I have just tested positive today with a due date of 2 February. Have had a look and I can't see that anyone else has started a group for Feb yet. Is there anyone else out there who would like to join?

Possibly! I did a test on Thursday which had a very faint line, so waiting until Tuesday when I get paid to get a digital, and should be stronger by then to confirm, or not. Due date would be 5th Feb I think. Have been feeling pretty ropey last few days so don't know if it's a pregnancy thing or a bit of a cold.

PuddleJump · 25/05/2024 16:31

@Thecomfortador ahh that's exciting. I am also trying not to get too carried away. I got my first positive today at what I think is 13DPO but it was very faint. I have some cheapies left so I think I'm going to see if I get good line progression. Fingers crossed your test on Tuesday gives you some peace of mind!

I’m due 1 February! Was waiting for someone to start a thread because I don’t know how! How are you feeling? I’ve had 2 chemicals in the past so I just really want this week to be over xxx

PuddleJump · 26/05/2024 06:26

Welcome @ThatBusyPanda ! I'm sorry about your past chemicals, really hope this one sticks for you.

I took another test this morning and it's definitely a little bit darker than yesterday. So I'm taking that as a good sign.

I'm feeling ok so far, the only symptom I have noticed is sore and (I think) slightly swollen boobs. Oh and also possible difficulty sleeping but that might just be because i have million thoughts racing round my head. How about you guys?

Aw thanks it’s so hard, such a waiting game. I’m quite sensitive to hormones I think as I get bad periods. So far very bloated, heartburn and nausea on and off and my boobs feel massive although not overly sore yet. I’m hoping these are good signs!

A darker line is a good sign!!

I’ve been looking at line progression too. Mine are still not as dark as the control, I’m about 16/17 dpo.. not sure if that’s normal!

Thecomfortador · 26/05/2024 08:17

What I remember from previous pregnancies is that any reassurance is only in the minute you have it. Scans and things are great but as soon as you're home you start questioning haha. Same with tests, they seem real for half an hour but then you need another one to prove it's still positive.

Hopefully your tests will show a nice darkening in next few days. I'm getting bits of nausea on and off and suddenly feeling absolutely exhausted and needing to have a sleep. But then my kids are waking me up too early and being general pain in the bums as it's half term. I've never had sore boobs, it's strange thing to keep reading about on here but not being able to relate to.

Kaybubs · 26/05/2024 11:34

Hi ladies,

Hoping it's okay to jump in on this group too 🙂 Just got a positive test this morning (11 DPO) after feeling slightly nauseous and a bit overly emotional the past few days. Predicted date is 6th Feb on the app. I have a very lively 18 month old boy who is already tiring me out. Also finding it hard to sleep as I'm overthinking every tiny detail. I might do another few tests just to be sure.

PuddleJump · 26/05/2024 15:30

Congratulations @Kaybubs !

I think I've started to feel a little nauseous today as well. Which I'm suprised about as with my previous pregnancies I've never started feeling sick until a good 8/9 weeks in. Maybe its a girl this time, my previous two have been boys. Also feeling properly wiped out today.

@ThatBusyPanda I dont think I'd worry about the line not being as dark as the control yet. I think everyone produces different levels of hcg so you can't really compare test at the same point from different women. I think the main thing is lines getting darker over time rather than how dark they actually are.

Thanks @Thecomfortador , that's good advice on the testing. I do try to not get too obsessed over these things and just relax. I have totally failed at not letting myself get too carried away anyway and have already put my self referral in for maternity care 😅

Hope your digital goes OK today @Thecomfortador .

How are people feeling? I've been carrying on getting very mild nausea and feeling totally zonked this morning, although that's probably more to do with being woken up a 5.30...

Line progression has been good, but still not very dark.

Morning 👋🏼 can I tentatively join? Had a vfp yesterday evening and a slightly stronger one today at 12dpo, which would put me due on 6th Feb.

CJHR18 · 28/05/2024 09:14

Hiya girls 🥰

I tested positive over the weekend. This is my first ever successful cycle after trying for so long! I was literally supposed to be starting medicated IUI in June!

I'm super anxious and really not sure what I should do now? I spoke with my GPs receptionist and she was kind of useless. Is it normal practice to get a HCG blood test, or should I ask to have one?

TIA girls xxxx

YaWeeFurryBastard · 28/05/2024 09:25

@CJHR18 hello 👋🏼.

I don’t think it’s usual to have a blood test unless you have specific concerns as home tests are pretty reliable nowadays. I think the next step is to self refer to your local hospital for midwife care x

Hello, tentatively joining you. I very unexpectedly found out I was pregnant on Sunday after my period was 3 days late. So a total shock and still trying to get my head around it! I think I’m around 4.5 weeks so due end of Jan/early Feb

mamataylor · 28/05/2024 11:52

Aw I’ve been waiting for one of these threads! ☺️ please can I join? I’m 4w2d today I think, due 2nd Feb 2025! We have an almost 3yo DD too so this will be our second baby. We’ve booked an early scan for when I’ll be 7 weeks exactly as we had a miscarriage last November so want the reassurance everything is moving along as it should be! Is anyone else considering an early scan? X

roowoop · 28/05/2024 11:57

Hello! Would love to join! It was my first ivf cycle and I’ve tested positive since Friday, still can’t quite believe it yet! My official test date is tomorrow but line progression is looking good. Just don’t feel like I can get excited at all yet, I’m so nervous!
Ive had the worst bloating, some constipation and feeling super tired since Friday, but could also be because of the progesterone I’m on too!

same with the nausea and tiredness! I’m so thankful my toddler slept through the night last night 😂 nausea seems to only be there when I’m hungry (which seems to be all the time!!)

are you testing every day or every other? As I’ve seen better progression if I leave a day in between x

YaWeeFurryBastard · 28/05/2024 11:58

@mamataylor I’ll definitely be booking one for around the seven week mark, think I’ll book next week as I’m slight behind you.

It did say online around 7 weeks is a good time to do it. I booked mine this morning! I never had one with my first baby but as I miscarried last November my anxiety is through the roof 🙃 congrats on your bfp too. How are you feeling?

scrumdiddly123 · 28/05/2024 12:08

@mamataylor yes I’ll be asking if I can be referred for an early scan as have a history of recurrent miscarriage. I think I had one at 6 weeks and then again at 8 weeks last time. If goes ok this will be baby 5 for me but my 8th pregnancy

scrumdiddly123 · 28/05/2024 12:17

Congratulations @CJHR18 you must be so excited! You don’t normally have a blood test no, all you need to do is ask the Gp to refer you to the midwife for your booking in appt but no huge rush for this! The first 8 weeks are a lot of waiting and wondering 😒

Ah I get it, I’ve never had a miscarriage and I’m still anxious, big hugs to you.

Just confirmed my BFP on a digital so I’m super happy! I feel ok just need the toilet a lot. How’s everyone doing?

Thank you. I did a digital this morning too and got 2-3 weeks so feel I can relax a little more now!

I’m not sure the nhs would refer me as I’ve only had one miscarriage so we’ve paid privately but completely get why they would for you with having had recurrent losses - I’m sorry to hear that. Hope this little one sticks for you ♥️

Thecomfortador · 28/05/2024 15:33

Hey, my digital came up positive this morning, 1-2 so it's looking ok for now. Just taking it slowly. Still feeling a bit nauseous at times and woke up last night really restless, which was annoying and not normal for me. I may do a further test at the weekend or early next week just to check progress.
