Hello! Thought I would start an October thread as technically my EDD is 2nd October. Ivf pregnancy so I know very early at 5dp5dt which is equivalent to 10dpo.

Anyone else know they are due in October yet?

@Givemethesun In my country they do the first scan at 8 weeks. And every appointment they do a scan as well. I would not be able to wait until 12 weeks for a scan

Interesting. 8 weeks would be good as it is such a long time to wait! I found out early too 5 days before period so it feels an eternity!

First post, first pregnancy...

6 weeks pregnant today, due 29th October. No symptoms yet; just waiting impatiently for first midwife appointment so that I can find out what's next. Feel in such a state of limbo...

It’s still early for symptoms :) the wait feels so long but hopefully you will have your midwife app which it sounds like you do, and then a scan booked in for c 12 weeks. Otherwise not much happens in the first trimester in terms of appointments!

I'm feeling so sick and tired today 😞 it seems cruel given I don't know what's happening after my scan on Monday showing me as 5 weeks when I'm meant to be 6. I don't know how symptoms could be this strong so early either. Waiting for rescan on Monday really praying it's good news and things have developed

Its awful isn't it. I had hyperemesis with both of my miscarriages, with one it continued for a nearly a week after my loss.

Rest and look after yourself. In my second pregnancy that ended in miscarriage. I was signed off for a month whilst I was going through the early scan process due to sickness and fatigue. I spent it doing self care and looking after myself and I coped so much better with that time and the loss compared to the one a few months earlier when I kept trying to keep going with normal life and ended up in a and E due to fall from dizziness

Is anyone else having daily dark brown spotting? Been like this for 7 days now 😔 can't help but think the worst again, even if EPU scan said they couldn't see a reason for it this time...

Sense of smell/nausea has ramped up the last couple of days though for sure.

Me - I was going to put a similar message on here.
I had a few days of it last week & then it stopped Friday. Then it came back again Tuesday just before my scan & it’s not stopped since. She couldn’t find a reason for it but it’s still freaking me out & I wish it would just stop.
My nausea has definitely got worse over the past week too. I’m 7+1 weeks now

@Figtree11 sorry you're experiencing the same 😔 it's so worrying.... so hard to stay positive!
When is your next scan? 17th for me. Seems ages away!!

@CustardCream31 i’m sorry you’re having it too - it’s very anxiety inducing. I’ve been on progesterone from the start & that’s not stopping it either. But the woman who scanned me was very chilled about it, but it’s hard not to worry. Mines not til the 27th, when I’ll be 10 weeks. My previous losses stopped at 8 and 9 weeks so I’m feeling very apprehensive for the next scan. The wait is awful isn’t it

I’m sending love and best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy to everyone on here who is having to deal with so much uncertainty and anxiety. I’m keeping everything crossed that your next scans are all okay and can give you some reassurance. The waiting and the anxiety is honestly awful- feels like every time there’s something new to worry about.

I had my scan today. Measuring 7w 3 days with a good heartbeat of 145bpm, so right on track which I was so grateful for. They did see a hematoma on the scan as well which is making me anxious. I’ve not had any bleeding and the doctor didn’t seem concerned. Just increased my progesterone from 400mg to 600mg for the next couple of weeks and then wants me to gradually decrease it to nothing between now and 12 weeks. Also told
me not to do any heavy lifting and take it easy and not to worry if I get some spotting . I wasn’t worried initially but stupidly went on google and that’s worried me that the hematoma will increase my risk of miscarriage. I don’t even know how big it is, it looks smaller than the sac but not much… the doctor did say it was “contained” so just hoping it will go away on its own.

I'm sorry to those experiencing bleeding. I'm 10 weeks and I have lost my last two pregnancies at 9-10 weeks so been checking every time too.
I had my booking appointment today and she's going to see if she can get the scan date when she drops off the form rather than waiting for it to come through the post as I could do with it coming through quite quickly!

@Sunshine924 This does seem like a very cruel thing for the universe to bebsending your way. Hopefully it's a positive sign that things are going okay!

@CustardCream31 sorry to hear it's still going! When mine was brown, i just kept reminding myself that it was old blood and that was a more positive thing than when it turned red. Are you pregnant with #2, because apparently your cervix can be damaged/affected during labpur and birth in some situationd and that could make spotting more likely.

I've been feeling inxreasing nausea over the last week. I'm sure in my last pregnancy that i didn't feel any real synptoms until much later (at which point, HG hit me like a steamroller)...

Anyone else feel a small bump already? When I’m standing it’s just bloat but laying down my tummy used to dip in at the uterus are and now it’s slightly raised.

I hope everyone is okay and thinking of all that are that are experiencing bleeding and waiting for scans. It really is a tricky time, let’s try and keep each other going ❤️

@emmatcc1 I've sometimes got a little bump. Mostly bloating I think. This will be my second baby and my friends were showing earlier with their seconds. I'm 10 weeks now.

EDD somewhere around 5 November, but #1 arrived two weeks early, so chances are that this will be an end of October baby, if all goes ok.

Sorry to hear so many have had bleeding or other anxiety-inducing issues. I remember thinking my first was over at 6 weeks as symptoms disappeared, so I went to the private early scan assuming the worst and was astonished to see a tiny heartbeat. I hope you all have similar positive stories in the end.

Currently battling a stinker of a cold, thanks to my preschooler being extra generous with his lurgy as usual 🤧 No fun when I'm stuck with just paracetamol at 2am!

how is everyone doing?

I’ve been experiencing a lot of pressure today. My lower back and hips are feeling so uncomfortable. My skin has also started breaking out recently. Only 2 more days until the scan and I’m getting more anxious every day.

Hello everyone - struggling with nausea here. It’s worse in the evenings so I’ve been in bed by 9pm if not before for the past week.
I’ve my booking appt in a week, and another scan in 2 and a half weeks

evening ladies a bit of a mess here sickness is awful and I have a heavy cold. Fed up of being stuck in bed and having absolutely no energy. I’m normally a gym bunny so it’s getting me down being like this!! I know I shouldnt complain but I don’t feel myself at all!! Roll on October 🤣

@Figtree11 @Givemethesun also struggling with awful sickness here! Mine is all day but worst in the morning and evening. Bedtime for me is 8pm these days. I can't believe I'm only 6 weeks I don't know how many more weeks of this I can handle. I've got my repeat scan tomorrow after the one last week showing me a week behind. Just praying things have developed - surely the ramping up of symptoms must count for something

Just joining in with the sickness moaning 😂 It’s had me in tears today. I can barely speak because of it.
I’m not being sick but the nausea is relentless and I’m gagging an awful lot. It’s miserable.
