Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

I really am regretting testing early now it's not showing on a cheap clear and simple test and I am due on Thursday/Friday I am 11dpo should I be worried about this? :/

I also can't see much of a darker line with these :( regretting telling my husband, how much darker should it be?

The top one is yesterday x

@hol92 those lines look fine for 11dpo, and hcg only doubles every 48 hours. So if you think you may of got a line at 10hcg and today may only be like 15. It's such minimal changes per day at this point. Xx

hol92 · 16/01/2024 10:01

@MrsM89 thank you so much for the reassurance I've never done tests early so not sure what to expect, the clear and simple I just looked are 20hcg so maybe it's just still too early, I keep getting cramps and I think it's just really throwing me off thinking AF will come x

Labyrinth86 · 16/01/2024 10:26

Hey everyone,

I found out earlier this week I am expecting baby number 2 around 28th September. It's my third pregnancy. DD was my first ever pregnancy and she will be almost 3 when this one is born.

TW: Molar pregnancy/cancer scare

Unfortunately my second pregnancy (due March 2024) turned out to be a complete molar pregnancy - these are very rare (1 in 600 pregnancies) so I'm not trying to scare anyone but for me it is a very real concern that I could have another one because the chance of having a second is 1 in 100. Trying to be optimistic but molar pregnancies are a whole ordeal. Basically something goes awry at conception and what should be a baby and placenta is a pre-cancerous tumour that (cruelly) releases bHCG so the woman keeps getting positive prgnancy tests and the body thinks it is pregnant. I found out in an early scan at 8 weeks. I had to deal with losing the baby I thought I was having and, due to the risk of it becoming cancer, I had a D&C at 9.5 weeks and then had fortnightly blood tests for two months waiting to reach negative bHCG levels. They do this because there is a 5% chance it could turn into cancer and require chemo. Luckily mine didn't :) and I was cleared to try again in November 2023. Here's hoping this one is like my first pregnancy which was textbook.

Morning, just following as found out expecting baby no.2 - due around 25th September :)

MrsB2019x · 16/01/2024 10:33

Scan done and everything is great! Little beansprout is where they should be and had a heartbeat 🥰 measuring 7 weeks (I’m 6+6 so about right). I’m so relieved.

Good luck for yours today too @Xur !

siobhanmt247 · 16/01/2024 10:40

Im sorry to hear that @Labyrinth86 that must be scary. Have you got people you can talk to? I know it's not quite the same but there are a few here that have experienced loss before and are an anxious mess, myself included!

Just wasted my second digital test. I got 2-3 weeks last Thursday so I knew I probably wouldn't get 3+ today but had to check!

VT6 · 16/01/2024 10:46

@siobhanmt247 ive got one digital left and I’m trying to hold off doing it until I should get a 3+ 🤣🤣

Labyrinth86 · 16/01/2024 11:00

@siobhanmt247 Thanks for the kind words. I'm sorry to hear you've also experienced a loss. Yes, I'm in a Facebook support group for women in a similar situation 😊 I'm terrible for being impatient about taking pregnancy tests too - Boots do some very cheap HCG strips that I use between using more expensive ones so I don't have to abstain completely 🙈

@Puddingpie1234 congratulations! We're due around the same time too!

@MrsB2019x Congratulations! Really pleased for you!!

SC126 · 16/01/2024 11:16

Apparently my local epau are a bit rubbish. Took me all morning to get through to self refer for a reassurance scan and earliest appointment I could get is 12th Feb. I'll be 10 weeks then. Hardly reassuring. Think I'll defo just pay for a private one.

Chaz693 · 16/01/2024 11:21

Nurse called and went through everything with me. Said I'd recieve a call in the next 72 hours and they'll let me know when to come in for a scan. Im hoping they call today and give me an appointment for today. As I can't sit in this limbo for three days. Plus my partner is only off work today to have my son so i could go to the scan. Otherwise I'm going to have to tell my sister what's going on and she didnt even know I was pregnant x

Xur · 16/01/2024 11:22

@MrsB2019x omg I’m so happy for you!!
Its also nice to know that your own counting is on point with the picture

MudandMoet · 16/01/2024 11:36

Hi all new ladies - congratulations!

Lovely scan pic @MrsB2019x 💕 good luck with yours later @Xur

Sorry to hear some of you are bleeding, it's the cruelest waiting game wondering if it's a 'normal bleed' or something sinister. Ive my fingers and toes crossed for all of you. I know everyone is different but my personal experience of MC is that when I've had them nearer 5 weeks I've had really bad shoulder pain and lower back pain and mild pink to red bleeding but totally different at 9 weeks - the pain was all lower abdomen and put me to the floor, it was sheer agony and I've a decent pain threshold I'd say, the bleeding was like nothing I've ever known and big large clots. It actually makes me feel sick thinking about that one.

@VT6 yesss! I can't sleep for toffee these days. I'm a terrible sleeper anyway but jeez since finding out about this pregnancy I'm awake all hours - for hours! Driving me insane, I just want a few hours solid sleep! 😫

Demi55 · 16/01/2024 11:38

Hi everyone, can I join! I’ve done a digital this morning and it’s positive! I should be due the 25th of September :) this is my first baby so any advise is high appreciated! I have no idea what happens next. Also, I have no idea when to tell my closest family, I think having their support will really help.

VT6 · 16/01/2024 11:39

@MudandMoet as awful as it is, I’m glad I’m not alone! I’m exhausted and struggling to stay awake by 9pm then I wake up in the night and bam that’s it 🤣
The nausea is unbearable today aswell!

If anyone has any suggestions on how to keep the nausea at bay I would appreciate it, first pregnancy so need all the tips 🫣

Lemonyfire · 16/01/2024 11:39

@Labyrinth86 how scary I really hope you get booked in soon and can have some early tests

@Chaz693 let us know how you get on about you xxx

@hol92 those boots tests are slow to progress! Mine took ages to get really dark on those!

I’ve had some spotting this morning, trying not to freak out as had it with my other pregnancies ( both good and bad) and know it’s normal for me but can’t help it. Have had a really busy day at work (work in the community so haven’t even had a chance for a wee so can’t check if any more) which has distracted me a bit

Puddingpie1234 · 16/01/2024 11:55

aaah @Demi55 same due date :)

Puddingpie1234 · 16/01/2024 11:56

@Demi55 I'd say telling your closest family as soon as you feel ready. I told my mum & my best friend last time as I felt I needed someone to know!!! It's a nice secret between you & husband/partner for a while however

cd24x · 16/01/2024 12:12

Beautiful scan pic @MrsB2019x you must feel so reassured!

@Demi55 welcome!

@Chaz693 hoping you get a call and an appt soon.

@Labyrinth86 I experienced a partial molar pregnancy this time last year and had to go in for medical management of miscarriage at 9 weeks. It's less of a cancer risk than a complete molar, but risk is still there. But luckily I was same as you and 6 months of blood/urine tests showed no further treatment needed. I was cleared at end of Aug 23. So i understand some of what you're going through if you ever want to chat. I'm now 4+4, having a lot of anxiety, but have got an early scan at EPAU on 26th. Definitely call your EPAU and book in for a scan. They didn't even bat an eye when I told them I was 3.5 weeks when I rang. Also similarly, I have a DS who will be 3 in May and no problems during my pregnancy with him!

Demi55 · 16/01/2024 12:16

Thank you @cd24x
@Puddingpie1234that’s exciting, I’m not sure if my due date will be pushed back a little as I didn’t get a positive ovulation until CD 16. And yeah I don’t know if to tell them this week or pay for a private scan for around week 6-8 and then tell them then.

MrsB2019x · 16/01/2024 12:22

@Chaz693 Fingers crossed they will see you today, the limbo is the worst!

@hol92 In your second pic the bottom test is definitely darker than the top one. Try again tomorrow then compare tomorrow’s test to yesterday’s and you should see a difference ☺️

@Labyrinth86 That sounds so frightening! Fingers crossed this pregnancy is nowhere near as eventful. Will EPU scan you early due to your history?

Welcome and congratulations to all new joiners!

Puddingpie1234 · 16/01/2024 12:29

@Demi55 Oh very strange, I was also CD16 for positive ovulation ha ha.
From my experience last time, they'll only ask the first date of your last period and then they'll tell you what your expected due date is based on where you are :)

doitjustice95 · 16/01/2024 12:30

@emmatcc1 I have the same radiating back pain with a small sharpish pain on the left just above my hip, could be that I’m not drinking enough water but this pain has started from last night. The back pain seems to come and go and doesn’t help that I carry this heavy rusk sack into work. But I’ve been doing trial and error to see what helps, will report back if I’ve found a solution. Keep me posted in case you do as I actually took your advice to not sit cross legged as much and that helped a lot last week

doitjustice95 · 16/01/2024 12:32

Hello @Demi55 :)

Welcome!! You’re not alone here, it is my first too, and I found out early last week so have been really going through the motions since finding out.

Congratulations whilst this new news settles in!!

emmatcc1 · 16/01/2024 12:35

@doitjustice95 I think it might just be from gas and everything shifting inside. Gotta keep in mind that the uterus grows more than the baby. At 7 weeks it’s already doubled in size.
