Due November after loss

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 11/04/2025 15:31

Hi there,
I've started this thread so that mamas who have similar due dates following a previous loss or losses have somewhere to chat and feel supported.

I've been on a November due date thread but I feel there's a huge difference in the mindset of people who have experienced loss and those who haven't - which makes total sense!

We have different worries and milestones to make it past etc, so please join if you need somewhere to chat, rant, vent, or share your worries.

Pregnancy is an anxious time as it is without having previous trauma to contend with. Is it just me, or has all the joy been sucked out of the experience?

@KT199 I'm glad your scan went ok. I had sickness beyond losing my previous pregnancies it does cast a tint on the symptoms. I did consider switching hospitals but kept with ours as I can have most of my care at the local cottage hospital away from the epu.

@HLouise94 with my first I probably started feeling something not quite recognisable as kicks but the start of something like kicks around 16 weeks they mostly felt like digestive gurgling and probably more distinctive around 20 weeks. It was around 20 weeks this time around when it went to oh yes that's some movement. I have an anterior placenta this time around but once they movements started they have been fairly similar to when I had my daughter with a posterior placenta. I'm now 22 weeks and the last few days I have started to get loads more movements. I think this morning was the first time I could feel them from the outside

Thanks @Bellabubble yes it's a good plan. It was the main reason we have a 5 year age gap. It has taken time for us to feel equipped to cope with it again. It was a really bad time with my first the circumstances with the pandemic and both sets of parents isolating due to extremely vulnerable family members so hopefully this time around the circumstances would be better even if I get unwell again

Xwx1010 · 29/05/2025 15:58

@HLouise94 im 16+ but have anterior placenta so not expecting to feel anything for a while. I’m feeling techy again and my scan was only 7/10 days ago!! Not sure I can wait for 20 on the 23rd June 😭I’ll speak to consultant Monday and ask for something interim given the bleed last week too x

Are you under a specialist consultant? I think it would definitely help if you had a scan in between! The wait between scans so horrible isn’t it! 🙈

It must be really stressful having a SCH giving you all these symptoms! As if being pregnant isn’t anxiety inducing enough. How many weeks are you? I really hope that it resolves soon so that you can settle a bit. Do you have a scan on Sunday? That will hopefully give you peace of mind xx

Im currently 15 weeks and 5 days!😬
I found i had a SCH at 13 weeks and now im waiting for it to pass🫠
The brown discharge hasnt been heavy thankfully, im just sick of seeing it😅 i just want a healthy no problem pregnancy. Seems like thats not going to happen.
Yes! We're finding out the gender on Sunday, so thats exciting! But im just nervous about what may come up in that scan!🙃 i feel like i'll always be nervous for scans now. I have one coming on sunday, i have my 20 week scan on 30th of June and i have a 30 week scan at some point that theyre meant to be booking me in for... yet theyre all terrifying me🤣

I hope you're doing well, it seems like you're maybe around 2 days behind me! X

Yes but I haven’t met them yet this is my first appt. It’s prob due to multiple losses inc ectopic, bleeding from 6 weeks on/off, SCH, fibroids and the fact it’s an IVF pregnancy. I’m also older at 38. I mean that’s just my guess I don’t really have any health issues and neither do family.

I’ll definitely ask, I was doing much better too but that bleed last week has knocked me.

Pumpkinspice13 · 29/05/2025 23:10

Sorry, I’ve been a bit quiet, I’ve been trying to keep busy.

Good luck for your scan on Sunday @LER2023

Pumpkinspice13 · 30/05/2025 10:01

I’m doing better this last week, the anxiety hasn’t been as bad. I’ve been keeping busy with the house and garden which has helped a lot, also I lowered my dose of progesterone this week and I’ve been sleeping so much better. My bump has popped and it’s give me hope baby is growing in there 🩷 I have a reassurance scan on weds to check baby is doing well.
Hope you guys are doing well!? Xx

Its amazing when you see your bump pop!
Mines popped too, thats all i keep hearing from people 'oh you've popped! This is so exciting for you'
Like yes, its exciting until my jeans cant be buttoned🤣
Ive had to take the day off work because the electric keeps blowing🙃 currently waiting on an engineer🙂 fun times.
So instead of doing naff all we're starting to work on babys room so we're not leaving it until last minute and we can just buy all their stuff for their room later on and not have to worry about decorating it.. so thats my job today.

Still bleeding brown, but since my SCH, im kinda expecting it as im guessing its just the haematoma coming away now.

My OH said if im so worried about sunday i should just cancel it. But then i dont want to cancel it because its still that reassurance!!

Is anyone else nearing 16 week and still exhausted like the first trimester? I dont feel like i need to nap anymore, but i still feel really tired. I dont know whether thats a progesterone side effect either!🫠

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 30/05/2025 10:40

@Pumpkinspice13 glad you're doing better this week. I haven't been sleeping great either, I didn't realise progesterone could be the cause! How far along are you now?

My bump has popped too haha but people at work don't know yet so that's a daily struggle to hide it 😅 I really need to tell them but it's hard to get both bosses in the same place at the same time and I just hate these kinds of conversations!

@LER2023 we're starting to sort baby's room too! Although we've had a right carry on working out which room he should get... we've eventually agreed my DP will be downgraded to a smaller office/game room because we originally gave my DS the small room at our old house and quickly realised he'd need more space so ended up decorating twice, one whilst pregnant, once whilst on mat leave during his naps haha. So probably for the best we just give him the bigger room straight away!

I'm 15+2 and still so tired. I really need to exercise because I've piled weight on and want to be healthy throughout but all i'm managing is pilates and yoga at the moment. Also I feel like my bump is bigger than some of the women in class who are in the third trimester... not sure if that's in my head, bloating, or chonk from eating only beige for three months! xx

@LER2023 it’s lovely that everyone is so excited for you.
Have you tried taking all plugs out of the sockets? My mother in law had an air freshener that was making her electric blow, no idea why it was causing it.
Enjoy the redecorating, don’t push yourself too hard!!
The scans are very nerve wracking and cause a huge amount of anxiety before them but that little bit of reassurance is so worth the stress!

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 My bump is exactly the same, I’m very round considering baby is so low down. Mines a mix of chonk and baby 😂
Im 16+6 today, I’ve been on lower dose of progesterone for 5 days and feel so much better already, it was defo making me a lot more tired and I was having very vivid nightmares which have stopped now.

Anyone having any cravings? At the minute Im craving salads and burgers. I’m not craving anything sweet or exciting, not that it’s stopped me snacking. Xx

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 30/05/2025 12:45

Oh we did the same with all our plugs and worked out that the dishwasher was tripping everything!

Aw lovely, weirdly, I normally have very vivid and frequent nightmares but i'm not really dreaming so much since being pregnant. Did your midwife lower your dose at your 16 week check in? I see mine next week so wonder what she'll suggest.

I'm not having any cravings, I'm less into my food than I was which is probably a good thing as i've stopped having two lunches 😂Good that one of yours is salad though! I do still keep getting a need for something sweet, and if i feel too tired i feel nauseous and need noodles! xx

LER2023 · 30/05/2025 12:49

Ahhh we worked out it was the toaster...

So cancelled the engineer🙃

God houses are just expensive and ridiculous🤣 new toaster and kettle on their way as we speak!

We have 2 double rooms, so main one is ours and the other bedroom is a little smaller than ours, but not by much😅

Its a pain to decorate it though. We had it all plastered thankfully but now its just painting it.

My OH has a bright idea that he wants to paint the toilet again... only did it like a year ago and its already white.. but he wants to freshen it up🙃

Ive given up with the idea of trying to exercise, ive put just under 2kg on, but im putting that down to baby growing, although ive put that on in 4 weeks😅
Im not complaining as ive said when baby comes i'll just take my fat suit off and i'll work on my bod again🤣

Pumpkinspice13 · 30/05/2025 13:11

I was prescribed my progesterone through tommys and when I had my initial appointment was told what my dose would be and told it would be until 34 weeks. I’m under early prevention/fetal wellbeing now and was told that I could stop taking progesterone at 16 weeks or take a lower dose for a while to help with anxiety. I’m now really worried they will stop me taking it soon but I still have a months worth of progesterone for now. My midwife appointment was moved to the 4th and I also have my scan that day.

Glad you managed to work it out and didn’t have to pay out for an engineer.
At least it got you the day off work and was the perfect excuse to work on baby’s room.

LER2023 · 31/05/2025 19:46

Ive not taken my progesterone today as im now 16 weeks!

I feel so strange that ive not had it today😬

Hows everyone getting on?

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 01/06/2025 07:36

Aw that's another little milestone to check off @ler2023 💕 hope it's not causing you any anxiety and you can enjoy losing that extra sogginess haha.

I'm OK thanks but yesterday I was soooo sick and had a head ache and nose bleed so not sure what's going on there.

I also have a bit if a random problem at work I could use some advice on but it might be a bit of a long winded explanation! 😔 xx

Ohhh ive read that its the second trimester troubles! I hope you're feeling better soon.

Whats happening at work? You can have a vent im sure we'll be able to help or if you wanted to DM me then please feel free to i'll try and support as much as i can x

LER2023 · 01/06/2025 09:19

Also to add.. my brown discharge/brown bleeding has stopped since i stopped progesterone. Should have put it up the bum for the rest of the time. Its been a week or so since its been happening. But now ive come off them. nothing... so im pretty pleased with that!

I was awake since 4.10 this morning up and down because ive been so nervous.
My DP woke up and went are you okay? You've been wriggling around a lot why not try and get some more sleep? I was like i cant sleep right now. Think im going to get up have a hot chocolate (my coffee replacement right now) and sort some washing out. He went are you thinking a lot about today and i just burst into tears.
Its the same place they said i was carrying a healthy sack and then i miscarriaged the week after because it wasnt so healthy.
So im nervous im going to have some really bad news today, i hate feeling like this when its meant to be the best day! We're meant to be finding out whether baby is a he or a she so we can stop calling baby 'baby' or 'they'! But i cant get the bad thought out of my head!

KT199 · 01/06/2025 10:16

Thinking of you today @LER2023, hopefully having a positive experience will help a little. I must admit I’ve even changed hospitals from where I had my MMC surgery and won’t go back to the scan place we used either as I find it too triggering. I’m very lucky I live in a big city so options wise there is a few. I hope you manage today today.

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 hope the work situ isn’t too bad and you managed to get it sorted!!!

Nerves starting already here for my 12w scan Wednesday 😬

Fullofconfusion · 01/06/2025 11:03

Hi ladies,

checking in from a Sun lounger on holiday. I’m now just over 8 weeks and feeling slightly round in some of my holiday clothes. Luckily I have some that fit as I was 20 weeks pregnant last year on holiday with the baby that I lost at 22 weeks. Thankfully the hotel has an extensive mocktail menu that I’m working my way through! And any sickness has disappeared (which of course makes me worry slightly but I know symptoms do come and go and I should be happy that they’re not spoiling my relaxation time).

Everything crossed for you today @LER2023

I have my booking appointment the week I’m back home so that’s exciting!

LER2023 · 01/06/2025 13:25

Everything is perfect! Baby has a lovely strong heartbeat and we managed to get a heartbeat bear!

We've also found we're having a boy💙💙

Pumpkinspice13 · 01/06/2025 13:59

Amazing news, so happy for you!! 💙
