Hello! Thought I would start an October thread as technically my EDD is 2nd October. Ivf pregnancy so I know very early at 5dp5dt which is equivalent to 10dpo.

Anyone else know they are due in October yet?

So happy for you @Sunshine924 and @emmatcc1 !

@Figtree11 and @CustardCream31 I know how you feel, I'm still super anxious every time I go to the toilet! Had a teeny weeny bit of spotting on Sunday after vacuuming a couple of rooms and moving a few things around (not even heavy things!), so I am hoping it's just "overdoing it".

My sickness has appeared in full force over the weekend! Friday night, I just felt very uncomfortable. Couldn't eat all my dinner on Saturday or Sunday and then Sunday night, that was it. GP put me straight onto cyclizine, which appears to be helping somewhat, but I've had yesterday and today off work because I'm just so weak and nauseous. Trying to think of it as a positive sign 😬

SophieP89 · 11/03/2025 19:54

Had an early scan today, thought I was roughly around 7 weeks and measured 6w 5d, nice strong heartbeat and all looks good so far 🥰 Due 30th October x

nicolaj32 · 11/03/2025 20:33

Sorry if iv missed it but has anyone started a WhatsApp group for October 2025 due date mums? :)

fluffyprawn · 12/03/2025 11:30

@SophieP89 congratulations 😊 just had my scan at 7 weeks - measuring 7+1 with a strong heartbeat!

Fingers crossed for everyone else awaiting scans/tests🌸

Sunshine924 · 12/03/2025 12:16

So nice to hear of positive scans 💕 I've been feeling a bit anxious as my symptoms seem to have reduced (as in the nausea has been bad but not awful for the past couple of days) I know it's normal to fluctuate but it's so hard not overthinking things. Also getting caught up on the fact that at one scan I was 5+1 (when I thought I was 6) and then seven days later they said 5+6 I know it's so tiny it's hard to measure but it's hard not worrying it means it's slow growth. I never thought I'd be this worried second time around!

RavensMom24 · 12/03/2025 13:01

Hi ladies

I hope you don’t mind me joining a little late. I am approx 7+1 weeks pregnant today (confirmed via scan last week, saw a little heartbeat at 5+6!).

My DD is turning 1 at the end of the month too. I’m sorry if I have missed but does anyone else have a toddler with their pregnancy lol? I am tired beyond belief😂 but lucky the sickness hasn’t kicked in too much yet but with her I was diagnosed with HG in week 9 and it lasted right up until I gave birth. So I have a lot of anxiety of what’s to come!

I am 8 weeks and I have a toddler and she found it hilarious watching me vomit in the kitchen this morning. I couldn’t stop and couldn’t make the bathroom in time 🙈 it’s a bit dismal isn’t it. But I’m in survival mode this first trimester anything goes with dc1 to survive. Good luck xxx💪🏽

I hear you I am the same my sickness fluctuates and on the days I feel ok I’m worried something is wrong. I think we have to try and trust the process and fluctuations are normal xx

lovelylil · 12/03/2025 17:41

Hi ladies, first-time post, first-time pregnancy :-) I'm 6+6, estimated due date 30 Oct 25, and I have an early scan booked for Saturday.

LilacGrumpyFairy · 12/03/2025 18:55

Hiya,

Hope it’s ok to jump on this thread! I’m 10 weeks and 3 days. I’m due in early October but we found out at an early scan at 8 weeks that we’re expecting twins so they will most likely be arriving in September. Our 12 week scan is in 2 weeks time so waiting game until then. I also hope this nausea settles down then as it’s starting to get me down.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi, we're twinning! I'm 7w1d today as well, and have toddler, though he is almost 2. It is absolutely exhausting, espefislly working on top of it all. I aldo had HG 8n my last pregnancy and was overcome by the sickness over the weekend (earlier than last pregnancy) - what I will say is, get onto the GPs as soon as the nausea starts becoming an issue. A couple of days on medication this week and I'm functioning much more normally - hoping i can avoid the full blown nightmare it caused last time!!!

What is making me sad today is that, whilst I can eat and drink, none of it is even remotely appealing. Not even chips 😔

Came here to ask the same! If there isn’t one I’d love to set one up. I don’t use mums net really but desperate for a due October 2025 WhatsApp group 😂

Is there a FB group, or would anyone be interested? I find WhatsApp groups stress me out with all the notifications and unread messages 🙈

CustardCream31 · 15/03/2025 09:25

Hope everyone is doing ok, and has a nice weekend! 💐

Figtree11 · 15/03/2025 10:58

@CustardCream31 I’m having an anxious morning. Last night was the first night in ages I didn’t feel horrendously ill. Now is around the time my previous pregnancies stopped growing so I’m worried. Hope you have a nice weekend & doing ok

emmatcc1 · 15/03/2025 12:23

I’m 9 week on the dot today and barely any nausea today which is making me a bit nervous. I ordered a fetal doppler that should be here in a week so I can try and find babys heartbeat. Got my next scan in 3 weeks, very excited to see the little one again.

Please please please cancel this order!
Home Doppler's are dangerous. You are highly unlikely to find the heartbeat by Doppler before 16 weeks. Even some midwives have stopped trying to listen to heartbeats by Doppler at the 16 weeks appointment
You probably will struggle to distinguish the difference between your heartbeat, babies heart beat and the placenta
Even if you can identify the heartbeat you won't be able to determine if there's anything concerning or reassuring.
They can give false hope if you do detect the heart beat but there's still something wrong. They can give panic if you can't find the heartbeat.
Really the sale of them should be banned

With my first pregnancy, 13 years ago I bought a fetal heart doppler and it really reassured me! I havnt bought one for this pregnancy as im not sure how safe they are these days! I would only use the doppler once or twice a week for reassurance and didn’t keep it on long! It really did help with my anxiety tho so understand x

fluffyprawn · 15/03/2025 17:03

@ArthienI would be interested in a private FB group!

pumpkinpatches22 · 16/03/2025 09:27

@emmatcc1 I am 9 weeks tomorrow and my nausea has been on/off all week (although definitely has been the worst in week 8 as I’ve progressed to actual vomiting) but it’s only some days I’ve thrown up, others I don’t and it’s a bit of nausea throughout the day that gets worse in the evening. But yesterday I wasn’t sick at all, last night I felt fine and I didn’t even have my usual nap. From my constant manic researching I’ve read that your placenta starts to take over from week 9 so it’s quite normal for symptoms to start to ease and fluctuate a bit more. But I totally get the anxiety of just wanting to feel something all the time for reassurance. My nausea really hasn’t been bad the whole first trimester and the stress is unreal worrying my symptoms aren’t strong enough. Trying to just take it one day at a time, reassure myself that symptoms don’t actually indicate health of the baby and stay positive. Hopefully the next few weeks don’t drag for you and you get to see your beautiful baby soon! Xx

Figtree11 · 16/03/2025 09:48

@emmatcc1 @pumpkinpatches22 I’ve had the same with nausea. I’m 8+4 and spent all day worrying that I didn’t feel sick. Usually it’s worse at night and Friday night I was fine. Then last night I started feeling a bit sick, and when I went to bed I was sick. This morning I’ve a bit of nausea again. It’s so worrying, but seems it’s normal for things to fluctuate
