Anyone else tested super early and due December 2024? This is my 2nd pregnancy after a mmc 2 days after my 12 week scan in December and actual miscarriage in January.

Hoping this will be the 1 that sticks and is healthy. Think my due date is Dec 3rd

@NphysT i had done extensive research in to it before I decided to go for it. I go for fertility acupuncture and it’s proven to be really beneficial for those who suffer from recurrent loss, have blood disorders, are going through IVF or to aid healthy implantation. I feel so relaxed during and after my session, so even if that’s all it does for me I think it’s been very worthwhile xx

@NphysT i’m going to get in touch with EPU next week I think to try and get a scan closer to 7 weeks when, if alls well, it’s more likely to see a heartbeat. Completely agree about wanting some symptoms for reassurance but don’t want to tempt fate either! Have you decided about having a scan?

Linespotting · 29/03/2024 19:11

Hello ladies. Panicking slightly as I’ve had a small amount of spotting :( it followed a BM and I’ve been reading that that can happen, it was very pale pink. So I’m hoping it’s down to that.
very scared :(

Wise0wl · 29/03/2024 21:24

Hey @Linespotting this is my fourth pregnancy, I’ve had spotting in 3/4 of them (one successful, one MMC, and now this new pregnancy). The spotting I have now is exactly as you describe, and I was told it’s caused because pregnancy makes your cervix sensitive. I would suggest getting in touch with your GP next week and asking for a referral to your local EPU who may do a scan to check everything is as it should be. If you’ve had a loss before they should prescribe progesterone, but might not if not. Otherwise, the advice is typically to stay hydrated and eat a fibre rich diet to make your BMs easier (especially important as pregnancy vitamins that have added iron can contribute to constipation too!) I know it’s worrying, I’m here if you want to chat x

I'm so glad it's helping! That's all you can ask for really. Can you get it done throughout the whole pregnancy or just till early pregnancy? I may look into it xx

I had a lot of these symptoms with my 1st pregnancy, hopefully they ease up soon.

Lovely update, what did you use to get all the information? I'm currently got the babycentre, flo and pregnancy + app to track pregnancy.

Line progression is looking really good. I got my 2-3 weeks on a clearblue digital and dye stealer 2 days ago on a boots test so just planning to do the last clearblue weeks 1 on Monday to get the 3+. How long do plan to carry on testing for?

Fingers crossed it all goes well. I think I'd like to at 8 weeks again, I know it won't guarantee anything as I still had a mmc after my 12 week scan but I feel it helped make it real for me. I think I forget I'm actually pregnant 90% of the time

I think that can be quite normal because of all the blood flow going to that area and our cervix being more sensitive. If you're still worried or it carries on I'd contact the epu. How are you doing now?

@NphysT acupuncture is safe throughout all of pregnancy! They just avoid certain points if you are pregnant. I researched to find someone specifically trained in fertility acupuncture too so I feel confident they know what they’re doing!

I’m the same. I got a dye stealer on a boots early test 16dpo and a 2-3 positive digital result the same day. I’m going to take the last digital on Monday which will be 5 weeks and hope it comes up as 3+. If it doesn’t, I might waste yet more money on tests (god, I’ve taken soooooo many to confirm I’m pregnant!!), and buy one more to see the 3+. All being well, this’ll be my last pregnancy so I’m letting myself spend the money!

Cannot believe I’m actually pregnant with number three. It was never a definitive that we’d have three as my OH always said two, and we had a lot of difficult conversations over the years even before we had any children! It was actually the miscarriage which made him change his mind as I think seeing how upset I was over it showed him for the first time that wanting a third for me wasn’t just a minor desire.

Anyone else pregnant with their last (all being well?). It feels so different to when I was with my first!

MrsS11 · 30/03/2024 09:59

@Applesandcake I'm also (hopefully) pregnant with our last, this will be number 4. It's a nice feeling, I always knew the others could be the last but really hoped they weren't!

Hi everyone, I’m just looking for a bit of reassurance. I am 4wk+4 and I have absolutely ZERO symptoms. I had mildly sensitive nipples for a few days and some lower back aches but other than that nothing. I can’t help but feel my total lack of symptoms is a warning sign that things aren’t progressing. Tests are still very much positive, although I’ve sent myself nuts comparing line colours that I now think the last two days haven’t been as dark… honestly I can’t relax after going through 2 previous losses so I would just like to know if it’s normal to not feel pregnant at all yet?

Im in the same boat and from what I find and read online does seem normal and common not to have symptoms at 4 weeks, don't think my sister had symptoms earlier in her pregnancy either. i have also been worried to so sending you a hug but we have to try stay positive x

Applesandcake · 31/03/2024 16:50

With my first, I didn’t have a single symptom until 6+6… and then I woke up with serve debilitating morning sickness which lasted 5 months. So symptoms really aren’t a sign of anything!

I think when I was first pregnancy at 18 so 17 years ok before the loss at 6-7 weeks I had no symptoms than myself

For me I'm going to carry on with my stips every 3 days and maybe speak to gp about doing bloods to make sure hsg rising ok hopefully they will do this for me

Wise0wl · 31/03/2024 17:30

@dreammama I know how nerve wracking it is - 4+4 is still so early. With my first DC I didn’t have symptoms until about 6 weeks. I’m getting through by not really thinking about pregnancy or being pregnant, but it’s hard!

dreammama · 31/03/2024 17:33

@UnicornPrincessSarah @Applesandcake @Wise0wl tha ks ladies, definitely makes me feel better knowing it’s not just me. I really can’t remember when symptoms kicked in for me last time, DH seems to think it was around the 7 week mark and lost the baby shortly after. Will just see how things go, but trying to just act as if I’m not pregnant for now as I’m sending myself mad!

No worries @dreammama. Fwiw with DC1 I had symptoms from about 6 weeks, then for one of my MMCs I had strong symptoms and the other I had none at all. Annoyingly symptoms don’t always equal a successful pregnancy, and no symptoms don’t necessarily mean something bad either! 12 weeks seems so long to wait doesn’t it, though we’re all a third of the way through which is good!

We really need to find some distractions lol
