Anyone else tested super early and due December 2024? This is my 2nd pregnancy after a mmc 2 days after my 12 week scan in December and actual miscarriage in January.

Hoping this will be the 1 that sticks and is healthy. Think my due date is Dec 3rd

@UnicornPrincessSarah from a quick Google, the clear blue one you used is 10 miu (which is the same as Boots own brand). FRER is 5 miu, this is what Google says about 25 miu:

For example, tests claiming 25 mIU/ml sensitivity were declared to be > 99 % accurate from the day of the expected period and capable of detecting pregnancy up to 4 days before the expected period.

so maybe wait until the day your period is due? When is that?

My AF is due wed or Thursday this week I can have cycles 27 to 32 days predicted ovulation was 12th or 14th and lasts DTD 4th and started getting cramps from Monday 18th and then first Faint positive 3pm Friday on wondfo that's a 5mui

when I had mc at 18 i was 4/5 weeks when found out then and lost baby at 6/7 weeks, don't normally test but something this month felt different now lines not darker and this test vanishing I'm scared

Wise0wl · 25/03/2024 22:19

@UnicornPrincessSarah I completely understand your anxiety (I’ve just had two MMCs one after the other), but if it helps to share, I keep trying to tell myself that with early pregnancy there is very little that we can do that will impact the outcome, and being stressed is definitely not going to help! Could you do something to take your mind off it tomorrow and test Wednesday with your Asda test?

rosecbrm · 26/03/2024 09:50

Morning all, can I join?

Had a faint positive yesterday evening and this morning, NHS due date calculated says I would be due the 6th December!

Super excited but also anxious, had an early miscarriage in September and had been trying since with no luck. Stopped trying this month as I've literally just started a new job a week ago 🙈 and lo and behold we got a BFP! Super anxious about that side of things with work but trying not to think about that.

Waiting on a phone call from the doctor as I had to get my bloods checked for low progesterone on CD21 and they came back slightly lower. So waiting to see what happens now I'm pregnant 🙈

Congratulations to you all, may we all go on to have healthy pregnancies xxxx

Hope everyone is doing good and having a good Tuesday, 12/14 dpo for me today

Sorry been a bit busy today but here is today's update for everyone

So after talking to some other people or having responses to my posts seems clear and blue nondigital can have a habit of fading, I can still see a slight blue line but wouldn't pick up if I were to take a photo.

Anyway this morning on FMU on 6.5 hour hold I did another wondfo strip 10mui and a clear and simple 20mui test and both tests came up positive

attached photos are now all my tests from Friday 22nd up to today

I’m getting twinges on my right side low down. Enough that it hurts a bit. Also my hips twinge if I stand up too fast. I also have heart palpitations and feel a bit odd.

I also feel shattered and feeling emotional. I’m officially a day late now. 15dpo.

KitKat791 · 26/03/2024 19:27

Hey everyone hope you’re all doing okay.

I am really feeling pretty rubbish, I have a lot of congestion and ear pain but my husband has cold symptoms too so thinking it’s a cold that has hit me a bit harder because of the pregnancy. Also feeling so fatigued.

This is my first pregnancy and I feel really anxious in case something bad happens. If anyone can share advice on how to keep your mind off it let me know. I have no idea how I’ll make it to 12 weeks at this rate 😂

Wise0wl · 26/03/2024 20:43

Hi @KitKat791 sorry you’re feeling anxious. I’ve had one successful pregnancy (DC is 3) and two MMCs. I was so anxious for both the pregnancies that ended in MMCs, and it didn’t change the outcome. Like I said to @UnicornPrincessSarah I’m just taking each day as it comes and reminding myself all the time that virtually nothing we do right now can impact the outcome. It’s shit that there isn’t loads of research on pregnancy loss or how to prevent it, but most people have successful pregnancies. There’s a useful website that shows the likelihood of you having a successful pregnancy at each stage: https://datayze.com/miscarriage-chart

Time seems to fly after the 12 week scan so we all just need to do our best to get to that point! Have you got much on to keep you busy or take your mind off things? X

Miscarriage Probability Chart

Displays the overall probability of miscarriage - or, conversely, the probability of not miscarrying - based on pregnancy length by day and maternal history.

Thanks @Wise0wl you’re so right I’ve just had a word with myself I just need to trust my body to do what it‘s supposed to do and take it a day at a time.

I do have quite a busy social calendar coming up so I’m going to have to get creative with excuses for not drinking, I have work trips and a wedding coming up 😂

What is everyone’s thoughts on getting a private scan early? I feel it would make me feel reassured to confirm the pregnancy but have heard others often don’t get to see a heartbeat if it’s too soon.

Sorry to hear about your partner's cold, but I do think I remember reading that our body are doing the work for baby so our immune system can take a beating but also the extra blood pumping in body can cause things to swell so more pressure in ears and nose maybe

I wake up anywhere from 5.30am - 6.30am right now then come 5/6pm I sort of have a crash and pick up a bit after dinner but then crash again, during the day I feel so weak and even a 30 min walk now feels like a marathon like wtf

After my loss at 18 at 6 weeks, this would be my first with my husband and like you, I'm also scared to I think it's only natural especially when stuff is happening in our body that we can't really control, for me I'm going to maybe do colouring if I get energy or try do bits around the house to

Do you have any hobbies or interests you could do to maybe help distract you if possible?

UnicornPrincessSarah · 26/03/2024 21:14

@Wise0wl When I was 18 was a 1 night stand and found out at either 4/5 weeks, I didn't tell anyone apart from GP they didn't do anything or help much so I wasn't told to be careful of things etc, I had a bath but I like mine hot and when in the bath I went sweaty and dizzy and nearly fainted either a few days or a week later I started to bleed lost baby at 6/7 weeks no idea if it was a bath but it's only as I got older I found out heat can affect pregnancy, so staying away from baths lol

I want to get back into coloring and reading especially if not much energy for much else, was hoping to carr on some barre but right now I'm taking it easy and listening to body, need to clean the house but can only manage a little at time then get whipped out

@KitKat791 I'm planning on an early scan for the piece of mind I am a worrier in life lol

KaliJones · 26/03/2024 21:29

Congrats! I tested on Friday and I’ve had three positive tests since, so I’ll be around 4 weeks too 😊 Third pregnancy but the last one ended in loss late on, so I’m taking it as chill as I can.

Mine was due yesterday. Really early but I feel like I knew I was before I got the positive. It’s taken nearly 3 years to be in the position where I am able to have another one so I’m really happy 😊x

Wise0wl · 26/03/2024 22:14

@KitKat791 I’ll get an early scan (I think because of my history the EPU will scan me) but am going to wait to about 7 weeks for the reasons you mention so the chances of seeing a heartbeat are higher. I also have a big night out with some colleagues in a few weeks so will have to find a no drinking excuse!

@UnicornPrincessSarah sorry about your loss ❤️ I think as long as the bath isn’t too hot it’s ok, and it’s mostly a thing later on in pregnancy as right now they’re so tiny they’re protected by our bodies. So you’re likely ok to have a warm bath if you wanted one!

welcome @KaliJones, sorry about your loss and congratulations!

AubergineSalad · 26/03/2024 22:19

Hello! Can I join? Had positive test on Saturday and took another on Monday to be sure! Am about 4 weeks, would be due early Dec. It’s my first pregnancy and I needed ovulation injections to get here, so am keeping everything crossed but also trying to stay calm - such a hard balance! Feeling tired and constipated in the evenings, but no nausea yet. Hope everyone is doing ok!

This is my fourth pregnancy (one miscarriage), and I had early scans with hour my first two children. I’m a natural pessimist and know a few people who’ve had missed miscarriages, so it’s always felt worth it to reassure me. Obviously it’s still not a certain, but if you see a healthy heartbeat at 7 weeks the chances of miscarriage is something like 5%.

I’m going to book one this time too. It also helps break up the long wait until the 12 week one!

Ah yeah it is scary when we find out early ah bless, this is my second but the first was a rainbow baby 17 years ago now

Normally for me I have cramps and major sore boobs after ovulation, this cycle I didn't and thought that was strange then had 2 days in a row where I came down with a scratchy sore throat thinking a cold would come it never did.
then from mon 18th of March I started to get belly cramps and twinges on and off till Wednesday and major fatigue, On fri 22nd I was cramping so much I thought I should be bleeding, had my normal squash drink and tasted funny i was like something is off let me try a test and got my first ever faint positive at 3pm on a no hold wee lol

Wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months

UnicornPrincessSarah · 27/03/2024 07:28

@Wise0wl I tend to like hot baths where at first it kind of hurts the skin but then you adjust, crazy women I know but as I said back then no one ever told me anything like that, for now ill stick to showers but not as hot and windows wide open lol.

My sister had her first baby last year in Oct, she said summer was worse for her and forgot we going to have to go through summer ourselves, I also suffer with hayfever so will need to see what I can do for this when pregnant

MrsS11 · 27/03/2024 08:25

Hope everyone is well this morning, I think I'm feeling less anxious this morning. Pregnancy hormones make me overthink everything! But @UnicornPrincessSarah it really is ok to have a not-scalding bath, you can get a baby bath thermometer if you're worried. They're amazing for the pregnancy aches and pains!

UnicornPrincessSarah · 27/03/2024 08:55

@MrsS11 Thank you, i actually haven't had a bath in a long time lol, I do shower I'm not dirty pmsl, but yes I would get a bath temp thing I think what is recommend temp?

Did some more testing last night and today hahha

My boobs are sore today and some upper middle back pain hopefully pass soon I'm 4 weeks today

joining as I got my positive yesterday (though faint) and darker this morning. Due approx Dec 7/8. This is our first month trying after a missed miscarriage in January at 10 weeks. Have no symptoms at all apart from fatigue but I’m only 3.5 weeks so to be expected.

UnicornPrincessSarah · 27/03/2024 09:55

@AH2023 Welcome and congratulations here's to a happy and healthy nine months.

Im 4 weeks today and apart from some cramps and twinges in belly, back and boobs, and the extra fatigue i also don't have symptoms its not uncommon though i don't think a lot really do have symptoms so rarely on

Sorry to hear about your MC aswell
