I have found out VERY early that I am pregnant and due early June (I am only 10dpo today) and found out yesterday I am pregnant (22 Sept)

Wanted to start this thread for those of you who have also just found out :) I found the thread when I was pregnant with my son super helpful!

I'm Lexie, 32, have a 14 month old son so am just squeezing in 2 under 2 :)

Sending love to all the people worried!

I had my scan today, dated me a couple days earlier but all was well. Also got my other scan booked in for Thursday, which will hopefully also be good news 🤞

MittensForKittens123 · 05/11/2024 11:40

I just stood up from my desk and had a massive gush of bright red blood. Soaked through my clothes and was dripping on the floor. So upset after having a good scan last week. Waiting for 111 to call me back now.

CAM8891 · 05/11/2024 11:41

Oh @MittensForKittens123 I hope you're ok. Let us know what they say. Can you leave work? X

Bewildened · 05/11/2024 11:52

@MittensForKittens123 I had that at 9 weeks in my last pregnancy and all was well. Don’t panic.

Best thing is to try get seen at EPU. You can call directly and self-refer if 111 are no use.

MittensForKittens123 · 05/11/2024 11:55

@Bewildened thank you, that does make me feel better.

@CAM8891 I’m luckily working from home today, as I work in a very male dominated profession, and it would have been horrible there.

I’ve passed a couple of clotty bit, but I think the bleeding has almost stopped now. My husband is on his way home from work.

CAM8891 · 05/11/2024 11:57

@MittensForKittens123 hugs! Let us know what happens.

Look after yourself and try get to EPU xx

Bewildened · 05/11/2024 12:11

@MittensForKittens123 it happened to me during covid and EPU was closed. I went to A&E and they refused to scan me - just sent me away. It was awful!

I ended up getting a private scan 2 days later and I was bleeding red blood and cramping for the whole 2 days. My baby was literally doing somersaults on the scan and everything was perfect. They couldn’t find a reason for the bleed but thought maybe it was a clot that had just bled out. That baby turned 4 today!

Wishing you all the best. Stay positive and rest.

codemytea · 05/11/2024 12:52

@MittensForKittens123 good luck with everything. Hoping for the best x

@CosmoMango A drop in symptoms between 8-12 weeks is perfectly normal! Just means your placenta may be taking over. This is from healthline:

"Although each pregnancy is different, you can expect the placenta to take over around weeks 8 to 12 of pregnancy, with 10 weeks being the average time for most women." (https://www.healthline.com/health/pregnancy/when-does-the-placenta-form#when-it-takes-over)

I felt my symptoms drop around week 9 and baby is still okay, so please don't worry too much! Hope the scan on saturday goes well x

MittensForKittens123 · 05/11/2024 13:13

I spoke to the EPU who scanned me last week, and they said since the bleeding has stopped just to carry on as normal. I’m really hoping the bleeding doesn’t start again.

I'm down a rabbit hole guys.

Can't help but fear the worst, my bbt is slowly dropping and my resting heart rate has plummeted today... I know I shouldn't still temp, it's habit. But both of them in sync has made me pretty much convince myself a mc is pending...

Wow this first trimester malarkey is stressful second time round 🥹

Hey! I had the same fears with mine but had a healthy 8w scan at the weekend. Mine started to drop and move all over the place from 7 weeks.
I’ll attach my charts for you!

CAM8891 · 05/11/2024 13:53

@LacedBouquet thank you so much, this is really reassuring

My RHR went down to 58 today which is only a bit higher than my pre pregnancy hr! And my temps are still above cover line just lower than the past few weeks!

I'll just sit tight and be grateful for no bleeding etc

CosmoMango · 05/11/2024 13:54

Thank you @codemytea that's what they said at my last scan. We could see the placenta which is apparently uncommon at 8 weeks but there is was!

They've continued to reduce though and all I see on Reddit is doom

CAM8891 · 05/11/2024 13:56

@MittensForKittens123 are you ok with that response?

It doesn't seem very helpful to me and I would have expected them to see you at least to check your cervix maybe.

Fingers crossed you have no more bleeding and it was just one of those things ❤️

MittensForKittens123 · 05/11/2024 13:59

@CAM8891 honestly I’m not sure how I feel about it. In a few days if there is no more bleeding I may try and organise a scan to see what is going on inside.

I appreciate now how straightforward my pregnancy with my oldest was!

CAM8891 · 05/11/2024 14:00

@MittensForKittens123 same! I had none of this with my first born until later on when maternity saw me whenever I needed to be seen. First trimester is the longest 12 weeks ever.

Hope you're ok, just take it easy xx

ThisElatedMintDreamer · 05/11/2024 17:21

I’ve began spotting again this evening, it’s very very light pink but I notice it when wiping. I’m so confused, my morning sickness started this morning and I thought that was a good sign that everything must be going well

ThisElatedMintDreamer · 05/11/2024 17:37

sending well wishes to everyone else who is having some worries today! Sooner we get to the second trimester the better x

MittensForKittens123 · 05/11/2024 17:45

Amen to that @ThisElatedMintDreamer

YorkshirePeridot · 06/11/2024 11:23

Had my scan this morning. Saw a healthy foetus with a strong heartbeat, dated at 7+4 which makes sense from when I ovulated. So relieved I cried. No reason found for the bleeding but I was told to get back in touch if it gets worse again and I need reassurance.

Sending love to everyone who is currently worried ❤️

MittensForKittens123 · 06/11/2024 11:24

Great news @YorkshirePeridot

HystericalDinosaur · 06/11/2024 11:51

That's great news @YorkshirePeridot

How's everyone doing today? Sorry for all the spotting/bleeding happening. I've had it in every pregnancy and it just sucks doesn't it.

I'm really struggling with just wanting to be scanned all the time (recurrent miscarrisge history). It's so hard to wait between scans.

CAM8891 · 06/11/2024 12:26

Great news @YorkshirePeridot . Did you book a private scan? I'm so torn on whether to book one or not!

Stef92 · 06/11/2024 13:38

I've had shoulder aches and some spotting today. Spoke to EPU as I know I need to have an injection if I bleed due to have RhD negative blood and my son was RhD positive and they've booked me in for a scan tomorrow afternoon

dmb91 · 06/11/2024 13:47

I had my scan this morning measuring 9+2.
My notes say this.. 'Adjacent to the gestation sac is a small area of likely subchorionic haemorrhage measuring 12.7 x 4.8mm'
I'm about to google it...

Don’t google it!!

But when you do, I had a SCH with my daughter and all was fine. I had a little bit of bleeding but it was gone by 12 week scan. There are lots of threads on here if you need more reassurance 💐
