Finally joining the thread as I'm now 13w4d & this baby seems to be sticking (I'm 36, this will be DC2 but pregnancy #6 so didn't want to get my hopes up).
We have a 3yo DS and I'm thinking this one might be a girl from nub theory?

Congratulations 👏, lovely picture.
I'm thinking boy. But I'm not an expert on nub theory. I can't see anything on mine.

Had my scan and dates shifted to 13+4 (due 5/02) got a stubborn one as baby wouldnt move or stay in a position for any nice pic. Just saw lots of their back and back of head. 🤣
The sonographer was pressing so hard to try and get baby to move i was sore afterwards- they were just so comfy 🤣__

15 weeks, and I am getting absolutely floored with random bouts of tiredness. Very lucky I can work from home, and mainly manage my own workload but I had two things to finish yesterday and it felt insurmountable!

Hope everyone is keeping well!

Sarale · 06/08/2025 09:05

Hi all! I'm due on the 24th, my first was 40+9 but ended up in a C Section, so I imagine if I choose a C this one will stay a Feb baby.
Had my second scan yesterday and this baby was much wriggling like crazy! We're in Austria so if anyone is interested in how things are here, ask away :)

@MummaBear18291 have you had your thyroid levels checked? Mine were low last pregnancy but normal now and I've been so much less tired!

Has everyone started telling people yet? Will be nearly 16 weeks when I see family but think I'd rather wait and do it in person 😖

Hbw18 · 06/08/2025 17:56

I had my 12 week scan yesterday (at just over 13 weeks) and everything looks great! Although he or she was too stubborn to get in the right position for the screening measurement. Has anyone else had this?
it was so amazing and reassuring seeing them on screen - even though they are my third that amazement is just the same! 😃
we've started telling people and plan to tell the children next week (we know once we tell them, we’ve essentially signed up to telling everyone haha)

Exactly the same as me!! Had my scan Monday at 13 +4 and due 5th Feb! Sore from how hard they pressed to get baby to move! X

kiki2516 · 08/08/2025 17:22

Hey, hope everyone is getting on okay?

Had my 12 week scan today! Which I’ve now been put forward 3 days, so 12+3 with a due date of the 17th Feb now! Baby was bouncing around, but managed to get all the measurements😂
Bloods have been done, so just waiting for the results to come through.
Next scan with be when I’m around 17 weeks to find out the gender, because I’m impatient😂
Hope everyone else’s scans have gone alright!x

youngspinach · 08/08/2025 19:44

Glad your scan went well @kiki2516 - mine was yesterday and all good as well :) the baby was flipping around all over the place which was amazing! Also been put forward a few days so due date is now 13th Feb, could be a valentines baby! It feels a bit mad that I’m suddenly down as 13 weeks pregnant, in my head I’m only just 12 weeks.

Also waiting for screening results now as well, hope they come back quickly and all clear for us all 🙏

kiki2516 · 08/08/2025 20:47

It’s mad isn’t it @youngspinach how you can just jump ahead with dates haha! It’s so nice seeing them move around so much already!

ooooo a little valentines baby! Will you be finding out the gender?

Fingers crossed for you as well that results are all well and good, and for anybody else still waiting to hear🤞🏼

Eeebee14 · 08/08/2025 22:59

Congratulations on the scan, glad everything went well. Hopefully the results come through quickly.

I'm also gonna find out the gender. Booked a blood test and scan for 22nd August.

kiki2516 · 08/08/2025 23:40

@Eeebee14 Not much longer until you find out then! How exciting! Any preference on gender? (Not sure if you’ve mentioned if you already have children with being a late joiner here myself).

Think I will book mine for around the second week of September.

GingerFox2021 · 09/08/2025 12:54

Hello ladies! I’ll join too - 14 weeks today.
Could I ask you please if you all choose NIPT privately or just do a combined screening with NHS? Thank you.

Hey!

I’ve never done the NIPT privately so can’t offer any insight there but I’ve always gone with the NHS combined screening and never had any issues with results ☺️

@GingerFox2021 hi! I’m also 14 weeks today. I planned to have the combined screening at my scan but baby wasn’t in the right position so have just been offered a blood test however that doesn’t cover everything. It looks like screening is quite expensive privately?

Wednesdayonline · 09/08/2025 22:07

@GingerFox2021 I did it privately at 10 weeks. It is pricey though.

Just under 2 weeks, it's dragging! Feels so long between scans where we pretty much assume everything is fine. I would quite like a boy as there are a lot of girls in our family, but I'll also be happy with a girl of course.

I don't have any children, this is the first time I've actually been pregnant at 34/35, so everything is so new to me, I have no point of reference for anything.

How exciting, do you have children/have any gender preferences? X

Floralcat · 10/08/2025 14:31

anyone else just waiting for the second trimester energy burst to kick in? feel a million times better than at 9 weeks but almost 14 weeks and still having days feel absolutely horrific nauseous and exhausted!!

ahhh you’ll have to update when you know!
I know what you mean, I tend to get a few private ones in between because my brain can’t just relax. I usually get my gender one, then the 20 week one on the NHS and then around 27ish weeks I get a 4D one.

Oh wow! How exciting for you, it’s hard not having anything to compare it to when it’s your first time! But also makes you overthink things, thinking ‘is this normal’, i still do it even with experience.

I have a boy and a girl, polar opposites of each other which makes things fun😂 my little boy is a sensitive soul, so loving and a mummy’s boy but my girl is wild, very independent, gives you a little shove if you try to give her a hug haha. I had a late term loss in between them so have a little angel boy as well and an early miscarriage after him. I really don’t mind with this one with already having one of each x

Wednesdayonline · 11/08/2025 09:55

@Floralcat I definitely feel better than the first trimester but still have no energy and being sick occasionally 😂 not sure I'm going to get the pregnancy glow
