Hi all, just wanted to start a new thread to use once the old one fills up. I'm due 03/06/2025 and currently 11 weeks exactly. Looking forward to first trimester being over! Has everyone booked in their booking appointments yet/got dates for the 12 week scan?

Here's a link to the old thread for book keeping: https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/5171110-due-june-2025

@Angelselevenx, @ThisElatedMintDreamer and @Stef92 excellent news about the scans! Looking forward to plenty more similar posts, if I remember right there's quite a few booked this week!

codemytea · 02/12/2024 18:44

@ThisElatedMintDreamer The skull on your ultrasound looks like ours and ours turned out to be a boy!

My pics are sooo bad from the scan due to the little fidget showing off 😂 I've tried to compare to my son's 12 week scan and there are similarities so think we are having another boy.

BertLiv · 03/12/2024 08:27

Wonderful news about all the scans!

dmb91 · 03/12/2024 14:14

Has anyone had their screening results back?
I've got 1 in 617 for Down's syndrome. 617 doesn't feel like a very high number to me and now I'm wondering if I should consider a nipt test

DramaticFridge · 03/12/2024 15:46

Hi - I had my screening results back today - I am "low risk" at 1 in 1033 for Downs. I was expecting it to be a higher risk as I am 42 and overweight!

MittensForKittens123 · 03/12/2024 15:55

Out of interest how long are you having to wait after your scans for the results of the screening?

I had my scan + screening on the 23rd of Nov, and got the results in a letter on the 29th

MittensForKittens123 · 03/12/2024 16:55

Thanks @Crump3tCrav1ngs good to know. My DH wants to do NIPT as well as combined testing, so just wondering about when to book.

That's a 0.16% chance. I'd personally be OK with that but the NIPT would be more accurate if you need the reassurance.

HealthyPumpkin · 03/12/2024 19:59

Anyone got a high PAPP-A? Trisomy risk 1 in 5000, low risk NIPT but my PAPP-A is 1.99 which is borderline high.

Dashingduster · 04/12/2024 05:52

Good morning! Hoping to join I am due 7th June! I had my scan and blood test on 29th still haven’t heard the results hoping to today xx this is my scan 12 weeks 6 days if anyone would like to guess I just have no clue! 🙈 xxxx

Stef92 · 04/12/2024 16:33

Is anyone still feeling nauseous as you hit the second trimester? I've just been sick for the first time this pregnancy after cleaning up my son's packed lunch. Feeling a bit sorry for myself now 😩😩

BertLiv · 04/12/2024 18:02

We had our dating scan today and all is well! My due date has been moved back to 15th June, so I am now 12+3. So relieved the little one is ok - now we can really start to get excited! Anyone have any guesses on the sex?

@Stef92 I was sick for only the second time yesterday and felt worse this morning than I have since 6 weeks..I thought it was supposed to improve at this point too! Hope you’re feeling better now!

CAM8891 · 04/12/2024 18:07

@BertLiv i vote girl off skull theory 🩷

@Stef92 the nausea is relentless, im 11+2 and it needs to give me a break tbh, i miss food 😅

YorkshirePeridot · 04/12/2024 18:18

Congrats @BertLiv, lovely scan pic, I won't hazard a guess as don't know enough 😆

Had my 12 week scan this morning and all good here too. Baby was not cooperating and kept lying with their back to the probe so I was doing a lot of gymnastics on the bed trying to get them to flip over 😂 Scan date matches my lmp date of 12+1 so I'm due 17th June.

Amazing! Glad all went well! And that just made me laugh as I kept having to jiggle my hips to move the baby around for the measuring - felt very strange and uncomfortable with a full bladder! 😂

LacedBouquet · 04/12/2024 18:55

Congrats ladies! I was measuring right on time at 12+4 and was very very relieved. We aren’t sure what this one is looking like as skull is saying boy but spine is straight so girl? Maybe someone can do it better than me?

Congratulations everyone on all your lovely scans!

DramaticFridge · 05/12/2024 11:38

I took the instruction too literally and my bladder was too full! had to be sent for a "half wee" and then the baby was being all jiggly so she was pushing right down and my half wee almost became a full wee!! 😂

We have decided to have a surprise so I'm trying not to analyse the scan photos too much to see what we think it will be and fingers crossed I make it through the whole thing without anyone not realising we are not finding out and ruining it for us!

Stef92 · 05/12/2024 16:35

Checked my badger notes and they'd already uploaded my blood results for downs and edwards/pataus and im low risk so no further action.

I'm dreading clearing my son's packed lunch in a bit in case we have a repeat of yesterday's nausea. How is everyone else feeling?

Angelselevenx · 05/12/2024 19:33

@Stef92 that's great news. We were scanned on Saturday (brought forward a day so 12+1) and waiting patiently for screening results. We don't have badger notes here!

I had my scan today and had to do this too! I had no idea that it was even a thing 😂 Thankfully all seemed well, baby is measuring ahead from the date of my embryo transfer so I'm currently 13 weeks 2 days, with a due date of 10th June. We did the combined screening too, but NT was well within normal range so feeling optimistic for the first time this pregnancy! Hopefully the results won't take too long.

Glad to hear lots of other positive scan stories too - it's been a busy week or so!

MittensForKittens123 · 05/12/2024 22:03

Good scan today here as well. We had the screening test results back already, and they are low risk too. (1 in 558 for DS) I’ll be 40 by due date, so considering an NIPT for peace of mind.
