I’ve booked the gender scan for 5th of April now, that’s a little bit more than 2 weeks from now. I read the thread last night and saw some really lovely names. I know I said before that I wouldn’t be nominating names until I find out the gender, but having the scan booked in and seeing the chat bubble with such nice name ideas got me writing some names down again.😅 To be honest I have more girls names up my sleeve than I have boys. Even though I think I’m having a boy. I will share some of my girls names below, I will add the pronounciation on the side for the confusing ones. These are obviously of foreign origin. Most are Latvian, some are Romanian:
Aurelia,
Saiva (Sae-wa)
Astrid, Ingrid
Daila (Dayla)
Laila (Layla)
Laima (Lie-ma)
Sophie, Sofie
Karla, Karolina
Jade (I absolutely love this name, but if it’s a girl I can’t use it, because the Latvian laws of grammar will annihilate it to “Dzeida “.😭
Malvine
Allegra (Italian, but a very strong name)
Aida (after Hades, Greek god of afterlife)
Emma (would honour my grandmother)
Minna (like Mynn-a, very old Latvian name)-would honour my great grandmother.
Last night my partner was all over my belly, because it has POPPED. I last few days it’s grown much larger, it’s taking in volume now. I am 15+3 now and yesterday was the first day I wore one of them maternity Jeans that didn’t fit before. @HRP1990 all my maternity jeans are from H&M and I really like them all. They are stretchy and cosy! The material doesn’t feel cheap either. I have been wearing one pair of H&M maternity jeans for 3 weeks now, I’m wearing them for work and so do feel like they grow with me.
@Cinai
that is really shameful. I also went to a private doctor because I wasn’t able to get myself checked with NHS, this was pre-pregnancy. And the private doctor advised I need this, this and that investigated and sent a letter to my surgery and had me booked in under NHS. Apparently this is not so uncommon, which is disgraceful.
@Jojod12 welcome, that’s a really long time to be lurking from the bushes 😂😅
I can’t believe we’ve all made it to @Lillers NHS scan, this is a milestone for this thread to be honest. It’s satire obviously but I would have lost my cool if I had to wait for an NHS scan for so long. Knowing me I would be pulling a Karen and ringing all sorts of numbers by now.
Congratulations to all who recently had their scans. 🥰
