Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

@Nic17 no bleeding yet. I have a scan tomorrow that was already pre booked

siobhanmt247 · 11/01/2024 08:18

@Fawklight i was convinced I was going to miscarry for weeks with ny first born but she was fine. Cramping is so normal. Try not to panic

HoneyandSunshine · 11/01/2024 08:51

@Fawklight ❤️❤️❤️ I hope it’s just some normal stretching and pulling. What makes you think it could be a MC? Giving you a big hug ❤️

Alice33 · 11/01/2024 09:12

I'm currently 6+1, first time pregnant and don't have any symptoms which I'm finding pretty stressful. I worry that it means I have miscarried or ill go for the scan and will be an empty sac. I have 3+ on the pregnancy test tho really wish I had a bit of morning sickness so it would all feel more real!
Wishing you all the best.

TTCnewbies · 11/01/2024 09:52

Thank you all for your kind messages. It's really nice to have a space to chat because we've not told anyone in real life just yet. So the bleeding has stopped although I no longer have sore boobs and am feeling pretty crampy so I've convinced myself this pregnancy is not viable. I decided not to work today and have sent a request for the GP to call me. Our EPU is not walk in, it has to be referral. I'm not sure what the next steps will be, I'm hoping GP will have me in and maybe refer me for a scan next week..I'll be 6 weeks on Tuesday. The stress is unreal though. But if it's not meant to be then I guess it's better to know sooner. Thanks for all the love. I will keep you all updated.

siobhanmt247 · 11/01/2024 09:57

@Alice33 i think a few of us are in the same boat after a loss before. Just try stay positive, you're pregnant until proben otherwise. You could also look up some pregnancy affirmations

Juno231 · 11/01/2024 09:58

@Alice33 promise that if you had morning sickness you'd just be miserable AND still worried it's a missed miscarriage!

4+5 here now and it's finally starting to sink in! Loooong way to go though.

SouthwestSis · 11/01/2024 09:59

Also having a stressful day today, I noticed I wasn't having any symptoms yesterday and was anxious after my early loss at the end of last year.
Bought a clearblue and did it with first wee this morning and it said 1-2 weeks even though by dates I would be 4+6 by now.

I know I could have ovulated late but I know roughly when as I was LH testing, and I had my first positive pregnancy test 8 days ago now!

Worried my HCG is static or falling. This limbo is horrible. Supposed to be working from home today but can't concentrate. Going to try to wait until Sunday morning to do another clearblue as I bought a 2 pack, and hopefully I'll see some progression

Cat2022 · 11/01/2024 10:04

@Fawklight I understand your worry. If it is any reassurance my MC didn’t start with cramps. I’ve been having cramps too but they say normal at this stage due to implantation and growing uterus.

MudandMoet · 11/01/2024 10:18

Just catching up on the thread.

Congratulations to the new joiners and I'm so sorry for those going through the horrible anxious time of bleeding/spotting 💐 It's so so worrying this early stage and I don't think any of us are fully relaxed about it all yet. Really hope everyone is okay.

@Alice33 @SouthwestSis I too don't have any symptoms or feel remotely pregnant. It's so hard not to worry but we need to think positive! We got this girls! 👊🏼💕

Alice33 · 11/01/2024 10:49

@Juno231 haha probably! Maybe best to at least well while racked with anxiety about a miscarriage

I don’t have any symptoms too, if that helps you at all. Aside from my missed period and the tests, I’d honestly not believe I was pregnant!

SC126 · 11/01/2024 11:44

No symptoms here either. It's not helping my anxiety much but hearing other people are in same boat is helping a tad.

MrsB2019x · 11/01/2024 11:50

I only really got sore boobs in the last couple of days and I’m 6+1 today. Other than that, not much going on!

Khanga27 · 11/01/2024 12:12

Hi all.

So after my positive scan yesterday I’ve had a little brown discharge today and I’m really really stressed about it in case it’s the start of another miscarriage. I called the EPU and they said to try not to worry and to keep an eye and let them know if it turns into fresh blood or clots. My anxiety is through the roof and I can’t focus on work. Has anyone else had this and it’s been okay? I’m 6+4 weeks

Megan004 · 11/01/2024 12:15

@TTCnewbies and @Fawklight really sorry to read what’s been going on, understand the stress and worry. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts ✨

Conrgats to all the new joiners! 🌈

I got my booking appointment through, I’ll be 9 weeks. Out of interest, do you generally bring your other half along to this first appointment? X

TTCnewbies · 11/01/2024 13:47

Thank you.

I've been to the GP. They got me to do a pregnancy test and took my blood pressure. He's referred me to the EPU and I should hear from them today / tomorrow about getting a scan hopefully. Will keep you all posted. Bleeding has stopped so I'm trying to remain hopeful.

MrsB2019x · 11/01/2024 13:54

@TTCnewbies Sounds good for now 🤞 please look after yourself tonight and hope you get a scan through soon x

Chaz693 · 11/01/2024 14:13

Just got my booking in appointment. I'll be 9 weeks. It's also at 8:15 in the morning! God help me! I'll be still asleep in the appointment! Just got to make it to the appointment. X

emmatcc1 · 11/01/2024 14:42

Nausea is definitely starting to kick in more and more everyday. I’m so anxious as I have a doctors appointment for something else when I’ll be 8+3 and it’s over an hour drive and in the morning. I’m thinking of trying sea band to see if it helps.

MrsB2019x · 11/01/2024 14:47

@emmatcc1 I wore those in my last pregnancy and while they didn’t get rid of the nausea, they definitely helped to take the edge off

Juno231 · 11/01/2024 16:43

@Khanga27 quite a few of the ladies in my last MN pregnancy group had both brown and fresh blood and we're absolutely fine! My close friend has brown discharge all through her first trimester and her boy is now 16 months old :)

cd24x · 11/01/2024 16:58

Hi everyone, can I join in? I've been reading through everyone's posts and decided I need people to talk to as I can't tell anyone else yet!

I got my positive on Tuesday at 11DPO after a long wait after experiencing a miscarriage due to partial molar pregnancy this time last year. So I am super anxious about it all. Symptoms so far have been sore boobs, a bit of cramping, loads of discharge (TMI, sorry) and backache. Due date is around 20th September and I think from reading this might be one of the latest due dates at the moment?

I already have a scan booked in with EPU on 26th Jan when I should be 6 weeks due to my history. But it feels like such a long wait!

I already have a DS who will be 3 in May, so can't wait for him to be a big brother.

Khanga27 · 11/01/2024 17:03

Thanks @Juno231. My anxiety is sky high as it’s just after seeing the heartbeat and since the scan it’s been a little achy too. I think it was someone in training at EPU doing the scan as the main sonographer was directing where he needed to go. There were a few occasions that I had to say it felt uncomfortable, then at the end the main sonographer took over. I’m so scared the scan has caused the start of a miscarriage or something.

Bearcub01 · 11/01/2024 17:07

@Khanga27 was it an internal scan? That may have irritated something.

I had some brown spotting last week. Just some discharge with the lightest tint of brown in it, no other symptoms and it’s stopped now so haven’t bothered calling the GP or anything. They usually say brown blood is old blood so nothing to worry too much about.
