Hi and welcome Emmsy I remember you from the mc avengers thread - I'm so glad things are going well this time, though it's difficult to stop worrying, isn't it. Lovely picture by the way

Lulu - a few people on my an thread seem to have similar pain to you at times, and it's not been anything to worry about, but it could be worth calling your mw, or NHS Direct if she's not available over the weekend, to put your mind at rest.

Emmsy1 · 04/05/2008 07:12

Lulu I have been getting sharp pains on and off since the start of this pregnancy,I was really worried at first, thought I was destined for an ectopic pregnancy, my scan really put an end to all my fears,I still get them on and off, but because they are more off than on I'm taking it as stretching of the ligaments! If you are really worried about it, then its best to go to the dr's he/she will be able to offer you some reassurance
splishsplosh thanks for the lovely warm welcome, I also remember your name from the m/c avengers thread, glad your no longer there!x

lulu1414 · 04/05/2008 07:47

Thanks, everyone. I'm trying not to worry about every ache and pain, but it is so easy to stress!

Welcome Emmsy.

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

cricri · 04/05/2008 20:20

Welcome Emmsy, glad you found us and good to see you
Lulu Congratulations on your scan and hope your pains have subsided. It is worrying isn't it - you try to tell yourself it's just ligaments etc. stretching but you can't help wondering whether everything is OK. I'm sure it is though. What is your EDD? I'm 14+1 and due on 1 November so we must be close.
Hello to everybody else!

RosyBelle · 04/05/2008 21:01

cricri thanks for inviting me here, i think I will settle in just fine! Have just plucked up the courage to join the due in October thread, don't think I am doing too well there! Will give it a few days, and will leave it if I'm not happy. Think my post today will get a few back's up!just got a little fed up of being ignored, told you it was a little late in the day to join an ante-natal thread, didn't I

Emmsy1 · 05/05/2008 13:47

cricri I have changed my mind about the due in oct thread, I have now had a few nice welcomes, so feeling alot better about it now, thanks for your advice xx

cricri · 05/05/2008 14:19

Emmsy I'm pleased they made you feel welcome. I did have a quick lurk on that thread and saw that it's as big if not bigger than my Due in November thread. It takes time to get to know everybody but on the plus side the thread moves very quickly as there are always people posting which makes it interesting, although a nightmare to catch up with if you're away for a couple of days
Hope everybody else is OK today - it's very quiet in here. Is everybody out enjoying the sunshine?

lulu1414 · 05/05/2008 14:37

Cricri- my due date is officially Nov 3rd, but the doc who did the latest scan said it was OCt 29th, so we are very close.

Are others starting to show? I am 14 + 5 today and feel like my stomach has just popped out over the past couple of days. I think I will have to get me some of those tummy belts!

cricri · 05/05/2008 15:18

Lulu I'm starting to show too and I've bought a couple of pairs of mat trousers already. Don't need the tops yet but I was getting uncomfortable in ordinary trousers. I've also got one of those tummy belts which is basically an insert for normal trousers which is good, but you need a loose-ish top over them otherwise they look a bit unsightly.

lulu1414 · 05/05/2008 16:04

Cri- I'm going to buy a couple of those tummy belts this week. I hear you about the loose tops- I already have a few loose tops that are working well, but will have to buy a few more. I am also in desperate need for new bras. I refused to buy a new one until after the scan and now I am bursting out of the only one that did fit!

goingfor3 · 05/05/2008 16:35

Ronhsar I hope everything is alright with you.

goingfor3 · 05/05/2008 16:35

Ronhsar I hope everything is alright with you.

ronshar · 06/05/2008 09:54

Sorry girls I posted then dissapeared.
All is well at the ronshar household. No more bleeding. I didnt bother going to the Doctors.

We have had a brilliant weekend.

DD2 has just managed to get hold of the nail varnish! I am now off to the launderette with my duvet.
So much for my lazy morning catching up on mumsnet.

I hope everyone had a great weekend

ronshar · 06/05/2008 09:56

Emmsy. Dont worry about the October thread. Some of them are a bit odd!! I feel left out all the time and so spend more time in here. Because everyone is beautiful here. No odd balls. I wouldnt mind but I was one of the first in there. Not like I joined late on, oh well. We can talk to each other

makecakesnotwar · 06/05/2008 11:13

Glad to hear you are OK Ronshar, despite having to go to dry cleaners!!!

And I'm sorry your October thread is not so welcoming. I appear to have found the chattiest one ever (June)...you could always defect to us and we'll keep you going until October!!

TwilightSurfer · 06/05/2008 12:53

Ronshar, Makescakes is correct. June is a wonderfully chatty thread. I was on it for 10 weeks before my {{twilight whispers}} mc. After they all give birth you can move over to my new due thread, Due AUG08. We're quite chatty too, a very amusing bunch if I say so myself. Alittlebitshy is on it too. We'd be happy to let you hang out while you blossom.

alittlebitshy · 06/05/2008 16:33

Gosh - twilight. Are they chattier than us, that June lot? . Wow!!!!

OMG Just Jules, when are you due (I should know )

Ronny - great news!

I am having a bit of a wobble today. Only 6.5wks no pain, no bleeding, no nothing. Had a scan last Thursday and all ok, next scan due in 2 weeks. I am just worried that every sympton is bad and no symptoms also bad. Driving myself slowly bonkers I hate this waiting....

loving hearing all your news jules
How did we get this far ???? [grin} [grin} [grin} [grin} [grin} [grin} [grin} [grin}
I'm 27+2 .... will have a section at 38weeks +. So in a few days I'll be on the 10 week countdown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still too sacred to buy anything or even get out any of my dd's old stuff. Dh says I ought to be packing hospital bags just in case, but - that's a scary idea.
