Hello everyone just found out today I’m pregnant after 17 long cycles of trying. I’m 4 weeks and already so nauseous.

@KittyFantastica yes it's lovely to see a familiar user name.

Wanderlust86 · 07/01/2024 17:33

Congratulations to everyone who has joined 🥳
I've tried to join the fb group but the link doesn't work for me. It just takes me to fb but not the group.

siobhanmt247 · 07/01/2024 17:45

@Fawklight thank you. I've seen officially it's OK but I miscarried with the first when running g and doing run at all with the second. Just seems so fragile especially when I'm so early

Fawklight · 07/01/2024 17:53

@siobhanmt247 I'm sorry to hear that. For now maybe go for long walks until you discuss with midwife so she can reassure you?
The miscarriage wouldn't have been your fault for sure so please don't ever think that for a second.

My sister does fitness for a job. She's had many many miscarriages but it was due to endo. She's now got two healthy insane kids and taught through both pregnancies. (i went to one of her classes ones and could have sworn she was trying to kill me 🤣)

siobhanmt247 · 07/01/2024 18:37

@Fawklight yeah I think I'll do that :)

RoSco197 · 07/01/2024 18:56

Hmmmm I’m not sure what’s happening, as people have joined via that link (but not 20). I can only invite people who I’m friends with so maybe PM me your Facebook name, I’ll add you as a friend and then can add you to the group? Not sure how else to arrange it!

WolfMother326 · 08/01/2024 10:30

Well I am 5+1 today and I got another 2-3 weeks but I'm also feeling nauseous and my boobs are sore, so I've decided to just relax. Going to try not to test again or if I do, wait 3-4 days. Just telling myself these tests aren't a precise science, but also whatever is meant to happen will and I can't control it! Also done giving Clearblue all my money 😂
Have got a scan at EPU tomorrow and will ask them about it hoping they'll reassure me and tell me not to worry.

Those are lovely strong results. Mine are still pretty faint, even on a FRER, which I thought would give me a dye stealer by now as AF is officially late and I'm 4 weeks today accordingly to Flo.

Think I'm just impatient. Maybe I'll look into a digital that gives me the weeks as well 😅.

Lemonyfire · 08/01/2024 13:43

@WolfMother326 I’m in the same boat I’m 5+4 by my estimations and got a 2-3 on Saturday and another 2-3 today 😣 wasn’t FMU today but not sure how much difference it was as it was still pretty concentrated!

WolfMother326 · 08/01/2024 13:50

@Lemonyfire oh thanks for sharing that, I appreciate it. Are you worried, or think its going to be ok for us? I have seen a lot of posts on Mumsnet saying people got the 3+ just a bit late.

emmatcc1 · 08/01/2024 14:00

@Lemonyfire@WolfMother326 My friend was still getting 2-3 when she was 6 weeks along and everything’s fine. Try not to worry too much. Also for it to read 3+ hcg needs to be above 2700.

Juno231 · 08/01/2024 14:07

@Lemonyfire @WolfMother326 I never got a dye stealer on a free or got 3+ with my last pregnancy so I wouldn't worry about it - they're not great tools for that kind of stuff at that point!

@Wanderlust86 I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling as that's exactly what the FB link does for me too. I'll PM you my name @RoSco197 if you don't mind.

WolfMother326 · 08/01/2024 14:38

Thank you @emmatcc1 and @Juno231 that's really comforting.

Lemonyfire · 08/01/2024 14:46

Thanks @emmatcc1 and @Juno231 that’s reassuring❤️
@WolfMother326 trying not to worry as like you say loads of people don’t and will depend on so many factors! In my previous miscarriage I never got a 3+ so that’s why I’m worrying but that’s my personal anxiety- we all have different benchmarks depending on our past experiences xx

Khanga27 · 08/01/2024 15:10

@WolfMother326 @Lemonyfire I know it’s tricky not to worry (I’m the same after my previous miscarriage). In my last pregnancy I got the 3+ when I hoped I would and I still miscarried, whereas I’ve seen posts on here about people either getting 2-3 weeks for a long period or never getting 3+ weeks at all to then go on to have healthy pregnancies. The normal range for HCG by week is such a wide range, so I decided this time to avoid the digital tests completely and to stop testing once I got a dye stealer. It’s so hard to resist the urge to keep testing to try give reassurance but I think just avoiding until any checks/scans has helped my head a bit this time.

Lemonyfire · 08/01/2024 15:17

@Khanga27 wise words xxx I wish I could say I had the willpower to not go and get another digital to test tomorrow. The rational side of me knows it’s a waste of money, unfortunately I’m governed by the other side!

siobhanmt247 · 08/01/2024 17:26

They don't even sell the digital weeks indicator in some countries because it causes so much stress. Try not to worry.

Is anyone tracking bbt? Mine hasn't dropped below baseline but it's just there. Does this one look OK for 10dpo?

Starlight11111 · 08/01/2024 18:33

@siobhanmt247 looks good to me! Congratulations to you!!

Starlight11111 · 08/01/2024 18:36

@Lemonyfire @WolfMother326 agree with others saying not to worry at all. But, I know the feeling well and I'm a hypocrite because I'm scared to do my last weeks indicator because if it doesn't say 3+ it'll send me into a spiral, despite alllll the logic I can give others.

@emmatcc1 is totally right though, the amount of HCG the tests need to show 3+ is wildly different to 2-3 and with the "normal" ranges being so vast and each of us having HCG rise at different rates, please do not stress. And in a couple days / a week when I'm stressing can you refer me to this logic please?! 😅😅

Lemonyfire · 08/01/2024 18:55

@Nic17 I’m the same- the advice I give is not the advice I follow 😂😂😂

Willow89 · 08/01/2024 19:32

Evening all hope everyone is doing ok

I'm looking for a bit of advice, I had a little fall onto my bum today: I tripped on the stairs and managed to turn around so didn't hit my stomach.
I was ok after just a bit shook but now my lower back is absolutely killing me along with my arm and a few cramps in my tummy. Rationally I know everything is absolutely fine but I can't help but worry that I've done some damage. Thankfully no bleeding or anything. Don't want to be a drama queen either and I'm only 5w2d I know they are well protected in there.

Cat2022 · 08/01/2024 20:17

Hi everyone, I got my BFP a few days ago at 9dpo and am due around 14th Sep. I had a MC 3 months ago so feeling pretty anxious but trying to see the positive side so thought I would join.

@Willow89 I hope you’re okay. As you say it’s early on and they are well protected especially as you didn’t fall in your front. I would just try to rest and if the cramps get worse than a period ring your local triage or EPU.

SouthwestSis · 08/01/2024 20:30

Welcome @Cat2022 your EDD is close to mine!
I'm also newly pregnant after a recent loss so know what you're going through.
Are you having much in the way of symptoms? I had my first nausea today and am starting to feel the weariness (though I'm also getting over a cold and have a nearly 2yr old so that's very normal at this point!)

Cat2022 · 08/01/2024 20:52

@SouthwestSis I have been quite crampy and definitely more tired but no nausea yet. Had HG with my little girl so hopefully the nausea stays away 😂 I just did another test and it was a lot darker than this morning so that’s made me feel a lot better.
