Hi, 42 have 3 teens, had 2 losses one last month, currently 7.2 weeks. Feeling tired, “hungover” sore boobs and constipated 😐

littlebutton22 · 28/06/2025 20:24

If you find something that helps the constipation then please do share. I’ve resorted to prune juice but it’s vile!

Mrs777 · 28/06/2025 21:59

Apparently lactolose is good and safe

gem90xo · 29/06/2025 13:05

What to expect from your first NHS midwife app? I have mine this week and it’s my first pregnancy. Thank you x

WildFinch · 29/06/2025 14:55

@gem90xo have you been registered with Badger notes? My Trust uses that app to keep a note of all appointments etc. I have to fill in a long questionnaire with all my details. Details of the father, family health history etc. then they go through that at the appointment, urine test, bloods, weight, height etc. I've got mine on Friday morning. My previous one took about an hour and a half.

Anyone else feeling horrendous? Im
nauseous 24/7, headachey, tired. I’ve been pregnant twice before and trying to remember when does this end? I was 8 weeks yesterday so guessing there’s still quite a few weeks of misery ahead of me.

Babydust99 · 30/06/2025 11:03

@MummaBear18291 yes same here, I'm about 8-8.5 weeks. Our hormones should be peaking about now or within the next few days so I'm hoping for even a small, gradual improvement starting soon. I've been so ill I'm on max dose of anti-sickness.

Sorry you’re suffering too. I really hope so. I think I remember last time is started getting better around 9 weeks but seeing how I’m feeling now, I find it hard to believe it! This heat isn’t helping either.

Babydust99 · 30/06/2025 12:24

@MummaBear18291 no the heat is horrendous! Im stuck in bed 24/7 with a fan on and windows open and still boiling

Yeah I’m unable to do anything as well. Have 2 little ones here who are just left to their own devices while I’m stuck on the sofa.

Mrs777 · 30/06/2025 14:01

I’m 8 weeks on Thursday and just feel utterly sea sick most of the day 😨

Wednesdayonline · 30/06/2025 14:03

@MummaBear18291 I'm 9+4 and definitely feeling better than week 6-8. Still tired and dry heaving on and off but I have some energy to shower and go for short walks at least 😂

Elbone · 30/06/2025 14:08

38 years old
Pregnant with baby number 4, and only just getting used to the idea.
I’m 5 weeks and 6 days

No real symptoms.

That’s encouraging to hear that you’re starting to feel a bit better!

Hi all!

So glad I found part 2 of the thread. I was wondering why it stopped taking comments, and thought how rude! I guess everyone decided to go to the FB group I could never get the link to work for🤣🤣

I'm 8w4d today but at my scan last week 26th june at 8 weeks I was measuring 3 days ahead again.

I'm so tired of this heat!!!! Nausea seems to have eased off this past week which is nice, but I'm taking it day by day incase it hits me suddenly next week, and I feel like a fool.

How is everybody doing?

I found lactulose, apples and apple juice work when I was seriously bunged up over the weekend. Just don't overdo the lactulose it can give you cramps. Get a syringe and take 5ml morning and 5ml before bed. And lots of water. Can also water down the prune juice to make it less pruney 🤣

Hbw18 · 30/06/2025 19:30

I am 8 + 2 and also feeling pretty awful in this heat and with 2 little ones. Anyone else feel ridiculously bloated by the evening? I feel so uncomfortable I just want to go to bed when the children are asleep 😅 the only thing that’s stopping the nausea is eating a lot of carby foods which obviously doesn’t help. Glad to hear the bone crushing tiredness should ease up fairly soon 🤞🏻

I only have one other little one in the mix but was about to post exactly the same about the carbs, i literally can only stomach eating bread/ chips - anything else seems revolting and making nausea worse. im worried im not providing my body with ANY nutrition right now but also thinking there must be a reason body wanting to store loads of carbs to fuel it maybe? Cant remember it being so marked with my first pregnancy

@Floralcat I know… I do seem to remember craving healthy food in the second trimester previously so hopefully that’ll be the case this time! I definitely think tiredness is worse this time which makes total sense as mine are 7 and 4 and keep me very busy 😅 that might be why my body wants carbs…trying to get some energy perhaps?! I also feel a bit overwhelmed / hormonal when I am super tired but seems to improve when I’ve had some rest.

I had an early private scan yesterday and they think I’m around 6 weeks and a few days. It was amazing seeing the little heartbeat flicker 🥹

but my god it’s almost as if my sickness hit on the drive home! I came home and threw up and today I’ve woken up feeling so nauseous. Last week I posted worrying about the lack of symptoms 😅

how are people managing with work? I’m lucky that I can WFH but I am supposed to go into the office for two days a week but I can’t face my long commute (2 hours on a train). I’m tempted to tell work just so they can support me if I need to WFH until the sickness goes. Has anyone else done this before from previous pregnancies?

Wednesdayonline · 01/07/2025 12:59

@gem90xo so far I have just worked from home and nobody has picked up on it yet... Only usually in once a week. Might have to tell my manager soon because Im not sure I can do a whole day in the office! It would be obvious I'm pregnant 😂 trying to wait until I'm closer to 12 weeks. If your office is strict on going in i would definitely tell HR/manager so they can make adjustments for you.

Yes they are a bit strict with being in 40% of the week (2 days) so I think I may have to! I don’t even want to leave my house let alone get on a packed train feeling like this and sit in an office trying to act normal 🤮

hope your sickness subsides soon!

GiraffeMumma · 01/07/2025 13:29

I cannot wait for this heat to end! It is making me feel 100× more ill than just being 8 weeks..
In my previous 2 pregnancies i had barely any morning sickness so this almost constant feeling has wiped me out. Super noodles, crackers, rice cakes and bread are about 80% of all i can eat at the moment.
Got a private scan on Fri and i can't wait to finally see the little blob making me feel so rubbish!
I have a very active job and i get home and can barely get off the sofa. I am so thankful for my husband (but don't tell him that!)
I'm hoping im one of these people who feels better after 8ish weeks.
