Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

@Lemonyfire How far along are you? Maybe hcg is too high, have you tried diluted urine?

@emmatcc1 I thought I was around 6 weeks but scan indicated more like 5 so probs about 5+3 now. I did a non digital at the same time and it was super dark, I don’t think I can bring myself to do any more and dilute so will just have to see what happens!

so I got a faint positive on 9dpo then a CB digital positive 1-2 at 10dpo. My period would be due today and CB digital has changed to 2-3 so hopefully that’s good!
just worried as it’s my first pregnancy and don’t feel any symptoms whatsoever at 4weeks but I know it’s still very early!
just desperate to tell family but terrified of a MC.
was thinking about booking an early scan just for my sake.. what week would this be best on if anyones had one before?

@Chaz693 I bled pink with DD and all was okay. Hope you manage to get checked out tomorrow 🩷

Trying to sleep and anxiety is seriously kicking in about the scan tomorrow. I was never this nervous when I got an early scan with DD. I’m having these thoughts like, maybe my body already knows something is wrong and that’s why I’m so anxious. Hard to describe really 😔 8:30 cannot come quick enough

@Chaz693 bleeding isn't always bad news, but I know how you feel after mc. I've got my fingers crossed for you xx

I flew with my eldest, probably around 4 or 5 weeks? Maybe even 6? He’ll be 4 next week ❤️

@MrsB2019x we will be thinking of you! Hopefully some of the nerves are also butterflies/feeling of excitement!

Hey gang, just trying to catch up properly!

How is everyone feeling? Do any of you have scans or assessments coming up? Those who are feeling a bit down and worried, what’s your favourite go-to bit of self care? And what are your next steps in terms of investigations?
I’m sending you all a huge huge hug ❤️ sometimes when I’m feeling shit and anxious, I like to write down my next steps and how I feel about it and what self-care indulgence I’m going throw myself into, in between ❤️❤️ so I’d love to hear yours ☺️

Have heard anyone talk of this yet but I occasionally get lower back and abdominal cramps that feel just like period cramps. They only happen once maybe twice a day and my whole lower back and where intestines are hurt but my uterus is fine. Is that from gas? I’m not constipated I have quite soft stools once a day.

The only symptom I’m having at 4wk 1d is really sore nipples..
I always get them tender during PMS but they’re extra tender these days 🤣
also feel like my boobs are massive sometimes then look normal other times 🤣
no crampy pain or nausea or anything yet

@emmatcc1 I have the same and put it down to gas. Peppermint tea is helping xx

Anyone else suffering with insomnia? I’m waking up up around 4am to go to the toilet then that’s it, I can’t for the life of me get back to sleep. It’s driving me crazy

I have woken up this morning to blood when I wipe, so far nothing in between but have out a pad on to monitor. I do have stomach cramps but doesn't feel to dissimilar to my first pregnancy early on. Maybe more tender than cramps.

From what I've read even at this stage miscarriage is likely to be heavy and clots. Is that what others have experienced? I'm only 4+1 based on dates so a bit late for implantation bleeding and it's not spotting.

I wish i hadn't tested yesterday and then i would just think it was AF and then be none the wiser or pleasantly surprised later on.

Sending positive thoughts to everyone experiencing similar uncertainty atm

I MC at 7 weeks and it was so heavy & the pain was crippling xx

@VT6 busy day at work unfortunately and already much heavier. But that's for the wishes, keeping things crossed here too

@emmatcc1 I had radiating lower back pain basically every day last week, this week it has stopped.
nothing weird or wonderful has happened since then, I guess I’ll find out today after scan.
i read on the internet that can also be the uterus bands expanding. Most people get these pains at the front as a pulling sensation, but some people get them in the back.

@MrsB2019x same here literally same thoughts going through my head yesterday and today! Good luck once again!

I am having some nausea today morning for a change.

@itsmylifeitsnowor might be worth a trip to EPU? It's not unusual to have bright red (and heavy!) bleeds from subchorionic hematomas as well - basically blood pooling at site of implantation. Would be good to confirm what's happening.

So I've called EPU as doctors were useless and told me I need to call them directly even though they don't take self referrals. Luckily the lovely women told me that she'll get a nurse to call me back and they should be able to get me in for a scan. Bleeding has got a bit heavier but still no clots and no cramping. Although I'm not holding out hope. Just want it confirmed so I can not be in limbo anymore. X

@Chaz693 thats good epau are going to see you. It's best to know what's going on as bleeding is always so worrying to see as we naturally fear the worst. How far are you? X

@MrsM89 I should be 5+5 today. As horrible as it sounds I'd rather just know it is a miscarriage and not have this little bit of hope it isn't. Hopefully I won't be waiting all day for a call and they'll get me in today. As the bleeding appears to now be getting heavier and is now red. X

Just got my midwife booking in appointment for 20th Feb. Seems ages away 😩

@SC126 how far gone are you?
mines the 29th of this month which feels a lifetime away so I can only imagine how you are feeling xx

@VT6 I'm 5 weeks + 4 days so still early but I'll be quite far by time my appointment comes round. She did say I'll be able to self refer for an early scan at epau due to my history so will try and ring them but if not I'll pay private.

@SC126 you need to be seen before you are 10 weeks for certain tests - that’s what the booking in appointment is for (that’s what I’ve read on the NHS)

I’m 5 weeks + 3 days and have my first appointment when I’m 7 +2 weeks xx
