Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

@Bearcub01 yes was internal scan. They reassured it didn’t go very deep at all before the scan, but then during it on three occasions I had to say how uncomfortable it felt. I rang EPU and referenced this but they said that the scan shouldn’t cause anything as baby is well protected and probe isn’t going near. But it doesn’t help how I am feeling today.

TTCnewbies · 11/01/2024 17:27

Well I haven't heard a peep from the EPU and tbh I've been feeling pretty rubbish all day and I've now started bleeding again. I do feel more and more like this is the end for me sadly. I'm hoping to hear from them tomorrow so they can confirm what I'm fearing. This journey is so tough. My partner has been amazing and so supportive but I'm not sure I will be able to deal with this when we try again.

siobhanmt247 · 11/01/2024 17:58

@cd24x I'm due 20th September too. I have a 13 month old :)

MudandMoet · 11/01/2024 18:34

Hi! For those with no symptoms please try not to worry, I've had my first scan today 6+4 and there's a little sticky bean baby with a strong little heartbeat, I was so sure they were going to tell me it wasn't a viable pregnancy due to lack of symptoms. We're just lucky she said and to make the most of feeling so well in this early stage that can be so hard for others. Baby is the right horn of my stupid weird uterus but in a safe position and she gave me a due date of 01/09/24 which is our prediction too.

I have another scan in 2 weeks to check things over again.

@Khanga27 how are you feeling now? Any more discharge?

@Megan004 I didn't take my DH today, Im very independent (too much so apparently!) and not good with fuss but he can come to the rest now (if we get that far 🤞🏼) some ladies were sat alone and some with their fellas so it all depends what's best for you I think. I couldn't wait to get out and send him the scan pic so I did for a nano second wished I had asked him to go.

The baby is on top of the yolk sac (the bottom bubble) 7.5mm at this stage!!

SC126 · 11/01/2024 18:38

@MudandMoet ahh this is so reassuring for me and I'm so glad to hear all is well and in the right place for you!

Khanga27 · 11/01/2024 18:40

@MudandMoet lovely scan pic congratulations.

Ive had nothing else apart from a little clear discharge again. I know my anxiety is sky high after my MMC in August and I should try get comfort that we had a good scan with heartbeat yesterday, but I’m just so nervous that the scan has done something and that this has been a sign of the start of another miscarriage. I guess it’s just been quite triggering for me. The midwife and EPU have both tried to reassure, and my DH thinks we should take comfort from that. I know he’s right but it’s just so hard to not read into every little thing and expect the worst.

KittyFantastica · 11/01/2024 18:53

Evening all. I think we are about to go through some heartbreak. Top test was taken at the weekend and the bottom test is today after a very faint strip this morning. I managed a four hour hold today and then did the bottom one.

I don't have any symptoms, but I know that means nothing. I feel broken. I'm probably about to be made redundant as well, so feeling a bit rock bottom. At least we know we can do it, I guess.

@KittyFantastica i remember your username from the start, I’m so sorry if what you’re thinking is true. I really hope everything is ok and your baby is well and truly in there, growing away. Big huge handhold for you🩷🩷

HoneyandSunshine · 11/01/2024 18:58

delighted for you @MudandMoet It must feeel such a relief! 💛 how many weeks were you dated today? Xxx

TTCSoManyQuestions88 · 11/01/2024 19:04

Hope it's OK if I join too :) I'm not sure of a due date as I haven't had a regular period in the last 18 months, none in the last 3 months, but test is showing 3+weeks pregnant! So should be due September by my calculations. We were depressed because of TTC not working and only had sex a handful of times in the last 2 months so not too difficult to pinpoint the time of conception lol.

The nausea and fatigue are very real! I exercise a lot normally and I am struggling to do half of a normal workout!

MudandMoet · 11/01/2024 19:09

Thanks Ladies - means so much. This board is just amazing for me being able to air everything and be able to openly speak about the pregnancy and all the ups and downs that go with it 💕

@Khanga27 I know it's easier said than done and I'd be the same as you I'm sure in your position but please try not to worry, the probe doesn't get as close as you think to the baby, I'm sure it's coincidence and the scan won't have harmed your little snuggled in baba xx

@KittyFantastica I have everything crossed that all is okay for you job and baby xx

@HoneyandSunshine such a huge relief 💕 I'm 6 weeks 4 days today which falls exactly with what we thought from tracking ovulation etc. xx

HoneyandSunshine · 11/01/2024 19:13

Aww wonderful!! 🥰🥹❤️ so chuffed for you, you can kick your feet up and have a lovely, relaxing evening.

Sorry if you’ve already explained this but was this at the EPU? Did you have a pre-booked appt?

Also, when did you ovulate? My app says I’m 6+4 today so would be interested to see if this is true/we ovulated around the same time 😻 xx

HoneyandSunshine · 11/01/2024 19:14

Shit, forgot to tag you above @MudandMoet 😂

HoneyandSunshine · 11/01/2024 19:14

Also welcome @TTCSoManyQuestions88 and everyone else upthread who has joined 🫶🏻🥹

siobhanmt247 · 11/01/2024 19:16

@TTCSoManyQuestions88 im struggling to recover from workouts too!

MudandMoet · 11/01/2024 19:24

@TTCSoManyQuestions88 congratulations on your BFP!

@HoneyandSunshine no I've not already said so ask away chicken xx ....

Yes it was at our local hospital EPU (women's health unit I think they call it too) I had my checking in appointment with the midwife yesterday and she rang them and asked if I could have an early scan because of my broken uterus, they said today (no choice and I wasn't going to not go no matter what I'd got planned)

I ovulated on the 10th December (I can always tell because I get terrible ovulation pains) and we DTD this day (and three days prior) but I'm 99% sure my conception date is 10/12/23. Does this match with your times too? Xx

MrsB2019x · 11/01/2024 19:49

@MudandMoet What a beautiful scan picture! Congratulations! 😍

@KittyFantastica Really hoping for the best for you, baby and your job xx

Kate543 · 11/01/2024 20:01

@Khanga27 with my first I had brown blood for almost a whole week and it was fine I think I was like 7/8 weeks if that helps? They said brown means old blood but 🤷‍♀️

HoneyandSunshine · 11/01/2024 20:22

Oh wonderful 🥹 @MudandMoet will you be closely monitored throughout due to your uterus? So nice you got a picture too! I’ve always been too scared to ask in the past at the EPU, and they’ve never offered.

I get ovulation pains too! Only sometimes actually. And December I had the worst cramps on the 14th so I’m 99% I ovulated then, and we’d only had sex the 7th, 12th and 13th, therefore I must have conceived 14th onwards. So I might be just a few days behind you - I think my app thinks I’m 6+4 as it predicted I’d ovulate on the 10th.

Thank you for sharing though, this really helps me 🥰🥰❤️❤️

Lemonyfire · 11/01/2024 20:26

@MudandMoet what a lovely picture!! How exciting!

Hope everyone is doing well today.
@Khanga27 I had brown discharge with my two successful pregnancies and was always told it’s old blood and can be from irritation ( I would get it after a scan/sex/exercise) I think even though the internal scans feel uncomfortable and like it’s pressing hard, it’s not going to do any damage- they have to be so aware :)

@KittyFantastica keeping fingers crossed for you, I had is it isn’t lines for a few days and really did take a while to darken x

doitjustice95 · 11/01/2024 21:35

Hello @KittyFantastica
I just read your post and I am sending you huge hugs and love. I remember you responding back to my posts and just wanted to let you know I am praying for you <3

MudandMoet · 11/01/2024 22:06

@MrsB2019x @Lemonyfire thank you 🥰

@HoneyandSunshine yes I'll be closely monitored because of uterus shape (apparently my womb is severely tilted too) also we've been trying for years and never got past the 9 weeks mark. I think they'll scan me every month after my next scan on the 25th. I asked the sonographer if I could take a pic of the monitor today to send to DH and she just said I'll print you some out instead. 🫶🏻 they were all so lovely today, it depends who's on on the day I think as to what experience you have at EPU xx

Khanga27 · 11/01/2024 22:14

@MudandMoet @Lemonyfire thanks, I’ve had nothing since this morning so hopefully it was just something working its way out like some implantation bleeding that’s got stuck or something and been disturbed by the scan. I’m exhausted today from worry so fingers crossed I’ll sleep and feel calmer tomorrow.

MudandMoet · 11/01/2024 22:21

@Khanga27 understandable that it made you worried. I know Id be the same. Hope you manage a decent nights rest and do wake up feeling calmer and more settled tomorrow xx
