Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

Strong positive on the latest test so I think I might take my watch off so I can't see bbt. Also feel sick now but it's stil so early

Lemonyfire · 10/01/2024 09:25

It’s stressing me out that I really don’t any symptoms apart from stinging nipples 😂😂 should be 5+5

KittyFantastica · 10/01/2024 09:27

I'm 4+2 and my tests aren't getting any darker. They did initially, but haven't probably since second day of testing. Today is day 6 testing with fmu. I haven't tracked bbt or anything as I didn't know that could indicate much.

Also had horrific news yesterday that they're making half my company redundant and I wont know for another 3-4 weeks whether I have a job. My current job is fully remote and absolutely ideal, so I'm heartbroken.

Lemonyfire · 10/01/2024 09:33

@KittyFantastica my tests didn’t get darker for a while- drove myself crazy testing. There’s such a huge range of normal! Sorry to hear about your work stress, really hope it’s okay

Sydney1988 · 10/01/2024 10:00

@KittyFantastica I’m so sorry - I have just emerged from that stress - they left it hanging over us for 6 months before learning I was safe (for now). Fingers crossed for you x

SC126 · 10/01/2024 10:10

@Lemonyfire i dont have any symptoms really either. Only sensitive nipples like you. Stressing me out but my tests are still super strong at least.

It's so awful, I'm sorry that happened to you. I've been through it before with my previous company during Covid as well. I wasn't made redundant, but they cut my pay by 20% and my commute cost almost more than I was paid to go in, so I had to leave. Can't believe lightening bad struck twice.

Starlight11111 · 10/01/2024 10:45

@KittyFantastica do not worry about the tests, a line means you are pregnant. I am so sorry about the situation with work, that is awful. Try and stay as zen as you can for the pregnancy xxx

3ornotto3 · 10/01/2024 10:59

Hoping and praying you get the good news at your job @KittyFantastica 💛

and amazing @Nic17!! I also got mine yesterday so clear blue shall have no money of my money thank you 😂

im really struggling with lack of motivation though ☹️ I already have kids so I guess that’s making me tired, but in December (pre-pregnancy) I was studying, going to the gym, volunteering at a charity and even set up my own food bank for the month. I was constantly on the go and was so happy and motivated, but now, I’m struggling to find the push to do ANYTHING. I’ve been lucky not to experience any nausea, but I really hate this symptom. I miss my old “get up and go” self 😣

My partner works 2 days/2 nights/5 off, so he’s around to help a lot thankfully, but I feel like a lot is falling on him at the moment and I’m struggling to motivate myself 😔

MudandMoet · 10/01/2024 11:21

Morning Everyone.

I'm just back from booking in with the midwife (1hour 20 mins!) I have to take extra folic acid and vitamin D and she wants me to start taking aspirin from 8 weeks (currently 6+3). I've got a scan tomorrow afternoon. So worried it'll be a little empty sac like previous times but I do have a good feeling about this pregnancy compared to last I'm not sure why!?

@MrsB2019x I am also disgusted by how much I am eating at present! I'm just constantly grazing between meals and I think I ate my body weight in peanut M&M's last night!

Lemonyfire · 10/01/2024 11:30

@MudandMoet good luck for scan tomorrow!!

Your midwife saw you early :) In my previous pregnancies I was 10 weeks which felt very late- especially for my first! , I filled in the form on Monday as my husband kept moaning at me to and I got my booking in appt - I’ll be just over 9 weeks, and my scan and I’ll be just over 12 weeks eek. Have to say I had a little freak out when the appts came through as it suddenly feels very real

Juno231 · 10/01/2024 11:57

@Lemonyfire I barely had any symptoms my last pregnancy (enhanced sense of smell!) and have none so far either - best way to go really! Symptoms don't mean anything anyway as you could still have them with a non viable pregnancy.

Just got allocated a booking in appointment at 7+ weeks! With my old midwifery team which I'm really pleased about. Makes it feel more real.

MrsB2019x · 10/01/2024 11:57

@MudandMoet Oooh good luck with the scan tomorrow! Can’t believe how early you got seen. When I self-referred the email I got back said someone will be in contact with me around 10 weeks to arrange booking in 😵‍💫 feels so late!

Starlight11111 · 10/01/2024 12:06

@MrsB2019x my referral confirmation said similar! It says to expect nothing before 8w and to call if heard nothing by 10w, which doesn't fill me with hope 😂

Bearcub01 · 10/01/2024 12:31

@3ornotto3 I am the exact same with motivation! I only work part time 09:30-14:30, but I’m going home and going straight to bed and watching TV instead of getting any house work done. I have myself the house is a mess, but I just have no motivation, I’m exhausted putting away a small wash load, I’m trying to hype myself up to get stuff done but in the end I just want to rest!

3ornotto3 · 10/01/2024 12:52

@Bearcub01 Thank you, it helps to know I’m not alone and not just being lazy. Although, wouldn’t wish this upon anyone so I’m sorry you’re going through it too! I’m normally soooo motivated and buzzing to get things done, I usually thrive on having a list of to-dos, but like you I can’t even hype myself up to clean properly. It’s doing my head in. I wonder if it’ll ease off when we leave the first trimester? I also read that it could be to do with the extra progesterone floating around. No idea, can’t wait to leave this stage though I can’t lie 🫠

Chaz693 · 10/01/2024 12:54

I also have no motivation to do anything. Just about made the nursery run. Was meant to go out and do some shopping but instead I've come home. I just don't want to do anything today other than nap. Which is really annoying because I've got so much I need to do! Also just feel really emotional today! Hormones I assume. X

MudandMoet · 10/01/2024 13:01

@Lemonyfire @MrsB2019x it definitely does feel more real with the appointments coming in, I'm over 40 and with the heart shaped uterus thing I think that's why they've seen me early and with the losses. I think tomorrow's scan is just to see if it's a viable pregnancy with where the little bean is situated. Will let you know tomorrow for sure. Definitely would have been an appointment at 10 weeks otherwise and a scan at 12 which when you think, we find out around week 4 it does seem such an unfair long wait!

It's such a shame that the excitement of a scan is almost always overshadowed with the anxiety of previous appointments results. Send me lots of baby dust girls!! ❤️😘

Khanga27 · 10/01/2024 13:22

Hi all: had early scan today with EPU, and saw a heart beat. According to Flo I’m 6+3. They said it’s difficult to get measurements accurate this early but looks like between 5 and a half and 6 weeks which they said is around in line with dates I provided. I know it’s still very early and a lot can happen, but I do feel a little more hopeful than I did given Augusts MMC. Just need to try and deal with the nausea that’s ramped up the past couple of days. Considering telling parents soon I think.

WolfMother326 · 10/01/2024 13:37

Thank you everyone for the nice comments on my scan photo ❤️

@MudandMoet fingers crossed and everything else for you tomorrow!

@Khanga27 so glad it went well, that's a lovely feeling. Will they see you again?

I keep attempting to go to the gym and then I just can't seem to get the energy to do so.

I to just want to sleep all the time. I feel guilty as my son wants to play and I'm just so tired I have to push myself to do it.

Chaz693 · 10/01/2024 13:40

I'm the same feel so bad for my son! I feel so lucky that he's in nursery at least for 3 hours that he gets some sort of socialising. I promised myself I'd tidy up today and put the washing on but I just can't find the energy to move from the sofa! I know it's just part of this early stage and I'll feel better once the first trimester is over but I need to find a way to get myself moving lol!

Khanga27 · 10/01/2024 13:48

@WolfMother326 Thank you. They have said they have no concerns at all so unless I get any spotting or other concerns it’s just the 12 week scan next unless we do something private. We have been discussing going private for NIPT, which comes with a scan. Has anyone else thought about this?

WolfMother326 · 10/01/2024 13:51

The tiredness is unreal. We are packing today for a trip to see my family in the US. Trying to juggle cleaning the house, watching 2 year old son. I'm exhausted!

@Khanga27 I did the NIPT test in first pregnancy at 10 weeks at Birth Company in London and it was so reassuring. I plan to do it again. I know people who have had false negatives on the combined/nuchal tests and I'd rather have all the information.

3ornotto3 · 10/01/2024 13:53

I honestly want to snap out of this fatigue/low motivation state. Do I just lug myself to the gym? I feel so lazy and meh. When I got my bfp was overrrr the moon excited but these hormones are kicking my ass 😫
