congratulations on the safe arrival of your little one 😊 and I hope everyone has managed to have some nice downtime over Christmas and has a great New Year!

I dont feel like my little girl has any more room to move now and im wondering if she will want to make an earlier appearance! Im hoping she waits to at least 37 weeks because we haven't got a car seat arriving until after 19th Jan 🤦‍♀️ my fault for ordering too late!
