Hello! Thought I would start an October thread as technically my EDD is 2nd October. Ivf pregnancy so I know very early at 5dp5dt which is equivalent to 10dpo.

Anyone else know they are due in October yet?

@EEB1989 that sounds soooo frustrating and so sorry you’re having to wait. Did you mention it to your midwife? Worth calling the gynae/ultrasound department to chase up? Leaving it fine to arrange aren’t they! I’d be worried something gone wrong with the system.

@Sunshine924symptoms going up and down triggers anxiety doesn’t it. Horrible isn’t it… I don’t think you’re fuelling your worry at all if you book a scan. It will certainly offer some relief (even temporarily!). Book it 😈

@emmatcc1 did you ever get the Doppler? I know there are some huge debates on them… but I used one in my last pregnancy, and today I found our little ones heartbeat as clear as day for a couple of minutes before it wriggled away 🥰 I know to not use it too often, rely on it for diagnosis or worry if I can’t find it (as not always easy/possible). And it was lovely in my last pregnancy.

In a tepid bath at the moment eating chocolate (how I do miss the hot baths with wine though!!). Spotting stopped yesterday but came back a bit today… feel like I overdid it with walking and housework maybe… makes me feel pathetic!! 9 weeks today… 🤞🏻🌈

@EEB1989 im 11 weeks on Friday and had my booking appointment last Friday and not received anything through yet either. They were quite quick at sorting my booking appointment but I am also nervous I’ve not had anything yet however I do know the midwife didn’t actually send the referral for the scan until the actual booking appointment so hoping I hear tomorrow or Friday otherwise I will chase. Although unsure who I call to chase. xx

@pumpkinpatches22 If you’ve got my pregnancy notes, it should be on there under summary, right at the bottom. It’s for the antenatal unit but I’m sure they will be able to give us the correct telephone number.

@CustardCream31 Which doppler did you use? I got one from shein and couldn’t find the heartbeat but later learned they’re not sensitive enough for this early. I now ordered angelsounds and it should be here tomorrow or the day after.

@emmatcc1ah ok, yeah not sure on the reliability of SHEIN stuff. This is a brand called anawiz - bought it approx 8yrs ago on Amazon when it was allowed.

@CustardCream31 I hope I’ll be able to find the heartbeat with the other doppler. I’m gonna be 11weeks on Saturday and the wait until the next scan is dragging so much. On my Facebook due date group there has been some ladies finding out their baby didn’t have a heartbeat anymore at the 12 week scan and it’s just adding on to the anxiety.

@emmatcc1the wait is awful isn’t it!! And yes seeing other people go through that can be scary… way easier said than done, but try and think positive… crossing my fingers for you 💫 and if you can’t find a heartbeat on the Doppler, please try not to fuel your worry - it can be so hard to find this early. I got lucky!!

Hi @CustardCream31 👋 just wanted to say you’ve given me hope re doppler at 9 weeks! I too have read up and know they’re very controversial! But I used one with my DD from around 16 weeks and it gave me a little necessary comfort after 3 b2b mc’s prior. I’ve been trying for the past 2 days with a brand new one with no luck!! I will say I did google the brand you mentioned and it’s a little more expensive than the one I’m trying so hopefully mine isn’t as sensitive?

My symptoms never really developed and it’s been completely different to my previous pregnancy (HG from 9 weeks) so I’m just sick with worry that something is wrong with this one. Waiting until 22nd for my scan but it seems so far away! Hoping the Doppler might pick something up soon🤞

Hi @RavensMom24 🙂 yes they are deffo controversial… but each to their own if used sensibly, I feel. I just googled my brand too and I’m pretty sure I didn’t pay that much back then!!
It is hard finding a heartbeat this early, so don’t feel disheartened. I only found it for around 45 seconds and then it disappeared 🥰 looks like you and I are only ~1 day apart in dates.

@RavensMom24 thank you. I completely get your worry. I too have had 2 MC in a row. My symptoms have been coming & going but definitely not strong they like were

@CustardCream31 I’ll report back tomorrow if I’ll be able to find the heartbeat. I worry constantly but in the back of my mind I know this pregnancy will turn out just fine.

Good luck for everyone’s scans. I totally understand the symptom anxiety and always wondering if they’re strong enough. The lack of control and the fact that basically everything means nothing is just torture. I got my 12 week scan date through today! 7th April when I’ll be 12 weeks 3 days. Beyond nervous despite 3 good scans already. Feel like my symptoms have been coming and going the whole time and definitely not as strong anymore. Just hope they’re okay in there. Thinking of everyone has we march towards the end of the first trimester!

I’ll be bowing out of this thread now. Had bad news at the scan today. The baby stopped growing a few days after the last scan.
Loss no.3 now. Good luck to you all

@CustardCream31 found the heartbeat today and even heard some kicks. The wait till next scan will be much easier now.

Hope everyone is ok today. Glad it’s the weekend now. Feel exhausted today and was sick this morning again… feel so bloated and gross right now 😩 nothing but leggings fit.

I'm tempted to crack out the maternity jeans this weekend. 3 weeks earlier this pregnancy than the last 😆but it's also because I'm struggling with any sort of tightness around my stomach at the moment.

Have been officially signed off work until the Easter holidays start and GP put me on Xonvea - only got it yesterday though, and while I haven't been sick today, the lowest dose is definitely not enough overall.

I had my dating scan yesterday, I had convinced myself something would be wrong but all is well and there was a tiny, wriggly little person waving at me. My hematoma has resolved which is a huge relief and means I can start the aspirin I need to hopefully keep my BP lower and prevent preeclampsia.

After being 5 days behind at the scan I had at 7 weeks, I’m now actually 12+3 so all caught up and officially through the first trimester. I’ve had one or two days where I’ve had a few hours of feeling reasonably okay with reduced nausea and increased energy so hoping that will get more frequent (rough today, can’t move or speak without gagging). Actually going to tell people to his weekend and explain why they not seen much of me 😂

@squishousdelicious give the xonvea a few more days, unlike some of the other antiemetics it builds up in your system. It's slow release so takes about 5h to get to your blood stream and then has a half life of 12h so there's still some of the last dose remaining when you take the next. After 12h there's half left but you've now got that half on top of the next dose. It always halves rather than reducing by a set amount and after a few days you'll a decent amount left even just before you take the next dose.
