Hi all, just wanted to start a new thread to use once the old one fills up. I'm due 03/06/2025 and currently 11 weeks exactly. Looking forward to first trimester being over! Has everyone booked in their booking appointments yet/got dates for the 12 week scan?

Here's a link to the old thread for book keeping: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/5171110-due-june-2025

Great to see more good scans!

@xMrsxHx87x Good due date - it's my birthday!

Just had our screening results back and they are low, which is good. But, they have said that my PAPP-A level is low and so I have to take 150mg of aspirin each night, which luckily I was doing already as the midwife obviously suspected I might need to. Is anyone else doing this? If so, has it made you feel sick at all? I thought it was due to a few nights of rich meals, but I've been feeling sick in the evenings after supper, which wasn't happening before, and the only thing I can think it might be is the aspirin!

DramaticFridge · 06/12/2024 12:31

the midwife said that I would need to be prescribed Asprin due to my weight and Age but I have been to the chemist and there is no prescription for me despite it being on my NHS app so all very confusing! I need to call the Drs and find out whats going on so this has reminded me to do that!

Mine took ages as well as the GP surgery forgot to put it through - even after I called! But glad I managed to help by reminding you!

Glad everyone has had such good scans!

Can anyone make sense of my results for me? In badger app it says ‘Edwards and Patau’s chance : 1 in 5000 low chance. PAPP-A not recorded MoM’ it then says exactly the same for Downsyndrome. I understand the low chance part, but it is the ‘PAPP-A not recorded MoM’ that I don’t understand?

Stef92 · 06/12/2024 13:32

@BertLiv what PAPP-A score did you get?

BertLiv · 06/12/2024 13:40

Stef92 · 06/12/2024 13:32

@BertLiv what PAPP-A score did you get?

She didn't say, she just said it was low, and it hasn't been uploaded onto my Badger Notes yet.

Stef92 · 06/12/2024 13:48

@BertLiv ah right, mine is 0.78 MoM - no idea what that means but I've not had a phone call

BertLiv · 06/12/2024 14:15

@Stef92 I expect that means yours is fine, and I’ve just googled it and it says ‘Low PAPP-A levels are defined as less than 0.415 MoM’

BertLiv · 06/12/2024 15:31

@Stef92 My results have been uploaded and mine is 0.414, so it seems to be just past what they define as 'low', which I guess is good.

My Down's result was 1 in 10370, and my Edwards and Patau's was 1 in 11123.

codemytea · 06/12/2024 15:33

Just got my early bloods back - got a high neutrophil count, anyone know what this means?

Also, has anyone started to feel a bump? I had something hard round my bikini line from week 11 but after that really awful cramping last week it's now just under my belly button and definitely a little bump - thanks to all that suggested it was round ligament pains I was getting, since it certainly seems to have been that!

Congrats again for all the positive scans!

Hi all, I got my screening results back a couple of days ago and got 1 in 550 for Downs. I was expecting it to be a lower chance than this as I'm 28 and the nuchal measurement at the scan was 1.7mm.
The letter said this is low but I can't help but worry 🫠

MittensForKittens123 · 06/12/2024 16:45

@iridescentbloom the limit for low risk is anything better than 1:151, so it’s a lot better than that. I do understand your worry though - mine is 1:558. We are going to get NIPT testing done as well - it’s £250 at Window to the Womb near us, but there might be online places that are cheaper. Might be worth considering if you can afford it, if it puts your mind at ease.

xMrsxHx87x · 06/12/2024 21:28

@BertLiv I'm taking aspirin, right before I go to sleep so it doesn't affect my stomach at all. Maybe try taking it a little later in the evening to see if that helps?

BertLiv · 06/12/2024 22:17

@xMrsxHx87x thanks. My packet says to take with or just after food, which is why I was having it just after supper. But, if it keeps happening, I may try taking it later. So far tonight I feel alright - so may have been the three nights of rich food and nothing to do with the aspirin!

Anyone else feeling knackered but still waking up early hours of the morning?

Also, is it possible to have the Facebook and WhatsApp group links again. Thanks!

Oh yes. Exhausted on an evening, struggle to keep my eyes open. Wake up at 2am until 3.30am every night. It's exhausting.

MittensForKittens123 · 07/12/2024 07:11

@xMrsxHx87x I’m glad it’s not just me! I’ve been going to bed at 9.30, and then away 4-5am, then I feel like I’ve barely been asleep again when toddler wakes me up at 7

BertLiv · 07/12/2024 08:48

@MittensForKittens123 I’m either waking up and staying awake or just waking up multiple times! My stonking cold isn’t helping!

Anyone else getting a lot of headaches?

Yes! I’m walking up every day at 5am without fail with hunger nausea. I try and have some peanut butter and cheese and go back to bed but it’s hard to get back to sleep.

Angelselevenx · 07/12/2024 18:46

@BertLiv I was, only the last few days has it stopped. I'm 13+1 today and have found that starting the day off with a cup of tea (caffeine) has actually helped keep them at bay as I haven't had coffee for months

MittensForKittens123 · 07/12/2024 18:59

@Angelselevenx that’s a good idea! I had a bottle of irn bru the other day and it made my headache go away - thought it was a coincidence, but maybe not Xmas Smile

Angelselevenx · 07/12/2024 19:25

@MittensForKittens123 it's got to be related 😂, if it gets bad in the afternoons I'll have a pepsi max. Really treating myself these days 😆

BertLiv · 08/12/2024 00:11

@Angelselevenx how interesting. I know you can have 2 cups a day, but I stopped drinking caffeinated tea and coffee as soon as I had my transfer, but normally any headaches to do with that are gone in a few days. I’ve got a stonking cold at the moment and my sinuses are blocked, so I wonder if that’s the reason but, if it’s not, I may try having a bit of caffeine each day. Thank you!

Hi all, can I join? Would love a link to the Facebook group too!

Im 40, due date 27th June 2025, so 11+2. Dating scan on Wednesday, nervous! I want to have an NIPT test, is it worth doing this before the dating scan do you think so I get the results at the same time roughly? Don’t want to have to wait for ages if the blood tests on Wednesday say there a high chance of downs etc!
