I mean, I wouldn’t totally discredit them (I know it’s a 50:50 guess anyway) but I sent mine in and I got 90% girl back, and here I am with a confirmed girl so 🤞🏻 you might get to honour your nan afterall!

longingtobe23 · 15/03/2024 18:21

@Honeyandsunshine1 think it’s total disbelief 🫢 so it won’t sink in until I see it on a screen!
ekkkk what are the odds on her birthday and a girl! X

rupertbear91 · 15/03/2024 18:27

Thanks anyway @Honeyandsunshine1 trust my child to be the awkward one 😂 I will have to wait for 3 weeks till our gender scan 😬

BadLobster · 15/03/2024 18:27

Congratulations on all the recent scans!

I found out today that we are having a baby girl!! 🥰🥳 I obviously would have been so happy either way but I secretly wanted a girl. She was measuring bang on 15w4d that nhs had me at too except for her legs. The sonographer said she will be tall with long legs as they were measuring a week ahead.
My partner doesn't know yet as he's working. I've bought the cutest little baby girl outfit and will wrap it up for him coming home. I also found non alcoholic espresso martinis in sainsburys to celebrate.

Good luck for all the scans coming up!

Omg, how did the announcement go?! 😍

Honeyandsunshine1 · 15/03/2024 22:15

Thank you @MudandMoet and @Kate543 im honestly stunned. I feel scared 😂 and happy. And completely shocked. I was mentally prepared for 3 boys! Not a girl. 😆 xxx

What a wonderful week we’ve had scan wise! Is anyone still to have their 12 week scan in the next few days?

Is anyone else feeling in a strange limbo? I’m 13 weeks on Monday and apart from extreme tiredness, and a bloaty bump, my symptoms have gone. I just feel normal, albeit tired and in stretchy waistbands. It feels very strange to think that nothing is going to be checked in there for almost two months. 🤔

Mine’s not till Monday! It will be at 12+4.

I am hoping my symptoms will go soon! This has the been the worst week of all. Real resurgence in the nausea, some dry heaving and actually sick for the first time. I think my fatigue lifted for a few days though!

I’ve loved seeing all the scan photos lately. My NIPT scan was at 10+4 and it’s incredible how much happens in 2 weeks.

longingtobe23 · 16/03/2024 10:32

I had a scan at 10 weeks and then 3 weeks later and wow the difference was amazing! So so much bigger no wonder we are all shattered 🫣

I have started to feel SO sick I was in denial lol - but I have really been heaving / gagging. What on Earth is that all about, I had nothing all first trimester why on Earth now 🥵

MrsM89 · 16/03/2024 11:03

12week - 20week is definitely weeks of feeling in limbo. Im just 14 and it seems ages since that scan (maybe cause I was having them every 2 weeks from 5-12weeks) now I feel like I've got ages to wait.
Sickness had slowed but the last two mornings have been full on again. Everytime I attempted to go in the bathroom for a shower I was sick. 🤦‍♀️

Going to a baby show locally to look at a pram tomorrow. Anyone making purchases yet? X

Not yet! What ones have you been thinking of/looking at? We need a double that folds up as small as possible but doesn’t break the bank = almost impossible 😫 I think I’m going to try local selling sites and Facebook pages to see if anyone is getting rid of one secondhand closer to the time. So just putting it out there, if anyone has any recommendations for small folding doubles, please holla @ me! Xx

Emmaev · 16/03/2024 11:10

@MrsM89 i definitely agree that 12-20 is like a limbo. I’m 15+5 now and it just seems forever to wait.

I know that from 20 weeks though it’s gonna get wild, I got real sick with DD at 29 weeks so I know the added appointments and scans will come thick and fast

MrsM89 · 16/03/2024 11:21

@Honeyandsunshine1 i had a bebecar stylo class with my son and daughter but the carry cot was white and being 9 years old it's discoloured. The chassis however is fine - I had both classic big chassis and a smaller compact one and bebecar are at a show in Norwich so im going to look as they say they will sell ex display carrycot from £100 (same pram is now £1000 new) bargain.

Sadly I know nothing on doubles. How close in age are your little ones? My friend had a bugaboo double which she loved.

I’m looking at the Bugaboo donkey.. I’m after a side by side rather than a top and bottom, and it’s the smallest I’ve seen so far. I also like the option of making it a single too for say when my daughters at nursery and I only have one with me. (You can take one seat/bassinet off so it goes super narrow!) fairly expensive but I’ve seen them for £400ish on fb!

MrsM89 · 16/03/2024 11:27

@HRP1990 thats the pram my friend had. Uses as a single now but was a good double x

HRP1990 · 16/03/2024 11:29

@MrsM89 thats good to know! I see it used alot as a single with a little basket next to it.

Have you seen the yoyo double pram? It looks hilarious - imagine two strollers attached to each other, one in front of the other. So strange lol

MrsM89 · 16/03/2024 11:39

Yes that's how she uses it.

Haha that does look odd. Xx

Kate543 · 16/03/2024 12:32

We looked round prams the other day and my daughter had a great time test driving them 😂 I think we are going for the cybex gazelle because we also will need a double and I wanted them not side by side can take one seat off and it becomes a single for when toddler is at nursery

Mine is on Tuesday. Excited to get a proper due date and hopefully a clearer picture. The one I got on Thursday looks like a peanut in motion!

WinsandSam · 16/03/2024 22:03

@BadLobster I'm the same! My symptoms have gone (I'm 12+5.) I no longer have nausea, tiredness or sore boobs. Feel energetic and back to my old self! Still mega bloated by night and have a disgusting taste in my mouth.
Have done for the past week which is lovely.
Had my scan yesterday so know all was well which has reassured me.
