Hi all! Didn’t see an August thread yet so here we go.

I got my BFP today and my EDD is 2nd of August next year.

I’m 37 and this is my second baby, I have a son who’ll be 2 next month.

Morning!
I am cautiously coming over from our TTC group- I see @KT199 has moved across too 🩷

I’m 31 this month and this is baby no3- 4 weeks tomorrow (aged 12&3). I was trying for 3 months and my first 2 cycles were CPs, however a little more optimistic this time as I’ve now had 3 days of positive tests which are progressing. My CPs were short lived and no progression- but still being cautious for my own sake not to get too excited!

based on LMP I am due 18/8, but by ovulation more like 20/8.

Both my children are august babies so it’s already an expensive month for me!!

@KT199 I didn’t start getting dye stealers on my easy@home amazon cheapies until last week when I was 5+ weeks so I wouldn’t worry! I do understand with the regular testing though, it’s just nice to see it’s there! I’ve only just stopped.

Wow my morning sickness has really ramped up. I feel nauseous pretty much throughout the whole day but I’m gagging now in the mornings and last night was also pretty bad. Wondering if this’ll be it or if I’ll actually be sick. I wouldn’t mind if that settled the nausea for a while. Anyone got any tips??

@DragonflyRuby yes, think I’m getting a little too obsessed by it, silly me. No tips on the nausea front sorry, I’ve not had any as of yet!

@KT199 Definitely not silly! I said to my DH that it’s the only way I feel like I can “see” the baby. I need a little porthole in my belly button 😂

My nausea has kicked up a new level this weekend but I can’t throw up! I don’t know what’s worse as I’m not getting any relief! What helps me a little bit is an ice cold drink or some mint sweets. I am absolutely hating chicken at the moment. I spent two hours cooking on Friday only feel absolutely sick at the thought of eating it! Such a waste 😩

ladies just thought i would ask.. its been 6 days now until i last took a clearblue digital which said 1-2 weeks, well took one today in the hope i should of got a 2-3 result, but instead it was a 1-2 :/ panicking a little as i have 3 recurrent misscarriages in past(secondary infertility) 🤦🏻‍♀️ soo yeah my mind is going into overdrive, my last period was 8th November, 4+2 today.. anyone experienced similar?

@Mummyto5XXXXX CB digital are notoriously unreliable. I’d give it until 5 weeks to see if it changes.. you could’ve just tipped in to the “1” 6 days ago. Fingers crossed for you x

Hello, cautiously moving over from the TTC threads, as I’ve had a BFP this weekend.
I’m quite nervous as my last pregnancy ended in loss earlier this year, which does kind of take away the excitement of this one a bit, just adds a bit more worry.
Also worried as my last pregnancy had no symptoms and neither does this one so far. With my first (DS is now 21 months), I had such sore boobs at this point. So it does worry me that this pregnancy may follow the course of the last one.
But, trying to be positive and actually hoping for some symptoms!

I've started to have very light brown discharge this evening. I'll try not to worry, as I had not only this but 2 very big bleeds with my son, and all was always fine - but it's hard not to worry a little bit! My scan on Christmas Eve can't come quick enough😑

i’ve had this, and it’s gone, it was to the left as well. It’s practically gone now or more central when I do feel it. Try not to worry but obviously get checked if you feel you need to! Xx

had some big plans the last week so wasn’t able to keep messaging.

just wondering if anyone else has had any days around week 5 where symptoms seem to fade a bit? Today I don’t ‘feel’ pregnant - like boobs are a bit sore but not as much as they have been, and no cramps…. It just worries me a bit that I expected to ‘feel’ something every day. No bleeding or anything, just worried i’m not sensing much today…. However the smell of sausages cooking this morning did make me feel a bit icky! Haha.

also would love to be added to a whatsapp if allowed :) This is such a lonely journey at the start isn’t it! Xx

am sure it’s nothing to worry over, as you said it’s something you’ve experienced before, but still sending love & crossing fingers for you.

Anyone else have very intermittent nausea? I’ve felt it on and off today, managed a Sunday lunch fine but just now have had to leave the table as the sight of glistening pasta with sauce was making me want to vomit! I think I’m 6+2 from my dates.

Also anyone else’s booking appointment quite late? Mine isn’t until 3rd Jan which puts me at 10+4 by NHS dates. I’m not reassured by the NHS website “you should have an appointment before 10 weeks, some tests should be done before 10 weeks” - does anyone know why?

I’m the same today, feels less shattered, although nipples are still a bit sensitive. I’ve just done another small pregnancy test to see if the line is darker and it is, so it’s put my mind at ease a bit :) I’m 4 +5 from LMP.

I’m not home to try tests due to storm :( but hoping to be back tomorrow to retest and know all is OK! Just strange not to feel much! Maybe I should just make the most of it haha. I’m 5 weeks & 3! 🥰🥰xx

This is from my pregnancy screening tests booklet (NHS Scotland) - hope that helps! I think around 10 weeks is fine for the first set of bloods. My booking appointment I'll be 12 weeks!

Hi everyone, got my positive yesterday at 10DPO so tentatively joining! This is baby number 2 & I am so exhausted to the point of not being able to keep my eyes open!

Not due my AF until Friday so I've got a long week to wait 😅 will be due 23rd August! X

@Emelene I’m also 6 + 2 today and my booking appointment isn’t until 6th Jan! I phoned them to check that it was ok as I’ll be over 10 weeks and they just said it’d be fine. Also I asked when I’d get a scan appointment and she said it won’t be booked in until I’ve had my booking appointment so feel like the wait is going to be looooong!

It’s such a lonely journey at this stage, I’ve only told one friend (I was convinced I was the only one seeing the second line and I knew she wouldn’t blab) and my husband, seeing friends and family this week has been hard, we’re gonna surprise our families on Xmas day and no one else until 12 weeks. I had a close friend lose a baby at 11.5 weeks after telling everyone so been super wary since that. I keep seeing my positive tests and other than stomach cramps no real symptoms so it doesn’t feel real yet !!

Can I ask how long ago your self referral went in?

I'm 7+3 based on LMP and not heard a peep about any appointments yet!

Just checking in as I’ve had an insanely busy weekend celebrating my little boy turning 2!

The exhaustion has ramped up a shocking amount in the last couple of days. I’m also feeling the cold a lot more than normal, anyone else?

YES. I haven’t been very well either which hasn’t helped but with the cold, i’m properly shaking and it’s taking ages to warm up! I have been wearing fluffy socks to bed!!

(PS - after posting above minimal symptoms, little bean must have sensed it as for about an hour now, I feel sick as a pig and my boobs have gone like solid lumps!!!) xx

@JW24M I find symptoms seem to ebb and flow a bit. My boobs are always a bit tender, but some days I feel otherwise normal and others I’ll feel car sick/have a constant headache

The past couple of days though I’ve felt cold and exhausted and achey…. Like you might right before flu fully kicks in except that’s not happening!
