Great news @figgyandpig! Sorry you were sick last night too! Maybe there was something in the air?! Today has been a bit better 🙏

YorkshireSunshine · 18/09/2024 21:24

Hi everyone,

Had my 12 week scan on Monday, 29th March is my due date 🙂I cannot wait to start feeling more human again!!

Anticipationstation · 18/09/2024 21:41

Congratulations @YorkshireSunshine! We have the same due date! Hope you are feeling better soon x

ploo · 19/09/2024 21:17

Congratulations 😃 love how we're all so close in due dates. And it's great to have some support as we go through this together

Anyone thought about when they're telling others yet? Immediate family know now but not told my 3 year old or anyone else yet

Nice to hear everyones updates. I also had my dating scan and revised due date is 24/03. March will come round quick!

ploo · 20/09/2024 21:42

Lovely news @soymilknosugar
It definitely will. Before we know it, it will be Christmas then it's the last hurdle of trying to get on with life while feeling like a beach whale 😂

Hey all!
Had our 12 scan last week at 12+5 and was given the due date of 23/03!
Anyone else still feeling so poorly? I had two completely normal days this week where all symptoms disappeared, I felt great, no nausea or sickness however the last two days it's come back with vengeance and I've been so so poorly! 14w tomorrow, dont know how much longer I've got in me putting up with this! Tried cyclizine which didn't work unfortunately! Please tell me it's not just me/it gets better? 😥

Anticipationstation · 21/09/2024 16:18

@AmyElizabeth93 you poor thing! You have my sympathy - it’s definitely been worse for me too in the last couple of weeks. Was hoping to avoid telling work for a little bit longer but the game was up on Friday when I vomited in a carrier bag in front of everyone. I get absolutely no warning, so have resorted to having a sick bag in my pocket at all times. So grim. Hopefully not much longer of feeling like this!

figgyandpig · 22/09/2024 08:29

@AmyElizabeth93 @BabyUxX @YorkshireSunshine @soymilknosugar congratulations on your scans!! So nice to reach that milestone and move forward feeling excited and positive 🤍

it’s absolutely pissing it down here so we’re having a movie day with a roast and I can’t wait. Got my appetite back full force! 😂 hope everyone’s having a lovely Sunday xx

figgyandpig · 28/09/2024 10:44

hey girls. I was wondering if any of you are ivf pregnancies like me? Only I’ve had a bit of confusion with my due date. Our 12 week scan said I was 4 days ahead so should be due on the 24th March but then my ivf clinic said no you have to go by the date the eggs were collected which would be the 28th. I’ve had my results back for my bloods and measurements etc and the screener said to go by the egg collection date so my due date is actually 28th March even though baby is measuring ahead.
for some reason it’s making me a little worried. I wish I’d asked more questions. Do any of you think that’s normal or experienced this with ivf? I’m confused because my first pregnancy was natural and the dates would just change with the growth.

I’ve read it’s ok to be within 7 days of growth. So I’m sure it’s all ok. I’ve messaged my midwife on badger to get reassurance but that was 3 days ago!

@figgyandpig mines IVF pregnancy, however, mine is frozen embryo so it's been calculated per the day 5 and so I'm due on 26th March, 12 weeks scan measured 2 days ahead. Initially the hospital didn't take into account the 5 days and put EDD as 31st based on transfer date.

Maybe push for more clarity, if this is really bugging you. There's online a 4 day difference you have in dates, therefore not a huge gap

So sorry I've not looked at this thread for a little bit. Life has been busy but back to normal now.
How are we all?
We booked a gender scan for in a couple of weeks and finally told our DS and he's really happy about it

Lovely news about your scan @AmyElizabeth93 how is your sickness now? And @Anticipationstation

soymilknosugar · 03/10/2024 18:11

@ploo us too - gender scan end of next week. I’m just so keen to know! Tried looking into skull theory but can’t make any sense of it haha

ploo · 03/10/2024 21:01

@soymilknosugar I'm really keen to know too. My symptoms are very similar to my last pregnancy which makes me think it's a boy. Really can't wait to find out. I did the nub theory last time and it was wrong so I haven't looked at anything like that this time 😂

Anticipationstation · 03/10/2024 21:12

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all OK! Thanks for checking in @ploo. The sickness has been rough, but I think it seeeeeems to be easing off over the last few days, so I’m really hoping I’m past the worst of it!

Very exciting to hear about everyone’s upcoming scans. I’d been planning to keep the sex a surprise but my resolve is weakening. Have a feeling I’ll crack and ask them to tell me at 20 weeks 😂.

ploo · 04/10/2024 17:36

@Anticipationstation fingers crossed it keeps getting easier for you 🤞🏼
They wouldn't tell me in my last pregnancy on my NHS scan. It was only because I told them I already knew and asked if they would confirm which is why I've gone and done it privately again this time round.
Did they tell you with your previous pregnancies?

OP posts:
Anticipationstation · 04/10/2024 19:21

Oh that’s interesting @ploo. They wouldn’t tell you at your 20 week scan? I’ve found out the sex at 20 weeks with both of my children, but I keep telling myself I’m not going to find out this time. Not sure how that will go, though!

AmyElizabeth93 · 08/10/2024 08:36

Hey all! Hope you are all feeling OK, thank goodness at 17 weeks the sickness is starting to kilter off and we are over the moon to find out we are having a boy!!!!! Has anyone else found out the gender yet? X

soymilknosugar · 09/10/2024 19:53

@AmyElizabeth93 great news about the sickness and gender! We are finding out tomorrow, so excited!

figgyandpig · 13/10/2024 08:13

@AmyElizabeth93 Yay a little boy, they are the cutest! So nice to hear the sickness is slowing down 🤍 I’ve noticed my appetite is increasing and weirdly I keep wanting milkshakes 🥴😂

hope everyone’s doing well in their 2nd trimester🤍🤍

I think I may of jinxed it, had a couple of really rough days but now feel OK again? Soo frustrating it keeps going then coming back full force!
Yes soo excited for a boy (we were crossing our fingers for one) now to get shopping! X

ploo · 21/10/2024 19:50

@AmyElizabeth93 aww how are you feeling now? Has the sickness stopped?

We also find out recently that we're having a boy 😆

How is everyone getting on in 2nd trimester so far?

OP posts:
Rosequartzz · 21/10/2024 20:04

Congratulations @pploo on your little boy 💙 I haven't yet found out. I'm not too fussed either, this has been a looooong process over many years I just want a healthy baby.
My husband wants to know so he may ask for it in the next couple weeks.

I don't have many pregnancy symptoms which gets me more worked up, but then a small symptoms shows itself.

I feel like I'm driving myself mad. Also... how are we closing in on halfway soon ?!
Everything just feels so surreal. We've only just started telling our closest friends and family and the love and excitement we're getting is so overwhelming and makes things scarily real.

Anyone else in the same boat or been here before to help me navigate my thoughts.
