Thanks Kate & mums the word, sometimes reassurance is just the ticket. After all I can not influence this pregnancy and I need to keep that in mind.

Kate - how are you and your hubby/dp? I know you have had a really tough time of late and I hope you will continue to post to let us know how your both doing .

EllieG · 09/05/2008 17:08

splishsplosh · 10/05/2008 10:03

Congratulations Neenz on 2 beautiful babies. So glad you had the birth you want - reading your story made me feel all weepy, you sound so happy

Janus · 10/05/2008 12:15

Neenz, they are absolutely beautiful and well done you for getting them out with just gas and air, gulp!! Hope the sleep is still going well.
I have 4 days to go! Can't sleep much at the mo but may have a little afternoon nap today, bliss!
Hope everyone is well.

ronshar · 10/05/2008 16:18

Wow. I am lost for words. Just a Tens and Entonox.
What fantastic news. Just how beautiful are Theo and Esther.
Neenz you have put us all to shame. Oh the pressure of a natural birth for one child.

Right who's next. Come on, bring on the babies.

splishsplosh · 10/05/2008 21:20

Had a lovely afternoon at an outdoor paddling pool, though water was freezing.
That's my top tip for Makecakes for next summer I guess - the paddling pool is in the recreation ground in Beckenham behind the hospital, and although it's not as nice as in Brighton, it's still worth a visit.
Also, there's a nice playgroup in Downham - not very glamorous surroundings perhaps, but lovely activities, including an under 1s group which is great for little babies so they don't get trampled by toddlers. It's the Limelight Family Learning centre at Goldsmith's Community Centre. A good mix of people use it and it does baby massage and other activities too.

My scan 21 week scan is in 10 days.. I'm feeling a bit nervous as well as excited, still can't shake the feeling that there'll be something wrong. I do feel movements, but not that frequently, and I still seem to just have a bit of extra padge, rather than any actual bump

kjust diving in quickly to get this back onto the threads I'm on.

I've been away for what seemks like ages; weekend away and then at the PILS whilst we had new heating installed, then internet down for a couple of days.

Big Big congratulations to Neenz and welcome to Theo and Esther; lovely names . It's so nice to hear about twins delivered naturally (my SIL had twin boys naturally last year). Well Done you, for that and also for the breastfeeding

Hi to the newcomers

I'll catch up better tomorrow.

Oh, and 14+2 today...I'm officially in the second trimester . Nausea has gone, but the heartburn started on cue last night

aw thanks jules

It's those MN vibes...I could feel it pulling me in all day yesterday, but only gor the chance to log in for a bit!

things are very hectic here, trying to get things sorted out in the house and garden (it was like a jungle after a week away and some quality sunshine) then we had friends over and tomorrow have a christening to go to.

and my neck is still giving me a lot of grief...can barely move it some days.

Neenz I've only just joined this thread and had a look at your beautiful babies many congratulations and what an inspiration you are your little bundles of joy are.

Can I ask your opinions please. I'm such a worrier and I'm thinking of buying a baby listening device I think they are called Dopplers? Does anyone out there have one they are happy to recommend? And are they any good?

lackaDAISYcal · 11/05/2008 08:45

neenz, I've just cheked out your photos....gorgeous gorgeous bubs

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 11/05/2008 08:48

I've never used a doppler 07mum, but there are some on here who have. Depending on how far along you are, it can be quite tricky to get a HB, and I'm sure I read something about not using them beofre about 10 weeks due to interfereance with neural tube development.

from my POV though, I think if I had one and couldn't get a HB cas bub was in an awkward position or "hiding" I would worry myself even more sick than normal that something was wrong....if that makes any sense.

Hi by the way, I don't think we've officially met

neenz - congratulations on your babies

makecakesnotwar · 11/05/2008 09:04

Thanks for the tips SS...can't believe how awesome Neenz is...she seems to be posting evry couple of hours on the Jue thread!! Doubt I'll be doing that this time next week!!!

07mumstheword · 11/05/2008 09:08

lackadaisy Thanks that is what I thought because knowing me I'd use it upside down or back to front get no HB and worry even more. I suppose what will be will be and I should just relax. I have a midwife appointment on Weds so I'm sure she'll listen for the heartbeat and that will set me straight. Then my 20 wks scan in 3 wks so lots to look forward to.

Very nice to meet you

lackaDAISYcal · 11/05/2008 09:33
