Anyone else tested super early and due December 2024? This is my 2nd pregnancy after a mmc 2 days after my 12 week scan in December and actual miscarriage in January.

Hoping this will be the 1 that sticks and is healthy. Think my due date is Dec 3rd

Hey! I tested this morning on a FRER and got a faint positive. Obv still early days but a little in disbelief as we weren't really trying. I'd also be 3rd December due date.

I'm so sorry about your loss, I had a miscarriage right before conceiving my now 14 month old, though it was much earlier in the pregnancy - keeping my fingers crossed for us both

Congratulations!! Got my fingers crossed for us both too!

I'm currently trying to not test everyday and maybe max once a week till I get 3weeks+ on the clearblue but not sure if I'll be able to hold off.

Do you have any symptoms atm? I'm getting the odd bit of nausea in the evenings and sore boobs very ocassionally

I've already done another test 😂though just a cheapy easy@home one. Am definitely going to try and hold off now though as I will drive myself crazy looking at the lines!

I think I'll be content once I see a BFP on a FRER, I had problems with the clearblue digital ones in my last pregnancy (think I was doing something wrong but they kept coming back inconclusive).

Funnily enough it was the symptoms that led me to testing, I've been feeling really nauseous and crampy for a couple of days and could only relate it to how I felt in pregnancy. Looked at the calendar to work out when I might have ovulated and realised we'd DTD a few times around then so tested....feel so bad as I'm not taking vitamins or anything but have just ordered some from amazon. Also took baby aspirin in my last pregnancy after having the miscarriage before - have no idea if it helped my last one stick but I'm going to start taking it again just in case.

Being in limbo trying not to plan ahead in case something goes wrong, but just knowing that right now, in this moment, as far as you know, you are pregnant is the weirdest feeling. Are you able to get anything done? I'm supposed to be working but I just can't concentrate!

I think you'll be OK without having had the vitamins before now, there's so many people who find out quite late that they're pregnant and go on to have healthy babies.
And not really, not been able to think of anything except this and am distracted by it all and definitely not as focused at work.

Am meant to be going to my SIL's wedding in the summer but worked out I'll be about 6 months then and my dresses will no longer fit but unsure what I'll do then and how I'll survive 40° weather. But I want to get past my 12 week scan before worrying about that. Finding out early does not help during the 1st trimester when we have an even longer wait before knowing things are ok😅.

Hi,

I'm in the due November group as I think my due date will be on the cusp of both months. But then this one will be more in time with weeks etc.

So I tested on Wednesday after a horrendous nights sleep where my insides felt like they were being twisted, was excruciating! Luckily nothing since then.

So I think we're 4 weeks +3.

Please may I join?

I think I’m due on 1st December, I have 1 DS already but this pregnancy already feels different. My first pregnancy was a bit of a surprise and I took a test (the one and only) because I felt pregnant. This time I have been trying for a few months and obviously have taken about 100 and am reading into every difference of strength of line. I just need to stop. It didn’t help that I took a digital with weeks and it said not pregnant - even though my other 99 were definitely pregnant.

Today I have really tried to calm the testing anxiety and I feel much better for it. I’d just love a few symptoms to appear - but I suppose lots of people don’t find out they’re pregnant until 5 or 6 weeks

How are you all doing today?

Hello! (And hi again @NphysT !) Tentatively joining after I got my bfp yesterday, due to short cycles would make me 4 weeks this weekend. TTC #2, but have had two MMCs in the last 9 months.

Based on my maths I would make the EDD of this pregnancy 1st Dec, snap @Rhubarbcrumble100! Like you I also feel nervous about lack of symptoms but it’s so, so early still.

I’ve got more tests arriving this evening so will test again tomorrow and then have told myself I can ration them to one every other day til I run out (I think I have five tests!)

Anyone thinking of getting early scans?

Rhubarbcrumble100 · 22/03/2024 19:24

Hi @Wise0wl congratulations on your BFP. It’s such a nerve wracking time isn’t it?

I was aiming for a 7ish week scan - in case the 6 week scan is too early.

What are you thinking?

Is anyone else thinking about getting a scan?

Report
Wise0wl · 22/03/2024 19:31

Thanks @Rhubarbcrumble100, you too! How old is your DS?

I’ve had spotting in 3/4 pregnancies (my first successful one, one of my MMCs but not the other, and now this fourth pregnancy) so I’ve started on progesterone already which my GP advised. However I can’t get a repeat prescription until after a viability scan so I think the EPU will want to do one at about 6-7 weeks. Am going to try and keep my stash going for as long as possible as I know I’d prefer a scan nearer to 7, and would hope to see a heartbeat. It’s so tempting to test and if I had endless money I would get scans all the time, but the reality is that though it makes me less anxious in the moment the reassurance doesn’t last!

Report
Rhubarbcrumble100 · 23/03/2024 05:42

Oh @Wise0wl I’m so sorry about your previous MCs. How are you feeling waiting 2 / 3 weeks for a scan? I’d like my scan at 7 weeks for the same reason - to make sure if there’s going to be a heart beat its there because otherwise I might be worrying myself unnecessarily when its just too early.

Have you got any pregnancy symptoms yet?

I’ve got the most horrific headache and there’s not enough water in the world to hydrate me. It almost feels like being hungover although I don’t have the nausea yet.

My DS is 20 months - I’m still BF which I was aiming to stop soon but he’s just hand hfm so I’m thinking about carrying on for a bit longer - who knows.

Wise0wl · 23/03/2024 08:15

Thank you @Rhubarbcrumble100. I actually feel quite calm! With my second MMC I was so anxious all the time and it didn’t change the outcome. I’m trying to tell myself that there isn’t loads I can do to change the fate of this pregnancy and it’s already in its DNA, which makes me feel more powerless, and more relaxed about it.

Your poor DS! HFM is horrible.

sorry about your headache. I’ve got fleeting nausea (just comes for maybe 10 mins or so) and I’m absolutely exhausted. Other than that, nothing yet!

Thank you @Wise0wl ❤️

Just a bit shocked I think, we’d got it in our head it would take us much longer to get pregnant!

It’s DP’s birthday today, I didn’t tell him I was doing a test this morning, then I gave him the tests I’d done in a box as a birthday present - he says it’s the best birthday ever ☺️

So grateful but also very aware so much can go wrong at this stage so 🤞🏻

Hi all! May I join!? I think I will be due the 2nd of Dec (but suspect all going well they might be early as my other two babies were). This is baby number 3! I got a super super light positive 8dpo, I'm not 12dpo and tests have gotten a lot darker.

I have a miscarriage almost a year ago exactly when we fell pregnant unplanned, so I'm more nervous this time. I have a 5 year old DD and a 2 year old DD, who will be just 6 and 3 before this baby is due.

I've always wanted 3, but I can't deny I'm scared! Also I have been very ill in both previous successful pregnancies, cripplingly so, so I am scared about that also!

Tentatively joining (hi @Wise0wl and @NphysT Grin) after my BFP this morning....tested positive at 13dpo and think I'm around the 4 week mark?

I had two chemical pregnancies in December and January, so it's already super hard to relax and settle in to the joy of being pregnant! The line is already so much stronger than it was around the same time for my CP's - I'm now deciding not to test again until my body tells me otherwise.

Due date looks like it's going to be 2nd December :)

So far just mega sore boobs and super tired! I have a DD already who will be 5 in two weeks - worried about the age gap but I'm sure it'll all be fine!

Hi. I would love to (tentatively) join please?

I don’t know my DPO as we weren’t trying yet! We agreed we’d try the coming months as we have a 3 year old DD who took 18 months to conceive, and the first time we had unprotected sex in 4 years…! - I know my conception date as 10/03 so due date is 01/12.

Have a FRER coming later today. For now I have these! No symptoms apart from crampy.

Have you guys told your DHs yet? I’m waiting for a more definitive test for some reason- even know I know deep down! Just a bit shocked really!

Hey! So nice to see others joining! Congratulations, hope everyone is OK!

@NphysT there are loads of great dresses on vinted; maternity or otherwise!

@Riverstardust Hope you are getting better sleep now!

@Rhubarbcrumble100 I really don't get on with the digital tests, if the others are all saying positive I wouldn't worry too much about it. I'm still BF too (well, exclusively pumping as DS never managed to latch) and have noticed my supply has gone down since being pregnant. Can only put it down to needing to drink more water!

@Wise0wl sorry to hear about your MMCs, you are so right in your outlook though - there's very little we can do now, it's just so hard not to drive yourself crazy in these early days!

@MaybeWeShouldGoToEastbourne what a great way to tell your DP the news!

@GoldDustWoman90 sorry to hear about your chemicals, really hope this one sticks, the strong test is a really good sign

@Applesandcakesorry to hear about your previous MC, I really hope this pregnancy is less sicky for you!

@Linespotting congratulations! I didn't really tell my DH, so much as showed him the test and said "is that another line??".... how romantic 😂

I'm being kept busy by my DS who is teething, the days I'm with him seem to fly by, it's my work days which seem to drag. I've only been back from mat leave for 3 weeks so not sure what they'll think when I eventually tell them...

Lovely to see you here @GoldDustWoman90 - how are you feeling?

How old is your DS @Daisythroughconcrete? And are your work generally good about mat leave and being flexible for working parents?

@Linespotting congratulations! Have you done your FRER (or told your DH?)

@Wise0wl freaking myself out reading stories of false positives on easy@home 🥺 I thought my line seemed dark for 11dpo and now I'm reading about some awful false positive lines

For the sake of my sanity I decided to not take another test until my body starts telling me any different. Now I'm wondering whether I should take another brand just to be doubly sure.

I just want to relax but can't 😕

Oh @GoldDustWoman90 I know exactly how you feel if it’s any consolation. I’ve only tested on FRERs and know there were issues with them so and psyching myself up to do a Clear blue to check, likely Monday. The ridiculous thing is that I know that line strength isn’t really a scientific indicator! I don’t know when I ovulated this month so that makes me more nervous! Do you have any plans for the rest of this weekend to take your mind off it? X

Hi everyone, can I (tentatively) join?
I got a faint positive on easy @ home today, 11dpo. I couldn’t believe it so did another easy @ home and a clear blue and got a faint line on both.
This will be my first baby if it sticks, and this is my fourth month ttc. I haven’t told my husband yet as I am scared to fully believe it, going to do another test tomorrow.
I think I will be roughly 4 weeks tomorrow and due around 3rd dec 🤞

@Wise0wl good to see you over on this side!
Hoping we all have sticky beans.
I've reworked out my dates and think I might be due 2nd December and not 3rd? Won't know for sure till 12 week scan though.

I'm planning to call the epu and see if they can get me in for an early scan at 7 weeks because of my mmc but will pay for 1 if not.

Making a Dr's appointment for tomorrow to get the higher strength folic acid as my bmi is just over 30. With my last pregnancy my midwife told me to just double up on my folic acid but I've only just realised this is still a lot less than the high strength 1 from the Dr's and would actually need to take 12 tablets of the normal to he equivalent to that! Hoping the lower dosage I've been taking all this time won't have an effect on bubs though.

How's everyone doing today? Symptom wise I have sore boobs on and off and nausea in the evenings + tiredness.
