@hol92 I literally found out on Sunday so someone saying "how many weeks are you" is still really really strange. All I did was pee on a stick and see some lines.... buuuutttt I think based on last period and the nhs calculator thingy I am 5 weeks (that was Sunday so do I say 5+3 now?)

Ha yeah my only real symptom is the absence of a period. I still feel like it's going to turn up. I had some period like pains last week which I thought was it coming, several days, but it just didn't get worse at all and then went away.

MrsB2019x · 24/01/2024 19:06

8 weeks today and symptoms are in full swing! Boobs hurt, nauseous, either starving or donโ€™t want to eat anything. So irritable and sensitive too. My 2yoโ€™s tantrums seem to have really ramped up over the last week and Iโ€™m struggling to keep a lid on it!

Xur · 24/01/2024 19:11

I bought some apples today, and I just ate them all in one sitting and now I can feel the gag reflex creeping up on my throat. Ugh.
There are no other circumstances in which I would eat more than 1 apple at once. Unless theyโ€™re in a dishโ€ฆ
Week 7 eh.
When my mom was expecting me she once ate two whole bushes of rhubarb in two daysโ€ฆ

SC126 · 24/01/2024 19:16

I was saying I had no symptoms week 4-5. Regret it now. Nausea really hit this week and I'm so tired. I went bed at 8pm last night.

rupertbear91 · 24/01/2024 19:22

californiacooper · 24/01/2024 16:46

@rupertbear91 is your scan on sat 3rd?? I just booked one for then too!! I estimate I will be 7+0 (but that's based on last period not ovulation so it's not so accurate) hopefully it's far enough along to see something I don't think I can wait any more, want to see that it's real, as at the moment it feels like I'm someone else and not me (first baby, age 36.5, in the middle of IVF and conceived naturally eak) so I don't quite believe it really.

9am on Sunday 4th I will be 7+0 based on period but I tracked ovulation and from my temp rise I will actually be 6+5 so hoping I see something. I'm so nervous though.

MudandMoet · 24/01/2024 19:24

Me too, was complaining of no symptoms until a week ago (I'm 8+3) but the waves of nausea are a joke now. Not actually been sick or gagged but that random funny sicky feeling is unnerving when you have to go about your day to day business.

Salt and vinegar hula hoops and mini cheddars seem to save the day for me - gone right off sweet stuff.

Also, I did the chicken breast stuffed with stuffing and wrapped in bacon for tea with mash, green beans and gravy, didn't enjoy it at all (bar the mash and gravy) and it's usually one of my faves :(

Caroline2023 · 24/01/2024 19:30

Just trying to catch up on everything!

@Nic17 wonderful news ๐Ÿฅฐ

@emmatcc1 sorry that you are now in this in between limbo phase. Really hope you get good news next scan.

@californiacooper my scan is also next Saturday! I will be a bit earlier than you, 6+4. A busy weekend next weekend with @rupertbear91 also having her scan!

@longingtobe23 oh bless you, I can definitely relate to that. I cried at work today over nothing ๐Ÿ™ˆIโ€™m a hormonal wreck haha

ForeverHopeful67 · 24/01/2024 19:37

@MrsB2019x couldn't of said it better myself. I'm 8/9 weeks and I'm definitely struggling with this constant exhausted / nauseous state every day! My body doesn't know whether to stuff my face or not eat anything at all.
I feel like I'm neglecting my 2 year old too as I just don't have the energy to play with her as much as I usually would ๐Ÿ˜” X

Demi55 · 24/01/2024 19:50

hey everyone; had my booking appointment yesterday at 5 weeks. Ended up being sent to A&E for possible ectopic. Currently going through testing and had a scan today. They saw an empty sack in the uterus so have more bloods tomorrow to see if my hcg levels increase. Iโ€™m really hoping itโ€™s not ectopic!

siobhanmt247 · 24/01/2024 19:55

That sounds really scary @Demi55 . I hope you're doing ok and fingers crossed for the follow up

Demi55 · 24/01/2024 19:58

@siobhanmt247 itโ€™s been a little overwhelming, had so many tests, so much blood taken. Ended up going to the scan mid way through the day today and when they couldnโ€™t rule it out it has massively increased my anxiety

SC126 · 24/01/2024 20:09

@MudandMoet this is me too. Not actually sick but just nauseous all day. And I feel starving but can't bring myself to actually eat much. Trying to concentrate at work is impossible.

MrsB2019x · 24/01/2024 20:36

@Demi55 Oh no how worrying, the fact they have seen a sac in the right place is reassuring though. Hope you are okay and have some answers soon x

HRP1990 · 24/01/2024 20:42

This is super random but is anyone watching the traitors!? Itโ€™s SO good, stops me mid snack ๐Ÿ™ˆ A really good distraction in the evenings if you need it lol

Demi55 · 24/01/2024 20:44

@MrsB2019x it took them a while to find it but I was happy when they found the sack. Iโ€™m just hoping itโ€™s not a pseudo sack. Iโ€™m just praying that the HCG levels double. Iโ€™ll have the test tomorrow and get the results Friday. Thank you! Xx

MudandMoet · 24/01/2024 20:53

@MadsAngel welcome to the thread ๐Ÿฅฐ

@Demi55 hope all is okay and definitely not ectopic xx

@SC126 I meant tagging you in my last post ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ I do eat plenty because I do find the nausea goes as soon as my tummy is full. Are you getting much sleep? I'm not and the concentration levels are shocking here too xx

@HRP1990 yessss girl! 7 mins and counting!!!!

@MudandMoet I'm not looking forward to going off food that I like!!! Hopefully the nausea doesn't last too long for you

@rupertbear91 @Caroline2023 omg I can't wait for all our blurry pics of tiny blobs ๐Ÿคฃ

@ForeverHopeful67 okay it seems like 8 weeks is when the nausea/tiredness is hitting for most of us so you guys up ahead of us are there already we just need to enjoy it while we still feel okay I think!!

@Demi55 so sorry to hear that, hoping things are where they need to be.

@HRP1990 I don't know anyone NOT watching it! 2 mins... ready and waiting !!!!!

HRP1990 · 24/01/2024 21:00

Yes girls!

Get your mini cheddars ready!! @MudandMoet

@HoneyandSunshine he was SO annoying lol but omg wasnโ€™t he so good at the game!?

@californiacooper Literally! I have nothing else to watch Saturday - Tuesday haha

californiacooper · 24/01/2024 21:09

@HRP1990 OMG no spoilers DH has just decided to start taking the bins out so we have paused it

ForeverHopeful67 · 24/01/2024 21:12

@californiacooper it definitely seems that way! I'm sure I read online or an app somewhere that 8 weeks is usually the weak HCG levels peak and you tend to feel your worst symptom wise - certainly feels that way anyway ๐Ÿคฃ

You're 5 weeks aren't you? I think my symptoms started kicking in around then and were definitely there by 6 weeks!

doitjustice95 · 24/01/2024 21:33

Hi all, joining back here after a few days break from a nasty chest cough, thank you all for the suggestions and advice! Itโ€™s honestly weirdly surprising how much medication you need to be cautious of once pregnant! Honestly herbal remedies all the way!!

Just catching up on all the news of the scans and updates! Feel so lovely seeing all the scans and thinking of all the lovely memories growing!

I am currently 6/7 weeks performed a test a few nights ago because I got stupidly anxious due to lack of symptoms and literally peeโ€™d on the clearblue test and before I could even get up to wash my hands a big fat positive staring back at me. Honestly so fast even my hubby was saying โ€œthat was quick?โ€ Haha. So I guess the HCG levels are still high and present!

But I have lost my bloating and back pain, I do have the odd day where it returns but itโ€™s not as consistent as it was on week 5/6. New symptoms however are sore boobs, honestly chose not to wear a bra today as it just felt really uncomfortable. Other than that itโ€™s just the flatulence.

I am avoiding the early scans at the moment until the 12week one, just have adopted the mindset that if itโ€™s written for me then all will be well. And I do have my first midwife appt next week so hoping that goes all well.

californiacooper · 24/01/2024 21:57

@ForeverHopeful67 yes 5 weeks I think. When they scan will they be able to get a bit of a better idea of the duration or is it way too early for that??

@doitjustice95 glad you're back!

Bakerbean · 24/01/2024 22:02

It sounds like a few of us have the same scan date! I have my first scan on Saturday 3rd too, I think we will be 8+5 (ish). I canโ€™t wait to just know whatโ€™s going on in there.

Finding it hard to keep up with responding to things individually as there are so many names here now, but really enjoying reading everyoneโ€™s updates and just wishing everyone the best every day โค๏ธ

My nausea hit SO bad this evening (7+3) for a few hours - was sat in bed with a bucket just waiting to be sick but thankfully it passed. I was feeling really anxious in weeks 4&5 having no symptoms but they started creeping in at week 6, and now in week 7 Iโ€™m having mild nausea most days and have super tender boobs. Wonder what week 8 will have in store!

MudandMoet · 24/01/2024 22:19

@californiacooper tbh it's so nice to finally feel something that makes me think I'm pregnant but I'd say definitely enjoy every single moment of not having that weird nauseous feeling xx

@HoneyandSunshine I did! Smug tw@t - I couldn't wait for him to go!

@HRP1990 had my mini cheddars and even managed a coconut macaroon or two who do you think they've murdered? Can't believe it's only on for two more nights ๐Ÿ˜ญ

@doitjustice95 glad your a little better, I don't blame you for waiting and do fully agree that a scan changes nothing and what will be will be. My early ones are purely at the request of the medical team because of my weird uterus and history of MC. I still think well a scan changes nothing if it's not meant to be but I'll take them as they come.
