Hi is anyone else experiencing fluctuating symptoms? I’m 7 weeks +2 days today x

@elsbuth2001 my symptoms seem to vary from hour to hour even, i feel absolutely fine right this second but four hours ago was dry heaving and felt terrible! Boobs seem to come and go as well 🤷🏻‍♀️ i think it must be as the waves of hormones go up and down a bit? Sure thats not scientific answer haha but seems to make sense

Miepp · 02/07/2025 18:23

@elsbuth2001& @FloralcatI’m exactly the same!! Mornings are the most severe though

Anyone else feel like a new person today with the cooler weather?!
I feel so much better and slightly less sick! I've managed to keep breakfast down and fancy eating some lunch- hooray!

Absolutely! I only slept about 3 hours on the hottest night, but last night I slept for 8. And now today I had energy to do things. Wonderful!

Yes. I'm 8+6 today. Feeling nauseous from about 5 weeks when I got a bit of spotting, I think that was when the baby bedded in. Now for the past week not really nauseous and I've got my appetite back as well. But I am feeling more tired, and my legs feel like I'm wearing heavy shoes. Barely drag myself around the house. Tragic haha.

Yes! I'm 9w+4 today and my sore nipples have disappeared. Still very tired and nauseous from lunchtime onwards. My symptoms have fluctuated over the past few weeks but tiredness remains constant.

Have just been to bathroom and quite a large amount of brown blood, more than a few specs but none on wiping. Feeling terrified after had a healthy early scan on Tuesday 😭 i haven’t had any spotting at all - has anyone had this at 7-8 weeks and been okay? I don’t even know it epau will see me as was dated at 7+1 on Tuesday and think mine only see from 8 weeks .

Sorry to hear this @Floralcat I know how worrying spotting is. I was told brown is old blood so likely nothing to worry about. Could be irritation from the scan, sex, old implantation blood. I spotted constantly weeks 6 and 7 in my first pregnancy. If it gets heavier, red, you have cramps the advice I was given is to call EPU. Hoping it stops soon x

I’ve convinced myself it is beginning of the end as i suddenly realised I haven’t felt so sick today and boobs seem to have gone flatter since yesterday. I will see if anything develops tomorrow but have a bad gut feeling 😭

Miepp · 03/07/2025 20:27

@Floralcatit might be implantation bleeding or an hematona , I’ve got friends that have had both in pregnancy!! Really scary but their babies were fine. Ring epu because they should at least give you some advice on the phone xx

Thank you @Miepp @WildFinch I will give them a ring tomorrow to see what they say if carries on tomorrow- the worst timing as well as MIL coming for weekend and we had planned to tell her tomorrow with the early scan being so reassuring but may hold off now. xx

Continued to spot this morning but was able to get an appointment straight away at EPAU- they did a scan and thankfully there is still a healthy baby there at the moment measuring 7+4 from 7+1 on Tuesday. They think ive got a haematoma or a bleeding fibroid but out of the way of the baby so didn’t seem too worried and said just come back if bleeding got very heavy but otherwise not too concerned about spotting. Relieved for now! xx

Glad it's good news

That's great news @Floralcat I was thinking of you this morning. We're telling my in-laws this weekend as we're all going on holiday together. They'll guess anyway as I'm the first on the prosecco normally!
We had our reassurance scan today and it was good, measuring 10w+3 baby was wiggling around could see little arms, legs, head etc. very surreal, never got this far before. Husband was blown away with how baby-like it looked this time. Midwife booking appointment was this morning so starting to feel very real 😳
How's everyone else getting on?

Miepp · 04/07/2025 17:18

Hi, hoping I can join. Firstly congratulations to everyone!☺️
Been watching the thread for a while but was too scared to post until I had my scan at epu to see how everything was going due to having a few bleeds. My scan today showed a baby with a lovely heart beat🥰 put me two days a head so I am now officially 7 weeks and due the 20th Feb. On the scan it showed that I had a hematoma next to the sac, they recommended cyclogest progesterone pessaries. I was just wondering if anyone has had anything similar happen to them?x

Congratualtions @kiki2516 its so great you saw a little baby with heartbeat! i had a scan yesterday after some spotting which also showed i had haematoma 7+4 but i think mine was out of the way of the sac so they just said avoid strenuous activity didnt say about progesterone or anything! maybe it depends where it is/ how much bleeding you have had. How are you feeling otherwise? X

Oh that’s amazing! Congratulations!
Yeah they said the same to me to avoid lifting anything heavy. They did also mention that they offer the progesterone to women who have had a history of miscarriages so maybe that could be why. I had a heavyish bleed the day my period was due so I assumed I was having an early miscarriage. Tests were still dark a week later followed by some brown spotting so I went into the scan thinking the worst tbh, really shocked baby was okay but obviously really happy!
Morning sickness and fatigue are kicking my butt😂 I just want to sleep all day but I have two little ones who keep me on my toes haha! How are you feeling?x

oh my gosh i feel you with the nausea and fatigue- it seems to come and go but overall i feel like a literal zombie right now i could just sleep all day and quite literally cannot stomach anything but toast/ cereal or potato based food i.e chips 🤣 ive only got one 3yr old to contend with so feel like i shouldn’t complain when you have two!

kiki2516 · 05/07/2025 08:38

I feel the same, the constant nausea is draining, it’s left me with no appetite. The only thing I’ve been managing is licking ready salted crisps😂 I’ve also had the weirdest craving for vinegar on anything and everything😩 and chips and gravy haha! No no complain all you want, kids have boundless energy, it’s hard to keep up with them at the best of times but throwing pregnancy into the mix as well, it’s bloody hard! My eldest is 3 this month and then I have a 10 month old x

Hey, due date twin! I also haven’t posted yet but have been following the thread.

First pregnancy and it doesn’t really feel real yet, especially as my symptoms have really dropped off the last week or so. I’ve been a bit worried as I was feeling quite nauseous and my boobs were really sore for a while, but everything’s a lot less at the moment. But I am feeling exhausted and had long afternoon naps the last two days, so there’s definitely something going on! Trying not to read too much into anything as from reading a million threads I know that symptoms do fluctuate and it doesn’t always mean something.

I’ve booked an early scan at 8 weeks so looking forward to hopefully seeing something in there to make me feel like it’s not all in my head!

Hi, my symptoms have gone a lot like this and have had a private scan and also emergency scan due to discomfort but all was fine. Some days are worse than others symptom wise so try not to let that worry you although it’s hard.
how many weeks are you? X

Thank you! I’m 7+1 today, how far along are you? It’s nice to hear that other people are having the same, it’s just hard when you have nothing else to go on isn’t it! Glad your scan went well :)

I’m 7+5 today, it is horrible not knowing what’s going on but I’ve had a discussion with my midwife who reassured me there’s usually nothing to worry about unless bleeding or cramps that require pain relief xx

Oh hey twin!

congratulations on your first pregnancy! I was the same with my first pregnancy, everything was so new and didn’t know what to expect!

my symptoms always started around the 6-7 week mark, 6 weeks has always been the start of morning sickness with me, but this one it started at 5🤢

hormones are always up and down which does cause a lot of change in symptoms but then it doesn’t help our paranoia does it!

not long to wait for your scan then! think I will book a private one at 9 weeks just to keep me going😂 you will have to keep me updated on everything and how your scan goes!
