Had some bleeding over the past two days, so had a wee scan today to check everything was fine. Very relieved that all is good and we got a look at a very wriggly baby. Lots of kicking its little legs about and throwing its hands up. Very reassured after a pretty anxious couple of days.

Emmaev · 14/03/2024 16:00

So jealous you girls have felt your babe! I’m 15+3 and yet to feel baby. Was hoping I might feel a flutter by now as I felt my DD at 16 weeks but no haha.

Still trying to coax the other half into getting an early gender scan but no hope haha. He thinks I’m just really impatient when it’s only really 5 weeks away. 5 weeks is so long away for another scan!

TTCSoManyQuestions88 · 14/03/2024 16:24

@HRP1990 pregnancy in general as it can cause pelvic girdle pain; you're not meant to overload one side at a time too much and avoid single leg work. So squats are fine. If you Google it specifically there's loads of advice online but I never thought it would be a problem in the first place!!

Kofifi · 14/03/2024 16:34

@Emmaev i read today that it depends where the placenta attached. If its on the back then you can feel from ~16 but on the front is usually week 20! So maybe that could be why?

I am SO bloated today. Look more like 6 months pregnant.

Okay that makes sense.. with my daughter I didn’t exercise, I just walked the dog and I had a breeze of a pregnancy! No heart burn, so PGP.. nothing! This time I’m still walking the dog and now doing pilates so I’m hoping I won’t end up jinxing myself and end up with everything 😂

Scan all went well feel so much happier and exited 😄 any guessed on girl or boy 🥰

Congratulations @hol92 🎊
I'm guessing, girl.

MudandMoet · 14/03/2024 17:05

I thought your NIPT would be back by now @Honeyandsunshine1 maybe worth chasing tomorrow if nothing by then. I had to mine and glad I did as she told me they'd sent the email the previous day but obviously hadn't!

I told my bestie today and omg the shock and the tears! She has bagged first place for babysitting duties so that's a conversation she perhaps doesn't realise is now set in stone 😂

MudandMoet · 14/03/2024 17:10

Congratulations 🩷 @Wanderlust86 🩷

Please all is well @BadLobster you must be so relieved after your scan xx

Lovely scan @hol92 I'm guessing boy, what do you think you're having? Any inclinations?

nervouslyawaiting · 14/03/2024 17:25

Lovely to see all the scan photos.

Can I ask if anyone else is under consultant care for BMI - it’s my first pregnancy but I knew I would be under their care due to BMI, just seeing if anyone else will be or has been through the same? My sister has prepped me that they can be pushy but to remember it’s my body and baby.

SC126 · 14/03/2024 17:33

@hol92 i think girl from the nub. I'm no pro though 🤣

WinsandSam · 14/03/2024 18:05

@BadLobster so pleased you had good news. You must be so relieved.
Like you I've had some bleeding and have my scan and consultant appointment tomorrow. Nervous times!

MudandMoet · 14/03/2024 18:57

Has anyone used a 4moms bassinet? There's one for sale near me for £230 and I'm so tempted but would love a review or two.

What’s the gestation in this photo? Because anything after 12+5, I’m going with girl as the nub is parallel/pointing down 💕

Lillers · 14/03/2024 19:01

Really looking forward to going away tomorrow, but it hit me this evening that I’m going to be in a car for a long time! I’ve put together a little car survival kit: sick bag, mints, boiled sweets, crisps. I’ll have my water bottle with me as well. Can anyone think of anything else I should have in my survival kit?!

Yeah, 5-10 working days and we’re about to end working day 6. Maybe I’ll call tomorrow afternoon? They said they’d call me to discuss results though so I doubt an email AND a call could be misplaced 🤔 was that the plan with yours? A call to follow up email despite the results, or just an email + a call if anything came back high risk?

Honeyandsunshine1 · 14/03/2024 19:06

@hol92 According to the theory, boy nubs point upwards/away from the spine from about 12+5 onwards which yours doesn’t.

Don’t swing for me if I’m wrong though 🤣 the nub on my 13 week scan photo is very girly, not a single boy guess, however gender is still unconfirmed meaning I can’t fully back the theory. I already have 2 boys so, we’ll see 😂

Is there a nub obvious at all here? I was 12+4 x

@Honeyandsunshine1 email and letter for me but I rang after 4 days and she was happy to tell me over the phone.

Butterfly2000 · 14/03/2024 19:50

I'm really having a baby! 😍🥹 12weeks and this is our first scan today
The tears started as soon as I saw baby. So excited

Oh ok, thank you for the info! Hmm, I might chase them tomorrow then. Can you tell I have the patience of a puppy? 🥸😂

Hmm, I don’t think I can see one here 🤔 have you tried the free Facebook groups? Most of them you can post anonymously! (I’m very new to this nub theory lark so don’t consider myself as knowledgeable as them 🤣) x

Pickle2024 · 14/03/2024 22:00

Hii all - I’m new here 😊although I’ve been reading for months. Between the mad levels of nausea and the anxiety that I was making it all up, I wasn’t ready to comment before now! Scan today, 12+4 :) had to wiggle around, walk up and down stairs, jump and take a 20 min walk to get everything we needed. Also had to eat some sugary food - not turning down an opportunity for medically approved cakes, sweets and milkshake! So many gorgeous scans on here today, congratulations all ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for explaining this - the lines on the picture are so helpful! It’s the first time I’ve understood what to even look for
