Due November after loss

Hi there,
I've started this thread so that mamas who have similar due dates following a previous loss or losses have somewhere to chat and feel supported.

I've been on a November due date thread but I feel there's a huge difference in the mindset of people who have experienced loss and those who haven't - which makes total sense!

We have different worries and milestones to make it past etc, so please join if you need somewhere to chat, rant, vent, or share your worries.

Pregnancy is an anxious time as it is without having previous trauma to contend with. Is it just me, or has all the joy been sucked out of the experience?

Thank you for thinking of me today ❤️ scan went really well. I cried as soon as I saw babies heard beat on the screen. We had a very active baby. Due date moved forward to November 8th. I have another scan in 2 weeks which I’m extremely nervous for but today we got to breath a sigh of relief. Xx

Oh that's amazing news! 💕 and it sounds positive to be measuring ahead too. How far along are you now then? Xx

What a crazy time!
We have our 12 week scan next week! Its come so quick!!!
Everyones dropping around me like flies with a bug🙃
My colleague has gone down with a terrible cold and chesty cough bug! Now my OH has come down with it! My throats feeling a little sore🙃 jheeze! Dont fancy being poorly!
11 weeks and this heat is starting to kill me off🥵
We called his sister yesterday, shes the party organiser! We've asked her to plan our gender reveal! She said shes never done it before so challange accepted🤣
Gender reveal may be on 6th June! So it means a private gender scan😅 as im scared the nhs will just say yes its a boy or yes its a girl. And we wanted the surprise! His sister asked me whether i wanted a baby shower!!🙃 i wasnt even thinking that far along🤣🤣 we've only just started thinking about gender reveals🤣
Count down to our 12 week is on and im honestly scared to death like i just want to cancel it because im that scared🙃

@LER2023 crazy times indeed! Apart from the illness it all sounds very exciting though! How lovely that you've got family that want to do that stuff for you, I don't think mine would even think of it!

I think you can tell the NHS you don't want to be told the gender and they'll write it down for you instead of telling you - but a private scan will get you the info faster for sure! :)

I had my NIPT bloods done on Monday and I think I've coped quite well with the wait till today. We also have the added dilemma of finding out the gender... the NIPT will show us in a separate report that needs a code to access and we should have the results by Friday. BUT we don't think we want to know this early as it's terrifying to imagine who they are and what they'll be like etc when something could still go wrong :( but how do we know we have that information and NOT look at it?! 😅 I've got myself in a right pickle but trying to think about that rather than anything bad showing up in the results.

Sorry you're scared about your scan, it's so hard. I have no advice because I do exactly the same, count down the days then want to run away when it gets closer. So just rest assured it's a totally normal reaction after what you've been through but odds are it'll be good news 💕

@Xwx1010 any news on your NIPT yet? xx

OP posts:
CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 30/04/2025 09:24

Bah, I just realised I can track my blood sample online so I had a look at it's not even been received by the lab yet! 😕

@Pumpkinspice13 @CloudsInMyCoffee09 all good thank you ladies. Baby was on its front stretched out so had to do star jumps to get it moving and wouldn’t sit still then, she had a nightmare measuring it 😂 basic anatomy check ok, fluid behind neck 1.5mm which is good apparently, get results back in a few weeks.
measuring 3 days ahead so DD 8th Nov now - although the 11th is my IVF date which I’ll stick to as it’s special to me (my friends birthday who died a few years back).
couldnt see SCH so hopefully shrunk now! I have a decent sized fibroid but they weren’t concerned. Oh and an anterior placenta so will feel movement later on sadly but can’t tell you how happy i am!!!

@LER2023 best of luck next week lovely.

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 my partner said he didn’t want to do it and we should just let the NHS do its thing 😡 so now we’ve got weeks of waiting, especially if I need the extra testing. But the fluid was a good score so fingers crossed xxx

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 30/04/2025 12:07

@Xwx1010 aw this is wonderful news, i'm so happy for you! 💗Hope you can relax a little bit until your results come back after such a positive scan, and that the reassurance isn't as fleeting as it is with the early scans! Congratulations lovely xxx

So glad it's good news 😄

Xwx1010 · 30/04/2025 12:26

thank you so much @SnakebitesandSambucas and @CloudsInMyCoffee09 xx

Pumpkinspice13 · 30/04/2025 12:31

Amazing news!! So glad everything went well, fluid measurements sounds very positive, hopefully your results come back low risk. Must be such a relief that the SCH looks like it’s gone. The Star jumps and baby on their front had me laughing. Xx

Pumpkinspice13 · 30/04/2025 12:32

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 did the company state which lab they send too? I know some use uk labs but other send to USA. Hopefully it will arrive soon xx

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 30/04/2025 13:05

@Pumpkinspice13 it's called Concepto Diagnostics, it's in London by the looks of it. Just had an alert saying my sample arrived in the lab. Really didn't need something else to keep refreshing when I'm meant to be working 😅

Pumpkinspice13 · 30/04/2025 13:27

Greay news, hopefully you will have your results very soon!!

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 30/04/2025 15:09

Thanks, I hope so! Although I just found out that although the clinic told me probably by Friday and maximum of five working days, the lab processes results within five working days of receiving the sample - so I potentially have to wait till next Wednesday if they only got it today. Going to have to give my head a wobble and put it to one side so I don't go mad / drive people around me crazy xx

Xwx1010 · 30/04/2025 15:40

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 oh no that’s so frustrating especially when it’s so expensive. Really hope you get your results soon and they are all good xxx

InvisibleDragon · 30/04/2025 15:54

Just wanted to give a little update: had my 20 week scan today and everything is fine. Found out we are expecting a little girl.

I have an anterior placenta but it's not near the cervix. And amazingly, I've been feeling movement every day for the last week or so (and intermittently since about week 14), when I'm sure I felt barely anything with DS until after the scan!

Pumpkinspice13 · 30/04/2025 16:22

Wonderful news @InvisibleDragon ! That’s great you are feeling movements from baby ❤️

SnakebitesandSambucas · 30/04/2025 17:28

@InvisibleDragon 🎉🎉🎉 so happy for you x

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 30/04/2025 18:17

@InvisibleDragon aw congratulations! Such lovely news 💕💕💕 do you feel any less anxious now you can feel movement? 🥰

MaudePie · 30/04/2025 19:03

Really great news @Pumpkinspice13 , @Xwx1010 and @InvisibleDragon! So pleased to hear so many positive outcomes. I hope you all feel a bit less anxious (and I hope that I can start to feel the same!).

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 fingers crossed for your results soon - I was given a similar timeline but actually heard back two business days later, which was amazing.
