Hi all, just wanted to start a new thread to use once the old one fills up. I'm due 03/06/2025 and currently 11 weeks exactly. Looking forward to first trimester being over! Has everyone booked in their booking appointments yet/got dates for the 12 week scan?

Here's a link to the old thread for book keeping: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/5171110-due-june-2025

Hi is anyone up for a meeting in north or central London?

DramaticFridge · 21/01/2025 12:01

Sorry love I am Bristol based which is a little far for me! 🤣

jlverity · 21/01/2025 12:33

Ooh I could be! I’m in Bexleyheath, SE London

Crump3tCrav1ngs · 23/01/2025 16:14

Afternoon all! I finally had my 20 week scan today at 21+3. Despite baby's best efforts to be awkward they managed to see everything eventually and all looks healthy. They also confirmed that we are indeed having another little girl! 🩷

As DD1 was consistently above the 90th centile and was 9lb 2oz, and as DH was a 10lb+ baby, we were surprised to hear that baby is measuring on the smaller side (24th centile) but happy to know it's nothing to be concerned about.

mariiaa · 24/01/2025 22:17

I'm only taking vitamin D and in first trimester I was taking folic acid.
Do you think it's ok? Is anyone taking some vitamins?

Madden21 · 24/01/2025 22:29

@mariiaa I'm taking the healthy start vitamins which includes vitamin c, d and folic acid

SaturnSparks · 24/01/2025 22:33

I’m taking Seven Seas Pregnancy 2. It’s two tablets a day.

Omega-3 DHA and Folic Acid, Iron, Vitamins B6 and B12

xMrsxHx87x · 25/01/2025 08:16

I was taking multivitamins but I hated the taste. I'm now taking dispersible vit c (which I've always taken, I swear by it - haven't had a sick day since being floored with COVID 3 years ago), vit d, omega 3 and iron (I'm almost 21 weeks).

BertLiv · 25/01/2025 08:38

@mariiaa I’m taking Pregnacare original, which apparently contains all the vitamins I need.

jlverity · 25/01/2025 13:01

I’m taking pregnacare too, but you really don’t need to - folic acid and Vit D is all any medical guidance recommends - the rest is marketing really! (Which yes I’m aware I’m falling for haha)

dmb91 · 25/01/2025 14:04

@mariiaa I'm only taking vitamin D now, stopped folic acid at 12 weeks same as my first pregnancy

I'm only taking vitamin D too. I asked my midwife about it and she said that was the most important vitamin at the moment. I have tried to take general pregnancy vitamins but anything with iron in made me really constipated so I went back to vitamin D!

@Crump3tCrav1ngs Congratulations on a good scan! Lovely to hear all these good scans rolling in, fingers crossed that it goes well for everyone who's left!

In terms of vitamins I'm using these - https://drvegan.com/products/pregnancy?currency=GBP&variant=40630730162314&stkn=9e57b2e22e19&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=*G-FeedOnly-Pmax-MOF-UK&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA57G5BhDUARIsACgCYnxS7-6twvIJf7_gKNxnklJJSpIsPdhfEj1braxZQ5C8ZGPDAvmSfs0aAtYtEALw_wcB. Have had no fault with them so far and I love the fact they contain no additives.

We had our 20 week scan today and, despite our little one doing everything to avoid being photographed, all is well! So relieved! And felt quite a few bumps from the outside last night, which was exciting!

And…we’re having a boy! 💙

Is anyone else absolutely ravenous all the time. My nausea has finally completed passed (23 weeks), but I am hungry all of the time. Had a GIANT bowl of pasta at 12.30 and I am starving again.

jlverity · 31/01/2025 17:53

Yes! I’m a bit worried it might point to gestational diabetes but hopefully not and it’s just normal haha!

I should also point out 12.30 was lunch and now is a totally reasonable time for dinner so sounds totally normal to me 😂

jlverity · 31/01/2025 17:56

Oh wait that was at 2.45pm hahaha

SaturnSparks · 31/01/2025 19:53

Baby is super active this week (22 for me). My husband felt him from the outside for the first time this morning!

And on the appetite thing, I was SO hungry around 18-20 weeks. Wouldn’t stop eating. 😂Balanced out a bit now, but still could eat loads more if I caved

Swear my baby doesn't stop moving now. Lol! She's very active as soon as I sit down. Can even see it from the outside. And some movements really hurt lol! Very different to my first who was very chill. My appetite has also got really bad and I have to eat through out the day. Which is a nice change coz 2 weeks ago I had to force myself to eat thanks to food aversions!

codemytea · 03/02/2025 16:20

@BertLiv Huge congrats! Welcome to team boy :)

I've had two strangers ask me when I'm due this week which was incredibly strange! I really didn't think I was showing yet but apparently so...

I'm also starting to get huge movements, DH has been feeling them from last week and he got the first kick to his face this morning :)

Has everyone had their 20 week scans or are there still some people waiting on them?

I've got my 24 week appointment this Friday, so it's all starting to feel really real - especially with baby kicking so much!

Is anyone else just constantly poorly? I was taken into hospital two weeks ago for a viral infection which wiped me out for four days and now I am on day 5 of a migraine with sinusitis. The doctors have put me on migraine tablets but they’re doing nothing, I’m just in constant agony and told to try and ride it out

Im waiting for mine.. its this Thursday but will be closer to 21 weeks! Its so hard waiting it out 🥲

BertLiv · 04/02/2025 12:14

@codemytea thank you! It must be nice that it’s now becoming real! I’m feeling lots of bumps each day, but still doesn’t quite feel real!

@ThisElatedMintDreamer Sorry you’ve been so unwell. I get a lot of headaches, and am getting lots of eczema, but not too bad luckily.

@CAM8891 Hope all goes well on Thursday - not long to wait now!

In case anyone needs one, we bought a car seat yesterday as Silver Cross are having a big sale. We didn’t intend to buy so early, but it was such a good deal!

SaturnSparks · 04/02/2025 15:36

I’m trying to see if I can notice a pattern for movements. I’m 22+4 and I usually feel him move early morning, 3pm, and then evening time. He seems quite active on some days, but today he seems pretty quiet so I’m a little nervous!

Anyone noticed any patterns yet? I know it’s still quite early

jlverity · 04/02/2025 18:36

Oh morning and evening for sure and other than that just feels a bit random / if I change position or squash him (when sitting on toilet for example hahahaha!)
