Seems we got to the end of a thread. Not sure if a new one has been set up.

@Trifficult It's a bundle of laughs isn't it 🥴 I've not had much nausea yet thankfully but apparently it often starts after week 6 so we will see! P.S. love the name - is it Bluey related by any chance? Xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 29/02/2024 14:10

@Strawbs92 I'm sure they'll offer you a scan at 6+2. It's just such an anxious wait. Let us know

CluelessInLondon · 29/02/2024 14:06

@Strawbs92 I'm sorry to hear that, it's totally understandable that you're feeling anxious about it. Spotting in early pregnancy is really common so keeping fingers crossed for you that it's just that and nothing to worry about. I hope the EPU get back to you soon. ❤

Thank you, that is very kind ❤
With my first i had a bit of brown spotting and all was okay.
So to see pink is a bit alarming 😪

Thank you, hope you are okay x

Thank you, will do.
She did say there are scans available over the weekend so that is reassuring. I was having a scan next week at 7+1 anyway with my fertility doctor for a scan to check all is okay.
Just praying this is all okay

tryforbabynumber2 · 29/02/2024 14:14

@Jammymare I haven't told them yet but I'm only 5+4 so will hopefully be waiting until closer to 12 weeks. I think it depends what kind of job you do though in terms of risk assessments etc - I'm in an office based job so minimal risk xx

tryforbabynumber2 · 29/02/2024 14:16

@Strawbs92 I know it's pointless saying "try not to worry" as of course you will, but wait to see what the EPU say ❤️ Spotting can be totally normal in early pregnancy but of course it's worth getting checked to make sure all is okay xx

Thank you, i will let you know how it goes. It is so hard as no one knows except my husband and I. x

@Strawbs92 It's so hard at this early stage when nobody knows. I'm finding it hard to keep it a secret but we want DD1 to be the first to know and don't want to tell her too early just in case xxx

That is very exciting! I am the same, i want DS to know first ideally. Gosh why is pregnancy such an anxious time! xx

tryforbabynumber2 · 29/02/2024 14:28

@Strawbs92 I thought it would be easier the second time round but I'm still just as anxious! Xxx

Having one of those I don't feel pregnant days. These are the slowest weeks ever .....

Me too. The absolute worst

I’ve had to tell 3 people at work because I’ve cancelled a work trip and wanted to give the reason so I don’t look flaky. Big relief that I decided not to go as wouldn’t feel comfortable being in china if anything went wrong with no WhatsApp etc to talk to family.

I’ve got my first scan next Friday when I’ll be 6.5 weeks, massively keeping my fingers crossed that the dr will say it’s ok.

Joey2011 · 29/02/2024 15:03

I am struggling with work as it is fairly physical. I work in a bar and restaurant at a hotel. It often results in very late nights. We are undergoing a massive referb too atm which is resulting in more walking to get things.
I'm exhausted and most days having double naps. It also doesn't help that I have a very bad cough atm too so that aswell is exhausting 😴
I havnt told work yet. I only ended up telling them last time as I was in the middle of a mmc. At 11+2.

A few people know, 1 of which is a good work colleague.

I'm just counting down the days till Monday when I go for my early scan. 🤞everything progressing as it should. I'm certainly getting the nausea and boob pain and they often feel on fire! And ofc the exhaustion.

Not sure when I will tell them. Probably at 12weeks. And will try to manage work until then the best I can.

WickWood · 29/02/2024 15:25

@CluelessInLondon
Twins! That's amazing, congratulations!

@Strawbs92
Fingers crossed everything is okay, as others have said, it's very common! Hope you get seen soon.

GiantRoadPuzzle · 29/02/2024 16:53

I’ve told a couple of friends and my mum & that’s it. Mainly cos I’m feeling so shite.

If I’m still feeling like this next week, I’ll have to tell work as I’m getting to the point of needing time off. I’m trying to see if I can get away with one day in the office at the moment but my team are really flaky so seem to think that they then don’t need to be in.

TinkRose · 29/02/2024 17:43

Hi - just found out this weekend that I’m pregnant, I think I’m 5 +2. I haven’t really got any symptoms other than reduced appetite and I’m tired (not unusual to be honest) which is worrying me a bit!

aussiegirl89 · 29/02/2024 18:52

Good luck @CluelessInLondon I've got everything crossed for you xx

I am 9 weeks +1 too and had a scan yesterday. I was so nervous but told the technician and she immediately let me know that there was a heartbeat so that I could relax

It was amazing as we got to video the sound of the heartbeat and see how much it's grown!

Turns out I have a subchroionic hematoma which can be common with IVF and may explain why I had bleeding a few weeks ago.

Luckily it looks like it's shrunk now

CluelessInLondon · 29/02/2024 18:57

@aussiegirl89 Thank you. ❤️ Just a few hours to go, really hoping to see that everything is still on track. That's great news about your scan and that everything is looking good. ☺️

KittyFantastica · 29/02/2024 21:05

Hi all, I had my early reassurance (why do they call or that? Why?) scan today at 6+4 and there's nothing in the sac.

I'm facing the next few weeks growing an empty hole while EPU drag their heels to confirm it. I feel absolutely nothing. The devastation will hit properly in the next couple of weeks, no doubt.

Just wanted to say I wish you all the very best.

tryforbabynumber2 · 29/02/2024 21:12

@KittyFantastica I'm so sorry 😢 sending lots of love and hoping they don't make you wait xxx

Nic2908 · 29/02/2024 21:32

@KittyFantastica did they not give you any hope at all? I’m so sorry.

@KittyFantastica I'm so sorry to hear that - I hope you don't have to wait too long to confirm what happens next. Be gentle with yourself in the meantime. ❤️

IsLarryFromSomething · 29/02/2024 21:38

I'm sorry Kitty x

Strawbs I hope you're ok, fingers crossed everything is fine!

October73 · 29/02/2024 21:58

@Ellenn - just checking in on you to see how you are (I’ve changed my username from Phoenix73, as I deleted everything a week ago when i thought I was miscarrying) - I know you said you had a follow up scan Sunday, hope you’re ok 🫶🏼

YellowHedgehog · 29/02/2024 23:21

I should be 7+4 now and still waiting for any symptoms to start really. Last night started spotting and it's been on and off since, it's not much and light pink/brownish. I know it's normal to have spotting in early pregnancy but with no symptoms just don't believe it's going anywhere at all.
And I mixed up my dates, went to have my first midwife appointment today and when I got there they told me it's next week! I was so sure it was today as I had checked the appointment about ten times but I completely forgot to check the date, all I saw was Thursday and stupidly thought it was today. Hmm Checked the text I got last week and it clearly says 7th March. I think I was just too eager to go!
