Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

Hey everyone! Just been scrolling through reading everyone’s messages! I found out I’m pregnant on New Year’s Day! Was a bit of a shock. I have one son already he’s 4! It took two years of trying to conceive him so this surprise baby was lovely! I’ve also had 2 previous miscarriages before him so I’m an anxious mess! Hope you’re all doing well! I was just wondering when did morning sickness start for you all? As I keep have bouts of nausea but can’t tell if it’s from being pregnant or something else as I feel it’s too early. I didn’t have any with my first! X

@Chaz693 congratulations! I only had nausea with my other two pregnancies and haven’t had it this far with this pregnancy :)

@Willow89 I hope you’re okay, I think you’re right that baby is well protected, I’d be more worried about your other injuries so maybe worth getting checked if in a lot of pain ❤️

Thank you! It feels like a life time ago since I was last pregnant and like I've forgotten everything! I'm considering booking an early scan as I don't want to tell anyone until I know everything is okay for sure but can't decide if I should wait till 8 weeks or just book for 6 weeks. I forgot how much this time drags! Feel like it's been weeks since I found out! But this is nice place to be able to talk to people who understand what it's like! X

It's my first time and I don't really feel sick, I've had few times where I felt nausea but not really now. I'm about 6 weeks. But I do have the boob heaviness. The fatigue 😩. I don't know if it's too early or my body just rejecting however for some reason I can't eat ham or onion anymore makes me gag if I do😂

@Jeyla1230 I only seem to get nauseous when I haven't eaten for a bit. Or just before bed. I've always hated the smell of bacon being cooked in the morning (which is weird normally) but now the smell of bacon is enough to make me have to lay down or I will throw up! So I've banned it from being cooked in my house much to my partners dismay!

I keep getting cramps and it I spend more time in the bathroom panicking somethings wrong but so far no bleeding! So fingers crossed! Can it be 12 weeks already please! X

My hunger sometimes is just something else 😂one minute I can be hungry a little bit then next I'm absolutely starving 😂😂. Oh I'm glad I'm not the only one with food ☺️. I was the exact same as you panicking but I stopped now, people on here are very nice and helpful. Reassured me that as long as no bleeding cramping is normal. I know right? Feels like it's dragging!x

@Lemonyfire I would wait until 8 weeks. I know it’s hard waiting but it should hopefully make it a better experience as any variation from expected dates around 6 weeks cause more anxiety waiting for a rescan.

@Cat2022 i had HG with my first too! I’m 6 weeks now and nothing yet, I get a big gaggy sometimes but that’s it. I’m worried. I was fully ill by this point last time so worried something is wrong, but then should also be grateful and hopeful it’s not coming as bad this time!

@Willow89 I hope you're feeling much better today, it must have been a shock. I think baby will be well protected but if you're worried or still in pain, get checked out. They may be able to suggest something for the pain.

I'm 5 weeks exactly today. What does everyone think of this line on clear and simple? I haven't been taking tests since the weekend I found out (3 cheapies and a confirmed clear blue digital)

I also found out I’m pregnant on New Year’s Day.

I’ve had light nausea about 3 times. One last week, one yesterday and one now, it’s manageable however.
I have been experiencing tiredness on a daily basis, light cramping/pulling sensations and pain in my breast just for a day. They’ve been sensitive but not really painful.

Nausea has kicked in this morning 😩 it’s manageable but I have quite a phobia of sick and it takes over my life a little bit. So I’m hoping it doesn’t progress into much else!

@TTCnewbies I’d try a different brand of test tbh, from scrolling on here I’ve never seen a dark line on those tests

@Cat2022 yes you’re right will try and wait longer! With both my other children I was scanned early at EPU ( 5-6 weeks) because of bleeding and a Hb was seen but nothing much else! and then we paid for an early scan at 8-9, hoping I can get away with just the 8-9 scan this time!

My nausea is very mild only happens here and there not everyday. But this morning our dog decided to poop on the floor and while cleaning it I threw up my breakfast now I’m hungry again.

@emmatcc1 if my dog did that that’s enough to make me throw up even when not pregnant so I really feel for you!! I remember she did it once in the playroom a couple of years ago and I was gagging as cleaning it up 😂😂😂

I've been testing since I found out on the 4th and, initially, the lines were getting darker but now they're all just so faint still. I've noticed that my urine seems very diluted, even after an overnight hold. I can't seem to get it concentrated to see if that makes a difference.

Also just found out my company is making 600 redundancies this morning and there's a decent chance I could lose my job. I'm struggling not to panic.

Just checking in as not been active for a few days on here. My only symptoms are still just tender boobs and a raging hunger! Also still thirsty a lot but no idea if that's pregnancy related or not. MW tomorrow I'm 6+2 today x

@KittyFantastica maybe they stop getting so dark after a while. Are you over the 5 weeks? Sorry to hear about the redundancies. Fingers crossed for you

I feel really rough today. Was a bit worried I hadn't had as much tingling in my boob's and they weren't as swollen but I feel so hungover today

Fatigue seems to have hit this morning. Along with the nausea. 5 weeks today and I feel like I've not slept in a week and could throw up at any moment. Which is all very reassuring but at the same time is going to make running around after my 4 year old fun!

Thanks @MudandMoet my appointment is quite late, at 5:30, but I hope it will be reassuring.

In other news I did get the 3+ today. I should be somewhere around 5+2 so I suppose it makes sense and now I'm officially DONE testing, it was making me crazy. Thanks @3ornotto3 for sharing that chart, it does help to see. Particularly when you Google normal HCG range for 5 weeks pregnant is between 200-2700! Huge variation. I got a 3+ with both my previous pregnancies, one worked out one didn't, so logically I know it does not matter and I'm glad now I can put it behind me.

So, I have a really high sex drive, DH is a lot lower and* he's happy with once a week. Due to previous losses and the desperation for this baby to stick I have been happy with once a week and a very 'toned down' version at that. I've read that sex can't hurt the baby in any way but I'm taking no chances this time! Now for the technical bit, I feel like if I'm on top it goes too deep but then if DH on top it also ends up too deep. So, we do it with DH on his side with my legs over his and this way there's still some kind of satisfaction there 🤔 but it's definitely not deep - if you get my meaning! Does anyone else have the worry that deep penetration will make something bad happen? *

@WolfMother326 that's quite late for an appointment but at least little baba has almost another full day growing in there 😊*

@MudandMoet honestly you'll be fine. If it brings you any comfort I was still having sex at 42 weeks with DS (tried everything to get him out!) and it was all ok. As long as you feel comfortable and there's no pain, any position will be fine. Enjoy 🍆

@emmatcc1 my dog leaked her glands and it gave me the 😷😷 so I feel you here.

And I'm right with everyone on the nausea and fatigue train! I had nausea until 20 weeks last time but don't remember it being this bad. I was told ginger helps and I tried everything ginger last time along with travel bands. If anyone finds anything that works, let me know 😷🙏🏻

@MudandMoet My sex drive has toned down a bit but we still go at normally. I noticed when he’s behind me it hurts a bit but other than that it’s fine. We also haven’t toned it down. Sometimes I get a bit of mild cramping after but I’m not worried that it would harm the baby.

@TallulahTaboo I have a vet appointment today to get the dogs glands cleared out. Hopefully I don’t throw up.

He was shocked and said whatever I chose he will stand by me.
