Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

@Lemonyfire yes I was on the fence about skiing, obviously my mind has now been made up 🙈

So after my test going from 3+ down to 2-3 I of course took 3 more ( what am I made of money) and another this morning and still says 2-3. That plus the scan being behind what I thought I was is not giving me a good feeling 😣

1600 >,<. tomorrows a wasted day aswell, just because of the waiting. I know I won’t be able to focus on anything else apart from the scan.

Gosh I'm so sorry you're in such an uncertain and worrying situation. What will you do now? Have you contacted your doctor to check?

@HolyMoly24 the GP won’t do anything so I’ll just have to wait for another scan in 2 weeks 😫

@Lemonyfire so sorry to hear this, were all tests FMU for like for like comparison? Could it be the 3+ was just a rogue one maybe? My first baby I went for a scan thinking I was 6 weeks and I was actually only measuring at 4w4d so quite far behind where I thought!

@Lemonyfire i have read a lot of stories of people never getting 3+ and it being fine. I don’t think it’s entirely accurate. Hopefully that’s the case for you.

Hi everyone :) i hope it's okay if I join, I just got my digital confirmed pregnancy I have actually tested when AF isn't due until Thursday which I've never done and now I'm panicking because I keep having period style cramps did anyone else test early and have these?
I told my husband today as it took us 2 years to fall with our first band this one on our 4th cycle so I just can't believe it! Exited and also anxious x

@hol92 welcome and congratulations!!! Yes I tested 5 days before AF was due and when she was due I was sure she was going to come with the cramps I had, but she didn't :)

I tested the day after my period was due as I was convinced I was coming on due to back ache and slight period like cramps before hand. The test was just to put the thought that I “might” be out of my head then it was a very strong positive 🤣

Just a quick one. I spoke to my local midwives who said I can take the 5mg folic acid along with my pregnacare vitamin which also contains 400mcg folic acid.

In case anyone else who has been advised to take the higher dose was wondering the same xx

@hol92 I had period cramps quite intense before and after af was due.

Just catching up on messages and @Nic17 that was an emotional rollercoaster reading your messages! I went from gutted for you to super happy! Haha goodness knows how you must be feeling - so happy for you.

@Cat2022 the last few days I've had pretty persistent cramps too - try not to worry!

@Lemonyfire with my first I was expecting 3+ but only ever got 2-3 and also at my scan when I thought I was around 8 weeks I was only showing as 5 ish weeks. My daughter will be 3 in March - hope that gives a little reassurance!

Just gone to the toilet and when I wiped there was blood. Not a lot but it was pink. I should be 5 weeks 4 days but this is not a good sign. I don't know what to do. I don't have a midwife yet who do I call?

@Chaz693 hello lovly where r you based normally ring your local maternity hospital have early assessment rooms you can go in to be checked get a early scan hope all ok xx

@Chaz693 I wouldn't assume it's a bad sign either! It's not that unusual. If you're worried you can call EPU in the morning?

@Lemonyfire CB are notorious for not giving people 3+ even though everything is fine!

I'm based in Hertfordshire. I can't go anywhere tonight as it's just me with my son who already in bed asleep and there's no one that can have him. I'm going to call in the morning but i feel this is probably going to go the same way as my other two miscarriages. This is how they both started. I knew something was wrong when I took a test this morning and it still said 2-3. But I was hoping I was wrong.

Think I'll wait till the morning if the bleeding gets worse I'll call and see what they say.

@Chaz693 hey I am bleeding too at 6w 2d but a&e weren’t concerned as my hcg blood levels are perfect, I have a scan on Thursday. Do you have any cramping? Even with cramping and blood it can be nothing the doc told me bleeding is so common in early pregnancy obviously it’s also common time for a miscarriage but if you still have pregnancy symptoms and the cramps aren’t too bad I hope you will be ok. How much are you bleeding? Are you filling a pad? Xx

I only noticed it when I wiped it was pink and no cramps but I've been having them on and off. I don't think it could be implantation bleeding as it's too late for that. My boobs have stopped hurting but they weren't exactly overly painful to begin with. I want to hope that it's okay but having had this happen twice before I know it's likely to be another miscarriage. Had no bleeding with my sons pregnancy. And he's the only one I have. I'll call in the morning if it's heavy just to confirm it. X

@Chaz693 sounds the same as me I am getting cramps on and off and pink when I wipe I’ve had light spotting in my knickers but nothing huge I just dislike how much blood is on the tissue. I recall my miscarriage before and I had it at 5w 3d and I was bent over with pain nearly crying when it passed and there were lots of clots xx

@1111hope I've put a pad on just incase but I'm trying not get my hopes up. I guess my experience with my last two miscarriages was very similar. I don't remember ever have really bad cramps and I miscarried later around 6+3 with both of them. I'll be calling my midwife team in the morning I think. Will just have to see what they say. I'm hoping if the bleeding stopped they'll still at least book me a scan. X

@Chaz693 did you bleed heavy with your miscarriages? I’m panicking about me as my cramps aren’t super painful they are on and off and light - ish. Blood is just when I wipe mainly tiny bit of spotting in my pad (not even close to a period) xx

@1111hope with both my miscarriage it started with bleeding but I remember it being bright red from the start. I don't remember being in pain at all really. And the bleeding was heavy and had clots. The first miscarriage I went to an and e and the next day had a scan at the epu where they confirmed I'd miscarried. The second one as soon as I started bleeding and it carried on getting worst I knew I'd miscarried again and because I hadn't even been in contact with the midwives yet to book my first appointment I didn't bother and just went to the GP. He wasn't very nice and literally said to me it's very common but unfortunately these things happen and sent me on my way. X

@Chaz693 hope everything is okay. I'd give epau or midwives a call in morning with your history of mc they should offer a scan or repeat hcg bloods to check levels are doubling normally. Fingers crossed for you. Xx

thanks for the reassurance everyone, I think my anxiety is that I did get my 3+ and it’s now gone to a 2-3, I think if it had never gone up I might not have been so worried but makes me think things have gone down
