Morning all! Does anyone know what’s happened to the Facebook group?! It’s disappeared and I can’t load any of my notifications from it anymore as it’s just saying content not available. The chat has also disappeared from my Messages 🤷🏼‍♀️

MyGardenDaisies · 29/08/2025 15:18

@sunshineandrain82if all good, can you go home tomorrow or Sunday earliest ? I’ve been told by separate consultants both 24h and 48h minimum

sunshineandrain82 · 29/08/2025 15:19

@MyGardenDaisies plan is to get mobile in morning and cather out. And as long as is well I can go home tomorrow late afternoon. Unless we miss the deadline for sign off then it’s Sunday morning rounds.

37 weeks 3rb baby, booked for csection in 2 weeks. Had a false alarm last night, was getting strong pains in my back for 4 hours. Went to hospital they checked me over and said it's baby's position. So glad I got checked over but dono how ill cope with the pain hate taking paracetamol when pregnant. Very happy it's not early labour

Superscientist · 30/08/2025 09:56

@ThatSnugSwan at 37 weeks I'd take the paracetamol if you need it. I'm on the maternity ward at the moment and if are being offered around like they are sweets! I'm not even in for anything pain related!

sunshineandrain82 · 30/08/2025 09:59

Hay everything is looking good and set to be discharged home today. Day after C-section. They got me up and walking the corridors at 2am. Keeping on top of pain medication but so far no major pain. Just more discomfort then anything

Hello September 😮

Hello we came home Saturday. Worked out I was admitted for 23 hours in total.

recovery is good. Perhaps I’m getting a bit restless though. I’d say definitely keep on top of pain relief. We worked out a schedule and recorded it on a whiteboard with timings as I’ve come home with 5 different medications. To make it easier.

im not experiencing any pain more tenderness then anything to be honest.

MyGardenDaisies · 01/09/2025 09:24

@sunshineandrain82 that is really good!

With my first section I also had pain just when I had walked too much.

Mine is scheduled for Monday, lost mucus plug this morning, so will see if anything else happens before! Can’t wait to be in the newborn baby bubble again 🥰

Good luck for Monday.

I think my current engorgement is worse right now. I have really painful let downs as well. Getting oh to order me some hot therapy pads for them today.

My usual trick of feeding them swapping sides to relieve the other isn’t working. As soon as we swap the other side fills up again and the let downs start again. trying to avoid pumping for now, as even hand expression typically would over stimulate my supply.

ThatSnugSwan · 01/09/2025 11:20

Happy due month ladies 😊 Countdown is on , 15 days to my booked csection. Back pains have eased off after having a false alarm Friday evening.
Congratulations to all who've had their babies 👶

Lou98x · 02/09/2025 08:27

Happy September! Still feeling like my due date is ages away as I don’t finish work until this week! Quite jealous of those of you that have had your babies already - hope those in NICU are doing well ❤️💐

MyGardenDaisies · 02/09/2025 11:09

Thank you @sunshineandrain82 !

Had my last midwife appointment, next is C section on Monday !!! I am buzzing to have this baby, it’s been such a rollercoaster with the threatened miscarriage and so much stress, I can’t wait to hear baby cry and hold him! 🥹😍

Cherry1703 · 02/09/2025 11:17

It's my due date today! I've been cramping since 2am but nothing that's consistent yet.. midwife just did a home visit for normal checks and i've said yes to a sweep for tomorrow xx

Superscientist · 02/09/2025 11:33

My due date isn't until the end of the month but i have had enough and would quite like it if he came tomorrow!
I've got an irritated uterus and have been having contractions for the last 3 weeks and have been in and out of hospital with exhaustion/fatigue. They can't find any causes at the moment. I'd be begging for an induction if I was confident I had the energy to stay awake through labour! The current plan is to induce at 38-39 weeks because of the obstetrics Cholestasis.

I hope you get to hold your little ones soon @MyGardenDaisies and @Cherry1703

sunshineandrain82 · 02/09/2025 11:35

When they tell you to take it easy. Honestly take it easy.

I’ve been feeling great so I got the grand idea to accompany my oh yesterday on one of the school runs. Just going from car to playground and back. Not far. Maybe 15 mins in total with waiting where I sat down..

come last night horrible pains and losing clots. Safe to say I’ve been sat down all morning.

Superscientist · 02/09/2025 11:44

@sunshineandrain82 the difference in what I can manage this week compared to a week and a half ago is unreal!
I was doing 10k steps a day with just a brief lie down when I got home now struggling to do 500 and semi bed bound. I've noticed a bit of an improvement by massively lowering my expectations. My daughters school isn't back until next week but have preemptive arranged for others to do the school run

I have 4 in 4 different schools. My oh is doing all the transporting. I’m just use to being very active. Up till Monday last week I was walking 10 miles a day with my Labrador. I then had him on Friday by c-section.

I’m just getting a bit restless. My previous natural births I was up and walking around London etc by this point. This entire sitting down and doing nothing has me restless.

so thought a 15 min trip wouldn’t do any harm when I’m walking around my own garden in circles because I’m so restless. Now I’ve learnt big different to own garden and a small walk into school

Superscientist · 02/09/2025 12:45

@sunshineandrain82 I can't imagine the logistics of getting 4 kids to 4 different schools!
Take things easy and build up slowly and hopefully you'll be back on the school run soon.
How are things going otherwise?

MrsH26 · 03/09/2025 15:54

@Lou98x
we’re doing ok! Battled sepsis & then needed a blood transfusion.
but we’re in a flat now & getting feeding established. This is the frustrating part though, one Dr comes in & gives you a day for discharge, the next comes in & says not ready for home 🙄 based on opinion, not clinical factors!
psychologically, it’s horrendous! And there’s nothing I can do because it’s not based on anything clinical & if I take own discharge then I get reported to social services! Yet other Dr’s would discharge. Go figure
