Due November after loss

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 11/04/2025 15:31

Hi there,
I've started this thread so that mamas who have similar due dates following a previous loss or losses have somewhere to chat and feel supported.

I've been on a November due date thread but I feel there's a huge difference in the mindset of people who have experienced loss and those who haven't - which makes total sense!

We have different worries and milestones to make it past etc, so please join if you need somewhere to chat, rant, vent, or share your worries.

Pregnancy is an anxious time as it is without having previous trauma to contend with. Is it just me, or has all the joy been sucked out of the experience?

That’s great news @CloudsInMyCoffee09 so pleased for you!! Xx

LER2023 · 12/05/2025 16:19

Baby is fine and has a heartbeat!
Just a small SCH found which is what was bleeding!
Baby was asleep until they started probing🤣 dont think baby likes being scanned as they proper kick off when theyre being scanned.
But overall a pretty chilled baby!

Xwx1010 · 12/05/2025 16:32

@LER2023
omg great news! I thought it would be this… so pleased baby all ok.
I was more reassured after seeing the SCH as I knew there was a reason for the bleeding then.
how are you feeling?
got my trisomy results back today - 1 in 1380 for downs and 1 in 1500 for Edward’s and pateau (I’m 38)
I’ve got a private scan next week - with my nausea going and not really having a bump I’m starting to doubt anything’s progressing - I know it’s irrational but hopefully get some reassurance next week xx

Superscientist · 12/05/2025 16:58

So pleased you had good scans @CloudsInMyCoffee09 and @LER2023

I had my 20 weeks scan today and we are having a little boy! We've told our daughter this evening. She's very excited!

@Xwx1010 how are along are you? With my daughter it was about 16 weeks I got a bump and this time it was 14 and a half weeks. Zero bump at 14 weeks it just popped up overnight!

So pleased for you, glad all was well with baby. It’s so amazing watching them move around during the scan isn’t it ❤️

MaudePie · 12/05/2025 18:47

Really great news @LER2023, @CloudsInMyCoffee09 and @Superscientist! so pleased for you all.

InvisibleDragon · 12/05/2025 19:12

Lovely updates @LER2023 , @CloudsInMyCoffee09 and @Superscientist !

How is your daughter doing with the news @Superscientist ? We told my DS last weekend and have had lots of questions about whether the baby will play with his toys, how the baby got into my tummy and how long the baby is staying. It's been really cute!

Fullofconfusion · 12/05/2025 19:36

Oh wow lots of scans today!!

amazing news @LER2023I was thinking of you all day. I’m so glad it was good news and baby is doing well.

@Superscientisthow exciting!! We don’t plan to find out what we’re having. I’ll be so curious though. I have a little boy who is 6 so he’ll be hoping for a brother but I’m just desperate for a healthy baby.

@CloudsInMyCoffee09glad your little one is cooking nicely too.

@Xwx1010I bet the results are a relief. We plan to do a private NIPT test as I’m 40 and last pregnancy we had higher risk on the trisomy so had to have the NIPT anyway. This time we feel like we need the reassurance so will have it at 10 weeks rather than waiting for the 12 week scan

Superscientist · 12/05/2025 19:49

@InvisibleDragon she took it really well, she has asked for the next baby to be a sister so we have had to break to her that there won't be another one. We have been talking to her for a while about how we need to look through her toys as some are a bit young for her so she excited to find some toys for him to play with.
She asked whether he would get covered in my food when I ate so we have had to explain human anatomy a bit too!
Both me and my mil had it our head that it was a boy so that was interesting. I could only picture my daughter as a girl but I wasn't sure if that was because I only have sisters, we found out for her too.
I think she will be good with a brother she broadly doesn't like playing with girls and much prefers being around boys. Most of her clothes have always been from the boy section too so we should have quite a few clothes all sorted.

I found out I've got an anterior placenta too I've found movements about the same/slightly less than my first and I had heard that it usually easier with your second so that's reassuring although might add to the stress of later pregnancy. I qualified for late scans at 30+weeks so that will help.

Xwx1010 · 12/05/2025 20:37

@Superscientist congrats on the scan! I’m also in the anterior placenta club! I’m 14+2 today, I look like I’ve had a big meal… my partner and mum think I do have a little bump - I wish I’d taken one before starting stims as it’s really hard to tell. I’m feeling very firm around my uterus - could just be progesterone though who knows! Xx

@Fullofconfusion thank you, hope the nipt goes ok xx

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 yay so pleased scan was positive for you! Xx

Superscientist · 12/05/2025 20:49

@Xwx1010 I was like you at 14+2 it can literally appear overnight. A friend said she wasn't sure if it was pregnancy or unemployment diet so definitely in that large meal bloat at first! It's been much more obvious since 16 weeks. I'm about 2 weeks ahead in terms of bump size compared to when I was expecting my first so whether it's your first can play a role in bump size. Even though I have quite a prominent bump I'm also still in my usual size jeans as it's sitting higher!

Bellabubble · 12/05/2025 21:07

@LER2023 such a relief - I’m so pleased for you!

@Fullofconfusion I’m 41 (only just) but we also decided to have the nipt. Waiting on the results, which they said should be by the end of the week - I feel like I’ll be able to relax a teeny bit more once they are out the way. We also chose to find out the gender this time, just because I want to sort through the stuff I kept - I got a lot of gender neutral for my daughter, but there still some very floral/frilly bits that I want to be able to get onto vinted just to clear space in my loft (and head lol)

Beanie14 · 13/05/2025 07:36

@Fullofconfusion @Xwx1010 @Bellabubble Also in the slightly older club I’m 35 my risks came back as 1:18 for T21 and 1:600 for Patau so we had to have NIPT thankfully all ok though came back low risk but NHs one doesn’t tell you the gender :( so we’re going for a private scan tomorrow for find out gender and just to see baby is ok.
I’m so so anxious with this one, we’ve had a lot going on in this pregagncy, latest thing was the high risk for downs and low Papp-a result. So even though I saw baby at 12 weeks I can’t be satisfied it’s ok in there.

15+3 here and deffo can’t fit into any of my regular trousers! My bump is low but I’m at the is she pregnant or just a bit fat stage. So I have no idea what to wear!

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 13/05/2025 08:33

I'm 12+6 and have gained so much weight! My boobs are gigantic and my tummy is bloated but also a bit chubby from all the beige I had to eat when I was feeling sick. We still haven't told anyone our news so I'm trying my best to hide under baggy clothes at the moment!

We found out the gender from our private NIPT but didn't actually know anything until last night when we let our 2 year old set off a confetti canon in the living room haha - we're having another boy! 💙

OP posts:
CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 13/05/2025 08:35

I've also booked a private scan for 16 weeks just to check in. It's handy that my due date keeps moving forward because it's cutting down all the waiting a bit!

Is anyone on progesterone also taking aspirin? I've heard it mentioned a lot but not sure if I should be taking it... I've messaged my midwife but not sure how long she'll take to reply. xx

This is the best news! Are you happy having another boy?
When i got weighed i was still the same weight! But my boobs feel enormous! Haha
The changes in your body when your pregnant is crazy! Glad you've managed to book one at 16 weeks! Im umming and arring about it as its a private scan and ive always had bad scans🫠
Our 16 week would be at the end of this month and then our 20 week is booked in for 30th of June! Its all coming by so quickly! Theyve told me i'll have another scan at 30 weeks because of my BMI🙃

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 13/05/2025 09:09

@LER2023 yeh we're so excited! It feels a little odd knowing I'll never be a girl mum, but I'll get over that as being a boy mum is so much fun!

I don't pay attention when they say my weight because I'd rather not know, I definitely think I've put on more weight than I should have by now! Now that i'm passed 12 weeks though I'm going to start yoga and pilates classes this week, and I'd like to start going swimming too - it's just fitting it in around a toddler and full-time job!

Aw it's understandable that you feel weird about private scans. I pretty much burst out crying on my way into the hospital yesterday because it was there at the 12 weeks scan we found out about our MMC in November, it all comes flooding back doesn't it. xx

OP posts:
Pumpkinspice13 · 13/05/2025 09:17

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 your not alone, I’ve put so much weight on already. If I wasn’t so chubby I’d actually have a bump 😂
I’m also taking aspirin, I have to take 150mg of aspirin once a day until the end of my pregnancy.
Lovely news you are having another boy 💙

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 13/05/2025 09:26

haha same! I think I look about 6 months pregnant already, it'd be nice to know how big my bump actually is under there 😂I'm starting to eat better now that sickness seems to be over, so hopefully I'll level off and stop piling it on!

Thank you! finally feel like we can be excited now, I know things can still go wrong but I don't want to spend the whole pregnancy anxious and miserable. We've been trying to think of names, which is tricky when we used our favourite for our DS already! haha.

Look at us all hitting the second trimester - it felt a million years away a few weeks ago and now things seem to be speeding up a bit! xx

OP posts:
Pumpkinspice13 · 13/05/2025 09:57

My eating is also getting better now the sickness and nausea has gone. I’m just not moving as much as I need to at the moment. I need to stop driving everywhere but the heat isn’t helping.
I’m glad you feel like you can relax a bit now and be excited! The weeks have flown by.

I have my scan tomorrow at 14+4 with early prevention. I know I’m not sleeping well tonight, my anxiety is through the roof already. Scans make me more nervous 🙈 xx

CloudsInMyCoffee09 · 13/05/2025 10:40

The run up to a scan is awful isn't it. Try and have a self care night if you can, a chill and a pamper help me if I can ever find the time!

I'm the same with needing to walk more too, but when few clothes fit, it's hot and I feel uncomfy and like you look like a bag of laundry, I'd rather hide in my car. I'm looking forward to looking pregnant instead of tubby, and for people to know so i don't make myself look even bigger by trying to hide it haha.

Best of luck for tomorrow, will be thinking of you! 💕

LER2023 · 13/05/2025 11:50

Good luck for your scan tomorrow @Pumpkinspice13 hope all goes well. I didnt sleep on sunday night, but oh my god last night was the best night sleep ive ever had in my entire pregnancy!
The fact that we're in our second trimester is absolutely crazy. I said to my OH yesterday... i dont have a bean... i have a baby!!! Thats crazy! How is that baby inside my body! Its incredible!

Ive been out in the garden today, ive done my front garden as i was getting annoyed every time i walked past it, it was so long😡
And ive sanded our second hand pub bench🤣🤣

I woke up feeling i had tons of energy to do what ive been wanting to do for like 3 months! But now im kinda melted into my sofa wondering why i took that extra energy for granted because now i want a sleep!🤣🤣

Back to work tomorrow! Ive had 2 days off because of the bleeding and i know i need to rest as much as possible, but according to the nurse she said theres nothing you can do about your SCH, just carry on about your day, so ive been out in the fresh air and ive been concentrating on the garden today🤣

Bellabubble · 13/05/2025 12:47

I definitely look like I have a bump and won’t be 12 weeks until Friday lol - but I haven’t put weight on yet this time. I think a lot of my stomach is bloat though - I never had it with my daughter but the not being able to go to the loo so well is a right old hinderance lol!

Bellabubble · 13/05/2025 12:49

@CloudsInMyCoffee09 I’m not on progesterone - but have been prescribed 150g of aspirin from 12 weeks because of my age. I was taking 75g a day from the TWW
