Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

Got an appointment for 8:50 tomorrow morning. But bleeding is now heavy and there's clots so I assume by the time I'm seen it will be over. X

VT6 · 16/01/2024 12:51

@Chaz693 I’m so sorry 💔

siobhanmt247 · 16/01/2024 12:56

Labyrinth86 · 16/01/2024 13:11

Hi @cd24x congratulations!!! And how coincidental - it's such a rare condition and we're both in a thread expecting in September. I'm really sorry you went through the same experience and reassured that the EPAU took you seriously - I did ask mine when I was in the middle of recovery whether they would monitor me more frequently/earlier if I did get pregnant again and they said yes so you're right, I really should call them. And another coincidence that we have little ones roughly the same age too! I feel like we'll be able to relate a lot over the course of our pregnancies 😊

hol92 · 16/01/2024 13:39

Thank you everyone for all your lovely messages. I'm now getting lots of big clots so I'm sure that this is the end for me. I hope you all have great pregnancies and enjoy the bundles of joys you get in the end. I'm going to focus on being greatful for the child I do have and let myself heal. Thank you again for all the support! Xx

Puddingpie1234 · 16/01/2024 14:08

Xur · 16/01/2024 14:46

Ladies,
the anchovy is anchoving! Doctor said the size is on point, we saw and heard the heartbeat, scanned vascularities and all is good! The doctor did prescribe me progesterone because it’s my first pregnancy. So yeah, relief!

VT6 · 16/01/2024 16:05

@Xur not far ahead of me then! I’m 5 weeks 3 days…. I’m still debating an early scan but they aren’t cheap 🤣

MudandMoet · 16/01/2024 16:25

@Xur fab scan! Pleased your little anchovy is doing great! 😊

Xur · 16/01/2024 17:25

Thank you all for the nice words and the good vibes!
I was given due date of 9th of September.

RedFox24 · 16/01/2024 18:15

@Xur congratulations, how exciting! Do you mind me asking if it was a private scan and, if so, how much it cost? I’m 6w3d and waiting another 6 weeks to wait for a scan seems too long to wait!!

VT6 · 16/01/2024 18:24

@RedFox24 they are £90 in my area

ForeverHopeful67 · 16/01/2024 18:36

@Xur yayyy congratulations!! 👶🏼

Xur · 16/01/2024 19:05

It was a private scan and it was actually done abroad. We are on holiday. It was pennies to be honest we paid about £40.00 we have another one booked next week, in a posh clinic that will be £80.00.
The Best bit was that these scanners they have here are much newer than the ones I’ve seen in UK. You don’t even need to have full bladder for the early scans. The technology is so sensitive even for the abdominal scan.
but I know that in my area in UK (I live in the Cotswolds) the scans do range from £90 onwards. If you want just like a growth scan that is literally all it is for the £90. The closest and best private hospital is probably over £300 as I have a private gyno there and he told me a transvaginal ultrasound there costs about £400. The abdominal is a bit more simplistic so is likely under £400.
